  • Unless individual product specifications deem otherwise: Do not restrict fixture ventilation. Allow for some volume of airspace around fixture. Avoid covering LED fixtures with insulation, foam, or other material that will prevent convection or conduction cooling.
  • Unless individual product specifications deem otherwise: Do not exceed fixtures maximum ambient temperature.
  • Only use fixture in its intended location.
  • LED products are Polarity Sensitive. Ensure proper Polarity before installation.
  • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD): ESD can damage LED fixtures. Personal grounding equipment must be worn during all installation or servicing of the unit.
  • Do not touch individual electrical components as this can cause ESD, shorten lamp life, or alter performance.
  • Some components inside the fixture may not be serviceable. In the unlikely event your unit may require service, stop using the unit immediately and contact an ABL representative for assistance.

Note : Install 4750L Luminaires utilizing fixture Installation Instructions.

Note : No luminaire should be installed between DMX Controller and any DPI Box.

Note : No more that four DPI boxes can be utilized between the DMX Controller and any luminaire. A pyramid type arrangement can be used with DPI Boxes serving as hubs.

2.2 Fixture Connection to DPI Box

The luminaire is pre-wired with a UL listed wet location cord. It is not necessary to access fixture housing or driver box to install or wire the luminaire.

2.2.1
For single fixture connection up to four luminaires can be
connected to a single DPI Box. For more than four fixtures multiple DPI Boxes can be connected in series up to four DPI boxes. Utilizing the appropriate water tight cable gland, cord seal, or conduit fitting, make luminaire connection to DPI Box.

2.2.2
For continuous run fixture connection up to four fixture runs can be connected to a single DPI Box. For more than four fixture runs multiple DPI Boxes can be connected in series up to four DPI boxes. Utilizing the appropriate water tight cable gland, cord seal, or conduit fitting, make luminaire connection to DPI Box. For all continuous run applications the last fixture in the series must be terminated with a 120 ohm resistor cap, Hydrel part number RR4750L.

Note : For the conduit connection option the preferred communication/data cable used to carry the DMX signal is a Belden 9829 cable.

2.3 DPI Electrical & DMX Connections

2.3.1
Make sure supply power is turned off before making any connections.

2.3.2
Make power and DMX data connections to DPI box by first removing the 4 screws and cover of the DPI Box. Remove the package of Blank-Off plugs from the inside of the DPI Box and retain for future use. Verify that tall conduit and luminaire cable connections have been made using the appropriate water tight fittings. Make all wiring connections per the DPI Box diagram and figure 5 and 6 below. Use supplied Blank-Off plugs to seal all unused conduit entrances to the DPI Box.

Note : Line Voltage must be isolated to the primary side of the DPI Box assembly.

Note : Low Voltage data lines must be isolated to the secondary side of the DPI Box assembly
