Knuckle Mount Installation
This luminaire is pre-wired with a UL listed wet location cord and fittings.
It is not necessary to access fixture housing or driver box to install or wire
the luminaire. If access to the driver compartment is necessary, please refer
to Section 3.2, Electrical Component Replacement.
To mount the fixture, remove the knuckle mount base from each of the knuckle assembies by loosening the two (2) 10-24 socket head set screws at the bottom of each knuckle assembly. See Figure
- Attach both knuckle bases to the mounting surface using two (2) 1/4-20 stainless steel socket cap screws (not provided) and appropriate mounting inserts (not provided) suitable for use in the mounting surface material. See Figure 1 for knuckle base mounting hole pattern and Figure 2 for knuckle base spacing.
- To attach fixture to each knuckle mount base, loosen the linear adjustment fastener from both knuckle assemblies approximately two turns until knuckle assembly can slide along fixture axis.
- Align both knuckle assemblies to match the spacing of each knuckle mount base and slip knuckle assembly in place. While holding fixture in place retighten both linear adjustment fasteners to approximately 45 in-lbs. Next retighten all four (4) of the 10-24 socket head set screws at the bottom of each knuckle assembly to approximately 35 in-lbs. See Figure 3.
- To aim fixture loosen both of the 1/4-20 socket head cap knuckle adjustment fasteners approximately two turns until assembly moves freely.
Note: The knuckle “AimLock” may need to be released to facilitate adjustment. If so, after loosening the ¼-20 knuckle adjustment fastener using a small flat blade screwdriver, gently insert the tip into the aimlock release cavity and pry upward to release the mechanism. See Figure 4.
- Once the assembly free to move, aim the fixture by rotating the entire fixture either up or down until proper aiming is achieved. Once aimed, retighten both of the 1/4-20 socket head cap knuckle adjustment fasteners to approximately 45 in-lbs.
