Product Information

R 105 Clock
The R 105 Clock is an electronic device designed for indoor use. It is a clock that displays the time and has an alarm feature. It may be powered by either batteries or an AC adapter (not included in the package). The clock also has a safety feature that protects against fire and electric shock.

Safety Instructions

  • Read the manual carefully and save it for future use.
  • Use only accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not overload electrical outlets, do not use extension cords,or outlets integrated into other devices.
  • Do not attempt to repair the device yourself, all servicing should be done by a qualified service technician.
  • Do not expose the device to water or wet locations such as near a pool, bathtub, kitchen sink, in a damp cellar, laundry room, and so on.
  • Do not expose the device to heat sources such as radiators, heating or other heat-producing appliances such as amplifiers. Do not expose it to direct sunlight or open flame.
  • Keep a minimum distance of 10 cm from other objects for proper ventilation.

Product Usage Instructions:

  1. To set the time: press and hold the “set” button until the hour display starts flashing. Use the “+” and “-” buttons to adjust the hour. Press “set” again to confirm and move to the minute display.
    Use the “+” and “-” buttons to adjust the minute. Press “set” again to confirm and exit.

  2. To set the alarm: press and hold the “alarm” button until the hour display starts flashing. Use the “+” and “-” buttons to adjust the hour. Press “alarm” again to confirm and move to the minute display. Use the “+” and “-” buttons to adjust the minute. Press “alarm” again to confirm and exit.

  3. To turn on/off the alarm: press the “alarm” button once. The alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.

  4. To turn on/off the snooze function: press the “snooze” button when the alarm goes off. The alarm will stop sounding and will start again in a few minutes.

  5. To switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time format: press and hold the “+” button until the display shows “12H” or “24H”. Press “+” or “-” to select the desired format. Press “set” to confirm and exit.

  6. To switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units: press and hold the “-” button until the display shows “°C” or “°F”.
    Press “+” or “-” to select the desired unit. Press “set” to confirm and exit.

  7. To turn off the device: unplug it from the AC outlet or remove the batteries.

  • The adapter (not included in the package) should have the parameters listed in the technical data later in this manual.
  • Unplug this device during a thunderstorm, before any maintenance, if you do not use the device for a long time, if the device does not work correctly and if the device is damaged (by e.g. fall on floor).
  • To protect against fire or electric shock do not overload electrical outlets, do not use extension cords or outlets integrated into other devices
  • Do not attempt to repair this device yourself.
  • All servicing should be done by a qualified service technician.
  • In particular, unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions:
  • Liquid or foreign objects have entered the product or it has been exposed to rain or other liquids.
  • If the product does not operate normally according to these instructions. Use the control elements described in this manual only; the improper configuration of other control elements can lead to damage and often requires extensive service from a qualified technician to renew normal operation.
  • ATTENTION: DO NOT REMOVE COVER OF THE DEVICE, RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. THE PRODUCT DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY PARTS REPAIRABLE BY THE USER, CONTACT AN AUTHORIZED SERVICE.
  • If batteries are used:
  • Do not expose batteries to excessive temperatures,e.g. direct sunlight, fire etc. Risk of explosion and injury.
  • Replace batteries only with batteries of the same type and with correct polarity. Otherwise there is a risk the system may explode.
  • Check them regularly for leaks. There is a risk of skin burns and damage to the device.
  • The device is designed for normal indoor environments.
  • Do not use the device near water and in wet locations such as near a pool, bathtub, kitchen sink, in a damp cellar, laundry room and so on. The device must not be exposed to dripping or splashing water, do not place containers filled with liquids on the device.
  • Do not expose the device to heat sources such as radiators, heating or other heat-producing appliances such as amplifiers. Do not expose it to direct sunlight or open flame.
  • Do not cover the ventilation or other openings or insert any objects into them. There is a risk of injury or damage to the device.
  • Keep a minimum distance of 10 cm from other objects for proper ventilation.
  • When the product is moved from a cold to a warm environment, water condenses inside, which may cause the product to malfunction and be damaged. Therefore, in such a situation, leave the product in warm environment without using it for about an hour to allow the moisture to evaporate.
  • Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the responsible authority can lead to loss of authorization to use the device.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • WARNING: To prevent possible hearing damage, avoid prolonged listening at high volume. Excessive sound pressure from earphones can cause hearing damage.
  • DANGER for children: Children may not play with the packaging material. Do not let children play with the plastic bags. Risk of suffocation.
  • Do not immerse in water! – Do not immerse in water!

