The supplied AC adaptor is suitable for use on AC main supplies of 100-240V ~ and should only be connected to a mains supply within these parameters.
In a concern of saving energy, when playback has reached to the end or listening volume is set at a very low level and no control is operated on the device for a period of 10 minutes, the unit will automatically switch to Standby mode.
Cautions:

  • The AC adaptor included with this unit is for its use only. Do not use it with other equipment.
  • Turn off the unit before unplugging the AC adaptor from the unit so as to avoid the unit being damaged.
  • When the unit is not going to be used for long time, disconnect the AC adaptor from the AC outlet.
  • Be sure to use it near the wall outlet and easily accessible. If a malfunction occurs, disconnect the plug from the wall outlet at once.
  • AC adaptor is used as the disconnect device. It shall remain readily operable and should not be obstructed during intended use. To be completely disconnected the apparatus from supply mains, the AC adaptor of the apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains socket outlet completely.
  • Never use an AC adaptor that is damaged, route power lead in a safe manner and make sure it is not subjected to trapping or pinching. If the power lead is damaged refer to a qualified service agent.

OPENING AND CLOSING THE TURNTABLE COVER

  1. To open the turntable cover, press down the cover and release it when you hear a click sound.

  3. Hold the lower part of support bracket towards the front of turntable, then lay down the cover gently until the support bracket locks and holds up the cover properly.
    CAUTION !

  4. To close the turntable cover, lift up the cover to its maximum height to release from the support bracket, then lay down the cover gently. Press down the cover to lock it. You will hear a click sound.muse MT-115 W Turntable Micro System - support bracket

TURNING ON/OFF THE UNIT

  1. To press the POWER button, the STANDBY indicator turns RED and “OFF” appears on display, then press STANDBY/ON button to turn the unit ON.
  2. To power off the unit, press the STANDBY/ON button, then press the POWER button.

SELECTING FUNCTION

The function (TUNER/ CD/ USB/ PHONO/ BLUETOOTH-AUX) is selected by pressing MODE button repeatedly.

LISTENING TO THE RADIO
When the unit is on, press FM button or MODE button to select the FM mode until “TUNER” appears on display.

Manual search

  1. Choose your radio station by TUNING knob.
  2. Adjust the volume to the desired level.

Automatic search
Fast rotate the TUNING knob clockwise or anti-clockwise, the radio will automatically search a station upward or downward and stop at a strong station.

Manual storage

  1. Select a radio station manually or in automatic search.
  2. Press . “01” blinks on the screen.
  3. Press or to select a channel.
  4. Press to save it.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 to store other stations.

Automatic storage
Press and hold SCAN button for few seconds and the unit will automatically save the first 30 FM stations.
Press the STOP button to stop the scan. When you store on a channel already been preset, the previous station will automatically be cleared and replaced by the new station.
Listen to the station presets.

  1. Press P+ button or P- button and repeat the operation as many times as necessary to select your station.
  2. Adjust the volume to the desired level.

LISTENING TO THE CD DISC/MP3

Program playback

  1. When the unit is on, press CD/USB button or MODE button to select the CD mode until “CD” appears on display.
  2. Press OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tray. Display shows ” OPEN”, Insert a disc with label side facing up. Press OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the disc tray.
  3. The display will show “READING” for a few seconds, then playback starts automatically.
  4. Select desired track with / .
  5. Press PLAY/PAUSE to suspend momentarily the track playback. Press PLAY/PAUSE again to resume playback.
  6. Press STOP button to stop the playback.

Repeat playback
Repeatedly press REPEAT button to select one of the following playback modes. Track Repeat, Repeat All and Repeat Folder.
To disable the repeat playback
Press REPEAT button repeatedly until the repeat mode indicator disappears from the display. The repeat function is automatically canceled at the opening of the door of the CD or the shutdown of the unit.
Random playback
Press the RANDOM button to play randomly, the “RANDOM” will show on the display for few second. Press the RANDOM button again to cancel the random. “NORMAL” will show on the display for a few seconds.

USB PLAYBACK

  1. Connect a USB device containing MP3 files or MP3 player to the USB port.
  2. When the unit is on, press CD/USB button or MODE button to select the USB mode until USB indicator appears on display.
  3. Adjust the volume to the desired level.
  4. Select desired track with / .
  5. Press PLAY/PAUSE to suspend momentarily the track playback. Press PLAY/PAUSE again to resume playback.
  6. Press STOP button to stop the playback.

Repeat playback
Repeatedly press REPEAT button to select one of the following playback modes. Track Repeat, Repeat All and Repeat Folder.
To disable the repeat playback
Press REPEAT button repeatedly until the repeat mode indicator disappears from the display.
Random playback
Press the RANDOM button to play randomly, the “RANDOM” will show on the display for few second. Press the RANDOM button again to cancel the random. “NORMAL” will show on the display for a few seconds.
Removing the USB device
Please be sure to stop playback and turn the unit OFF before removing the USB device to avoid damaging the USB and system.
Note:

  • There are many USB devices in the market. We cannot guarantee to support all different models. Please try another USB device if yours is not supported.
  • The unit might not support all the multimedia files stored in USB because it includes some special playback procedure which might not be compatible with the procedure of this unit.

