Product Usage Instructions

Mouthpiece:
Attach the silicone mouthpiece cover over the mouthpiece.

Power:
Hold the Power button to turn on your Digital Wind Instrument.

Voice:
Press the Voice button V and then use the Function buttons to select your instrument sound.

Bluetooth Connection:
To connect your mobile device to your instrument via Bluetooth MIDI:

  1. Hold down the Bluetooth button to turn on the Bluetooth MIDI function.
  2. Connect via your chosen music app to pair with your device (not through standard Bluetooth settings).
  3. In your music app’s Settings menu, find and select the digital wind instrument to pair.
  4. Example for GarageBand: Settings – Advanced – Bluetooth MIDI Device, find ‘Carry-on DWI 2’ in the Devices list and connect.

Battery:
This product has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery that can support up to 3 hours of use from a full charge under normal conditions.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • MOUTHPIECE: Attach the silicone mouthpiece cover over the mouthpiece.

  • POWER : Hold the Power button to turn on your Digital Wind Instrument.

  • VOICE : Press the Voice button and then use the Function buttons to select your instrument sound.

    • REVERB : Press the Reverb button and then use the Function buttons to select on or off.
  • TRANSPOSE : Press the Transpose button and then use the Function buttons to transpose your instrument up or down 12 semitones.

  • VOLUME : Press the Volume button and then use the Function buttons to select your volume.

  • FINGERING : Hold down the Transpose button until the screen displays ‘F1’. Use the Function buttons to select Fingering 1 (Saxophone) or 2 (Chinese flute).

  • BREATH SENSITIVITY : Breath Sensitivity refers to the amount of air pressure required to generate a loud sound. The higher the sensitivity means less air pressure is needed to make the note louder. To select Breath Sensitivity, hold down theVolume button until the screen displays ‘b1’. Use the Function buttons to select between breath sensitivity 1 (low), 2 (medium) or 3 (high).

  • BLUETOOTH : Hold down the Bluetooth button to turn the Bluetooth MIDI function on or off. To connect your mobile device to your instrument, please do not try to connect through your standard Bluetooth settings. Instead, you will need to connect via your chosen music app to pair with your device. Go to the Settings menu in your chosen music app to connect your digital wind instrument. Using GarageBand as an example, go to: Settings – Advanced – Bluetooth MIDI Device Find ‘Carry-on DWI 2’ in the Devices list and tap to connect. When the Bluetooth button indication stops flashing and remains lit, the connection is complete.
    NOTE : The connection is BLE-MIDI data. Audio streaming to Bluetooth headphones or other speaker devices is not supported.

  • EXIT : To exit a setting, press any button apart from the Bluetooth button. This will take you out of the current action.

BATTERY

  • This product has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery, which can support up to 3 hours of use from full charge under normal conditions.
  • Press the Power button to display the remaining power. When the battery power is low, the power LED will flash to indicate low power.
  • Continual use of the product while the battery power is low may\ impair its performance and can decrease the life span of the battery. Please connect and charge the product with a suitable power supply immediately.
  • To charge the device, always use a suitable USB charger connected to the USB-C port. The power LED will flash slowly to show that your\ device is charging. The power LED will stop flashing once the battery is fully charged.
  • To save power, the unit will automatically shut down after 15 minutes of inactivity.

FACTORY RESET

Press and hold the Voice button whilst powering on the device to perform a factory reset. The screen will flash ‘r5’ several times then wait for the home screen to load then use as normal.

PRECAUTIONS

  • To avoid electric shock, short circuit, accidents, fire, or other hazards, please pay attention to the following important information:
  • Do not dissemble, squeeze or throw the battery into a fire. If the battery swells, please do not continue to use the device.
  • Ensure that the internal battery pack is not exposed to excessive heat.
  • Keep away from fire, hot surfaces, direct sunlight or other ignition sources.
  • Please keep your Carry-on Digital Wind Instrument 2 away from rain, water or any other wet environment.
  • Please dispose of the used battery following local recycling laws.
  • Please do not open your Carry-on Digital Wind Instrument 2, dissemble its parts or make any changes to the internal components.
  • This product has no parts that can be repaired or altered by an untrained professional.
  • If you notice abnormal behaviour with your Carry-on Digital Wind Instrument 2’s functions, please contact an official service centre.
  • Before cleaning your Carry-on Digital Wind Instrument 2, turn off the power and disconnect all cables. Do not clean your Carry-on Digital Wind Instrument 2 with a corrosive solvent.
  • This product is not suitable for children under three years of age.
