RAB LFLED 8LV Floodlight
Product Information
The RAB Lighting LED floodlight is a high-quality, well-designed, and energy- efficient lighting fixture. It is designed to be mounted on a weatherproof junction box or a mighty post (sold separately). The fixture comes with a universal voltage driver that permits operation at 120V through 240V, 50 or 60 Hz. The fixture is equipped with a non-abrasive glass lens and an LED that does not require maintenance.
Product Usage Instructions
Wall Mounting
- Mount the fixture to a weatherproof junction box and cover plate (not provided) as shown in Fig. 1.
- Thread the fixture into the cover plate (sold separately).
- Connect wires as shown in the wiring diagram (Fig. 3).
- Attach the cover plate to the junction box (sold separately).
- Aim the floodlight in the desired direction and tighten the locknut and arm screw.
Ground Mounting

Mount the fixture to a mighty post (RAB Cat# MP19) as shown in
Fig. 2. -
Thread the fixture into the mighty post cap.

Connect wires as shown in the wiring diagram (Fig. 3) and place
inside the mighty post. -
Place the mighty post cap on the mighty post.

Aim the floodlight in the desired direction and tighten the
locknut and arm screw.
Wiring
- Connect the black fixture lead to the (+) LINE supply lead.
- Connect the white fixture lead to the (-) COMMON supply lead.
- Connect the ground wire from the fixture to the supply ground.
Cleaning & Maintenance
CAUTION: Be sure fixture temperature is cool enough to touch. Do not clean or maintain while fixture is energized.
- Clean the glass lens with a non-abrasive glass cleaning solution.
- Do not open the fixture to clean the LED. Do not touch the LED.
Troubleshooting
- Check that the line voltage at the fixture is correct. Refer to wiring directions.
- Ensure that the fixture is grounded properly.
- Keep leaves and debris out of the hood.

RAB fi xtures must be wired in accordance with the National Electrical Code
and all applicable local codes. Proper grounding is required for safety. THIS
PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE INSTALLATION CODE
BY A PERSON FAMILIAR WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF THE PRODUCT AND
THE HAZARDS INVOLVED.
WARNING: Make certain power is OFF before installing or maintaining fi xture.
No user serviceable parts inside. CAUTION: For proper weatherproof function
all gaskets must be seated properly and all screws inserted and tightened fi
rmly. Apply weatherproof silicone sealant around the edge of the wall cover
plate or junction box. This is especially important with an uneven surface.
Suitable for wet locations. Suitable for mounting within 1.2m (4ft) of the
ground. Suitable for wet locations.
WALL MOUNTING
Mount to a weatherproof junction box and cover plate (not provided) as shown in Fig. 1. To ensure weatherproof seal, apply weatherproof silicone sealant around the edge of the wall cover plate or surface box. This is especially important with an uneven wall surface.
- Seal arm thread using Tefl on® tape or silicone sealant.
- Thread fixture into Cover Plate (sold separately).
- Connect wires as shown in the wiring diagram (Fig. 3).
- Attach Cover Plate to Junction Box (sold separately).
- Aim floodlight in the direction desired and tighten Locknut and Arm Screw.
GROUND MOUNTING
Mount to a Mighty Post (RAB Cat# MP19) as shown in Fig. 2.
- Thread fixture into Mighty Post Cap.
- Connect wires as shown in the wiring diagram (Fig. 3) and place inside the Mighty Post.
- Place Mighty Post Cap on the Mighty Post.
- Aim floodlight in the direction desired and tighten Locknut and Arm Screw.
WIRING
Universal voltage driver permits operation at 120V through 240V, 50 or 60 Hz.
- Connect the black fixture lead to the (+) LINE supply lead.
- Connect the white fixture lead to the (-) COMMON supply lead.
- Connect the GROUND wire from fixture to supply ground.
ACCESSORIES
Reflector door lens kit can be ordered separately:
- LNSLFLED8 15° spot reflector, door, lens kit for LFLED8
- LSLFLED8 20° spot reflector, door, lens kit for LFLED8
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