LISTENING TO THE PHONO

  1. When the unit is on, press MODE button to select the phono mode until PHONO indicator appears on display.

  2. Remove the stylus cover from the stylus and release the Tone arm rest.

  3. Place a record on the turntable platter and select the desired speed (33/45/78) according to the record.
    NOTE: If you are playing 45 RPM singles, place the 45 RPM adapter on the center spindle.

  4. Push up the lift lever to raise the tone arm and gently move the tone arm to the desired position onto the record, Push down the lift lever, move the tone arm slowly onto the record to start playing the record.

  5. Adjust the volume control to your desired level.

  6. If the AUTO STOP ON/OFF Switch is turned ON, the record will stop automatically when playback ends. If Auto Stop switch is turned OFF, record will NOT stop automatically when playback ends.

Remark:
Certain types of records may have an auto-stop area outside the preset limit, so the turntable may stop before the last track finishes. If this occurs, set the AUTO-STOP switch to the “OFF” position. This allows the record to play to the end, but please note that it will not stop automatically. You must manually raise the tone arm and place it back in the rest and then turn off the power to prevent the turntable from spinning.
IMPORTANT:
Do not turn or stop the Turntable platter manually. Moving or jarring the Turntable platter without securing the Tone Arm Clamp could cause damage to the Tone Arm or Stylus.

CONNECTING AUXILIARY SOURCE

  1. Connect your auxiliary source (e. g. mp3 player) to the AUX IN jack (3.5mm) on back of unit. (cable not included).
  2. Press MODE button repeatedly to select AUX mode until “BT AUX” indicator appear on display.
  3. Start playback from your auxiliary source.
  4. Adjust the volume to desired level.
  5. To stop playback, disconnect your auxiliary source from the AUX IN jack.

Pairing a Bluetooth Device

  1. Press MODE button repeatedly to select BLUETOOTH mode until “BT AUX” indicator and “BT” icon appear on display. (Taking away the AUX IN cable when in Bluetooth mode)
  2. On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select “MT-115 W” from the Device List. (Refer to the user manual of the device to be connected for detailed operations.) You will hear an indication voice when pairing is successful.
  3. Press OPEN/CLOSE button to disconnect the Bluetooth device.
    Tip: If you want to connect your Bluetooth speaker to another Bluetooth audio device, you need to disconnect current device first and follow the steps above to make a new connection.
  • On some devices such as computers, once paired you must select the unit from the Bluetooth menu and choose “Use as Audio Device (stereo)” or similar.

  • Pairing remains intact when the unit and/or your Bluetooth device is taken out of communication range.
    An active connection will be re-established when your Bluetooth device returns within range.

  • When the unit is turned on again, it will automatically try to reconnect with the most recently paired Bluetooth device.

Using a Bluetooth Device

  1. With a unit paired (see previous section), operate your Bluetooth device and its sound will be heard through the MT-115W’s speakers.
  2. Press the SCAN/PLAY/PAUSE button to pause playback. Press again to resume playback.
  3. Select desired track with / .
  4. Adjust the volume using the Volume buttons. You can also adjust the volume on the device to which you are paired.

RECORDING THE FM

  1. Connect the USB device to the USB port (Make sure the USB device have enough space to save the encoding).
  2. Follow procedures in LISTENING TO THE FM section. Long press the USB REC button for around 10 seconds, the “USB” icon will appear around 6 seconds and then begin flashing, then recording will start.
  3. Press STOP to stop encoding.
  4. To listen the recording, repeatedly press CD/USB button or MODE button to select the USB mode until USB indicator appear on display, and press / to find the last file in the USB, then the playback starts automatically.

RECORDING THE CD/MP3

  1. Connect the USB device to the USB port (Make sure the USB device have enough space to save the encoding).

  2. Follow procedures 1 to 8 in LISTENING TO THE CD DISC/MP3 section. Press the USB REC button, the “REC ONE” icon appears in display.

  3. Press / to choose ONE (single CD song recording), ALL (whole CD recording) or FOLD (folder recording/MP3).
    – Single CD song recording:
    Choose “ONE” icon appears on display, press the USB REC button to confirm the to record the current song, the display will show “READING” for few seconds, and then the “USB” icon will show on display and flashes.
    Press STOP to stop encoding or will stop automatically when the song finish, the display will show “END REC”, and “USB” icon will disappear.
    – Whole CD recording:
    Choose “ALL” icon appears on display, press the USB REC button to confirm to record the whole disc, the display will show “READING” for few seconds, and then the “USB” icon will appear and flashes.
    Press STOP to stop encoding or will stop automatically when the CD song finish, the display will show “END REC”, and “USB” icon will disappear.
    – Folder recording (MP3):
    Choose “FOLD” icon appears on display, press the USB REC button to confirm to record the folder, the display will show “READING” for few seconds, and then the “USB” icon will appear and flashes.
    Press STOP to stop encoding or will stop automatically when the CD song finish, the display will show “END REC”, and “USB” icon will disappear.

