How often should I change the filters? Where to

support@petlibro.com to purchase new
filters.
Why do I need to soak the filter before the first
use?| The filters absorb more water (and therefore clean more water)
when they’re wet and expanded. Soaking the filter removes particulate matter

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this pet fountain really worth the money?
Yes, the PetLibro Stainless Steel Cat Water Fountain is definitely worth the money. It has a lot of features that are not available in other cat water fountains. The price is also very reasonable considering how well it works.
Is this pet fountain easy to clean?
Yes, it is very easy to clean. All you have to do is remove the top lid and then take out the filter and wash it with soap and water. You can also use a brush to clean it if you want.
Can I use any kind of water in this pet fountain?
Yes, you can use any kind of water in this pet fountain. You can use tap water, distilled water or filtered water. You don’t have to buy bottled water for your cat’s drinking water.
How often do I need to change my cat’s drinking water?
You should change your cat’s drinking water every day so that he or she will always have fresh and clean drinking water available at all times. This will ensure that your cat will always drink from his or her favorite drinking fountain instead of from your bathroom sink or toilet bowl!
Will my cat get electrocuted if he or she drinks from this pet fountain?
No, your cat won’t get electrocuted if he or she drinks from this pet fountain because all electrical components are properly insulated and protected against electrical shorts and overloads. However, if you have an older model of this pet fountain (with no indicator light on top), then there is a possibility that your cat might get electrocuted because older models did not come with an indicator light on top that would tell you when it’s time to change the battery! So please make sure that you have an updated version of this pet fountain before purchasing one for your kitty!
How often do you change the filter in a cat’s fountain?
The filter should be replaced every 3 to 4 weeks or when there are visible signs that the filter is saturated with foreign matter (debris, food, hair, etc.) or if the water flow is impeded. More frequent changes may be necessary due to indoor environmental and water conditions, as well as multiple pet use.
How often do you change the water in a cat water fountain?
Clean the fountain every 3 to 4 days for multiple cats, and every 5 to 6 days for a single cat. Allow the number of cats you have to figure into the equation as well as if they are long or short hair.
How often do you change the filter in a pet fountain?
The charcoal filter should be changed every 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the number of pets using the fountain. If you have more pets or notice more debris, a slimy feel, or decreased water flow in your fountain, you should clean it more often.
Can you use a cat fountain without a filter?
All cat fountains will run without the filters. They do not assist in the mechanics of running the fountains. However, if the fountain has a lot of nooks and crevices in which debris can collect it will definitely want some sort of mechanical filtration to prevent this material from entering the pump.
How long do water fountain filters last?
Filters in residential settings should be changed every 6 to 12 months. Reverse osmosis, membranes, and additional alkalisers only need to be changed every 2 years or 4 years, respectively.
How often should I have to add water to my fountain?
As stated above, you need to have the pump constantly submerged with a consistent level of water in your outdoor fountain. Take note every day of the water level in your garden fountain. The pump will not cause the water levels to drop, but evaporation will so add water frequently.
How often should you clean a fountain?
You should give your fountain a regular cleaning every three months to prevent any algae from gaining hold of your fountain’s basin or pump. Placing your fountain in an area that has significant shade can also help to slow algae growth.
How often should you clean a cat fountain?
The fountain should be cleaned at least once a month to avoid mineral buildup and to ensure clean drinking water for your pet. It is recommended to clean the pump and change the filter when cleaning the fountain. Multi-pet households may need to clean every two weeks.
