Hands-Free Communication Guide for Oticon Hearing Aids

The hands-free communication guide provides instructions for using compatible Oticon hearing aids with an iPhone or iPad to make and receive phone calls without the need to hold the device. This feature allows the wearer’s voice to be captured by the hearing aid, while the caller’s voice is streamed directly into the hearing aids.

Compatible Oticon hearing aids for this feature include Oticon Real, Oticon More, Oticon Own with 2.4 GHz Bluetooth, Oticon Zircon, and Oticon Play PX on the Polaris R and Polaris platforms. A firmware update is required for Oticon More, Oticon Zircon, and Play PX to accept, reject, or end phone calls using a push button. To activate hands-free communication using compatible hearing aids, users need to pair their hearing aids with a compatible iPhone or iPad. The mic input can be changed by accessing the Control Center, and the hands- free communication feature can also be turned off from there.