  4. To listen the recording, repeatedly press CD/USB or MODE button to select the USB mode until USB indicator appear on display, and press / to find the last file in the USB, then the playback starts automatically.

RECORDING THE PHONO

  1. Connect the USB device to the USB port (Make sure the USB device have enough space to save the encoding).
  2. Follow procedures 1 to 6 in LISTENING TO THE PHONO section. Press the USB REC button for around 3 seconds, “REC” will appear on display for few seconds, then the “USB” icon flashes, and recording will start.
  3. Press STOP to stop encoding, “END REC” will appear on the display.
  4. To listen the recording, repeatedly press CD/USB button or MODE button to select the USB mode until USB indicator appear on display, and press / to find the last file in the USB, then the playback starts automatically.

RECORDING THE AUX IN

  1. Connect the USB device to the USB port (Make sure the USB device have enough space to save the encoding).
  2. Follow procedures 1 to 5 in CONNECTING AUXILIARY SOURCE section. Press the USB REC button for 3 seconds, “REC” will appear on display for few seconds, then the “USB” icon flashes, and recording will start.
  3. Press STOP to stop encoding, the “USB” icon will disappear.
  4. To listen the recording, repeatedly press CD/USB button or MODE button to select the USB mode until USB indicator appear on display, and press / to find the last file in the USB, then the playback starts automatically.

RECORDING THE BLUETOOTH

  1. Connect the USB device to the USB port (Make sure the USB device have enough space to save the encoding).
  2. Follow procedures 1 to 4 in Using a Bluetooth Device section. Long press the USB REC button for around 10 seconds, the “USB” icon and “REC” will appear around 6 seconds, then the “USB” icon begin flashing, then recording will start.
  3. Press STOP to stop encoding, the display will show “END REC” and USB icon will disappear.
  4. To listen the recording, repeatedly press CD/USB button or MODE button to select the USB mode until USB indicator appear on display, and press / to find the last file in the USB, then the playback starts automatically.

USING HEADPHONES / EARPHONES (NOT INCLUDED)

Maximum output voltage ≤ 150 mV
HEADPHONE VOLUME WARNING
Connect earphones with the volume set low and increase it if required. Prolonged listening through some earphones at high volume settings can result in hearing damage. When headphones/earphones are connected, no sound will be emitted from the unit’s speaker.
Caution: Avoid listening to sound at levels which may be harmful to your ears.

To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods.

USING THE RCA LINE OUT JACK
Connect one end of audio cable (cable not included) to the LINE OUT jack on the rear of unit and other end of cable connect to the RCA IN jack or AUX in jack of your other audio drive equipment.

  1. Turn on your audio drive equipment.
  2. Select one of your favorite mode (PHONO, USB, AUX IN) and start your mode playback.

HOW TO REPLACE THE TURNTABLE STYLUS (NEEDLE)

Removing the Stylus (needle) from the Cartridge

  1. Raise the Tone Arm.
    To remove the old stylus needle, Place a screwdriver at the tip of the stylus and push downward as shown in direction “A”.

  2. Remove the stylus by pulling the stylus forward and pushing downward.

Installing the Stylus

  1. Hold the tip of the stylus and insert the stylus by pressing as shown indirection “B”.
  2. Push the stylus upward as in direction “C” until the stylus locks into thetip position.

TIPS FOR BETTER TURNTABLE PERFORMANCE

  1. When opening or closing the turntable cover, handle it gently, gripping it either at the center or at each side.
  2. Do not touch the needle tip with your fingers; avoid bumping the needle against the turntable platter or record edge.
  3. Frequently clean the needle tip-use a soft brush in a “back-to-front” motion only.
  4. If you must use a needle cleaning fluid, use very sparingly.
  5. Gently wipe the dust cover and turntable housing with a soft cloth. Use only a small amount of mild detergent to clean the turntable and dust cover.
  6. Never apply harsh chemicals or solvents to any part of the turntable system.

MAINTENANCE

Cleaning
Be sure to turn the unit off and disconnect the AC adaptor before maintaining the unit.

  • Use a soft, dry, clean cloth. Regularly dust the vents at the back or sides.
  • Using solvents, abrasive or alcohol-based products risks damaging the appliance.
  • If an object or liquid enters inside the appliance, unplug it immediately and have it checked by an authorized engineer.

Note on disc

  • Do not use irregular shape CDs (example: heart-shaped, octagonal ones). It may result in malfunctions.
  • Do not place more than one disc in the disc compartment.
  • Do not try to open the disc compartment during playing.
  • If there is a scratch, dirt or fingerprints on the disc, it may cause tracking error. Before playing, clean the disc with a cleaning cloth. Wipe the disc from the center out. Don’t store discs in places with high temperatures or high humidity, they can become warped. After playing, store the disc in its case.

Important Note

  • Before transporting the unit, remove the disc from the disc compartment.