SETUP

  1. Connect the supplied USB-C cable to the USB Type-C input and a USB source (not supplied) or open the battery compartment cover.
  2. Insert 4 x AA batteries into the battery compartment. Observe the correct polarity of the batteries marked in the battery compartment.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover.
  4. Extend the telescopic antenna and adjust its orientation for optimal reception.

Notes:

  • If the device is not used for long periods, remove the batteries to prevent battery leakage.
  • Battery life: If the sound from the radio is weak or distorted, or when it is difficult to read display of the device, replace the batteries with new ones.
  • The device does not have built-in batteries. If a USB cable is used, the unit will turn off when the cable is disconnected. It is also not possible to charge batteries located in the battery compartment using the USB cable.

WARNING

  • If you buy an adapter for a USB cable, the recommended technical parameters are:
    • Input: 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, max. 0.3 A
    • Output: DC 5 V, 1 A, 5.0 W

POWER ON/OFF

  • Use the I / O button to turn on the device.
  • When turning off:
    • press briefly: the device stays in the “Standby” mode(the display shows time);
    • long press: the device turns off completely. (DC battery mode only)

SETTING TIME
The time / time setting information are only activated when connected to a 5 V, 1 A power supply. The clock functions are not available during battery operation.

  1. Press the power button to switch the radio to standby mode.
  2. Press the TIME SET button.
  3. Press the Tune + / Tune – button to select “CL”.
  4. Press the TIME SET button to confirm the action.
  5. Repeat steps 3–4 to set the hours and minutes.

USING THE ALARM CLOCK

  1. Press the power button to switch the radio to standby mode.
  2. Press the TIME SET button.
  3. Press the Tune + / Tune – button to select “AL”.
  4. Press the TIME SET button to confirm the action.
  5. Repeat steps 3–4 to set the following options:
  6. Set the alarm time.
  7. Set the alarm to signal (BUZ) or radio (rAd).
  8. The display shows the clock icon
  9. When the alarm rings, press the power button to stop the alarm.

SNOOZE FUNCTION
When the alarm clock is activated and rings, you can press the Snooze button to turn the alarm off. The clock symbol flashes on the display. If you did not turn off the alarm clock, it would be activated again in 9 minutes.

SLEEP FUNCTION
You can press the SLEEP button in the FM tuner mode to activate the automatic shutoff function. The radio shuts off after selected 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes according to your selection. To set the number of minutes, press the “sleep” button repeatedly. SLEEP message appears on the display. Select OFF to turn off the function.

FM TUNER

  1. Press power button to turn on the radio.
  2. Press Tune + or Tune – button to switch stations.
  3. Press and hold Tune + or Tune – button to search stations.
  4. Press the Scan button to automatically search for all available radio stations and save them in the presets’ memory.

SAVING AND LISTENING TO PRESET STATIONS

  1. Tune in the desired radio station.
  2. Press and hold the PRESET button for 2 seconds. “P01” and “MEM” appear on the display.
  3. Press Tune + / Tune – to select a preset number.
  4. Press PRESET to confirm the save.
  5. To listen to a preset station, press Preset repeatedly.
  6. Press the PRESET button and then the Tune + / Tune – button to scroll through the preset stations.

QUICK SAVING AND LISTENING TO PRESET STATIONS 1, 2, 3

  1. Press and hold P1, P2 or P3 to save the preset.
  2. To listen to preset station 1, 2 or 3, press P1, P2 or P3.

DISPLAY ILLUMINATION

  1. Press the power button to switch the radio to standby mode.
  2. Press the TIME SET button.
  3. Press Tune + or Tune – to select “LH”
  4. Press the TIME SET button to confirm the action.
  5. Repeat steps 3–4 to set the following options:
    Display backlight in HI mode, standard (Sd), LO.

MAINTENANCE

Cleaning the device
Make sure the device is completely switched off before cleaning. Clean the surface of the device with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia or abrasive ingredients. Do not use cleaning sprays on or near the device.
