CAUTION: RISK OF PRODUCT

  • Never connect components under load.

  • Do not mount or support these fixtures in a manner that can cut the outer jacket or damage wire insulation.

  • Unless individual product specifications deem otherwise: Never connect an LED product directly to a dimmer packs, occupancy sensors, timing devices, or other related control devices. LED fixtures must be powered directly off a switched circuit.

  • Unless individual product specifications deem otherwise: Do not restrict fixture ventilation. Allow for some
volume of airspace around fixture. Avoid covering LED fixtures with insulation, foam, or other material that will prevent convection or conduction cooling.

  • Unless individual product specifications deem otherwise: Do not exceed fixtures maximum ambient temperature.

  • Only use fixture in its intended location.

  • LED products are Polarity Sensitive. Ensure proper Polarity before installation.

  • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD): ESD can damage LED fixtures. Personal grounding equipment must be worn during all installation or servicing of the unit.

  • Do not touch individual electrical components as this can cause ESD, shorten lamp life, or alter performance.

  • Some components inside the fixture may not be serviceable. In the unlikely event your unit may require service, stop using the unit immediately and contact an ABL representative for assistance.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLATION!
  • WET LOCATION – REQUIRES 24VAC TO OPERATE.

DO NOT CONNECT TO LINE VOLTAGE!

  • This luminaire must be installed and wired by a qualified electrician to NEC and Local Codes. See power requirements on the rating label.
  • The HYLINE HLF series are low voltage LED luminaires that are dimmable with normal low voltage dimming equipment. As such, they are susceptible to reduced light output because of voltage drop over long wire runs.
  • HYLINE HLF can be mounted end-to-end with no shadows between units. The extruded aluminum body of the HYLINE HLF-fixed uses two stainless mounting clips (per luminaire) to allow for ease of installation. The luminaire simply snaps into the mount clips where it is held securely in place. The extruded aluminum body of the
  • HYLINE HLF- adjustable has two die-cast mount caps (one on each end) that are installed to the mount bases. This allows for over 200 degrees of rotation.
The integral wireway snaps onto the housing bottom containing the wires and keeping them organized and hidden. An optional conduit connection hub can be specified at the end of a run to enable connection to conduit.

Note:

  • Hyline 207 / 209 / 211 luminaires are UL listed for wet location. They must not be installed in any location where there is a chance of the fixture being submersed in water.
FIXED MOUNT
  1. Locate end feed box, layout, and fasten the mount clips to mounting surface.
  2. Trim luminaire feed wires as required but DO NOT REMOVE FUSE!
  3. Connect luminaire wires to power feed wires with supplied connectors (as shown in connector detail below).
  4. Bundle wires and secure inside bottom of housing with supplied wire clips.
  5. Snap wire tray into housing bottom.
  6. nap fixture into the fixed mounts to secure.
ADJUSTABLE MOUNT
  1. Locate ended box, and layout and mark the mount locations.
  2. Remove 2 screws holding mount caps to mount bases and secure mounts to the mounting surface with appropriate fasteners.
  3. Lay feed wires over mounts from the connection box through the end of the run.
  4. Trim luminaire feed wires as required but DO NOT REMOVE THE FUSE!
  5. Connect luminaire wires to power feed wires with supplied connectors (as shown in the connector detail below).
  6. Bundle wires and secure them inside the bottom of the housing with supplied wire clips.
  7. Snap the wire tray into the housing bottom.
  8. Align boss on the luminaire endcap into a hole on the mount cap
  9. Install mount caps to mount base
  10. Aim as required and lock in place with a set screw at top of the mounting cap.
  • READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLATION!

  • This luminaire must be installed and wired by a qualified electrician to NEC and Local Codes. See power requirements on the rating label.

REMOTE MOUNTING CONSIDERATIONS

The HYLINE 200 Series is powered by remote-mounted transformers. The maximum remote distance of the transformer is dependent on many factors including total LED load, wire size, distance from the transformer to the first fixture in each run, and starting voltage at the transformer. The installer is to ensure that 24VAC is present at the beginning of the run. By using a combination of large-gauge wire and adjusting the output voltage of the transformer, the installer can compensate for voltage drop over long remote distances. The wiring from the start of the run to the last fixture on the run need only be 12 AWG.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

No regular maintenance is required. The LED module and driver are non- serviceable components with a 50,000-hour operating life to 70% initial output. At 100,000 hours, the light output will be approximately 50% of the initial. Clean the fixture with a soft cloth moistened with mild soap and water.HYDREL-HLF207-Linear-Flood-FIG-8
