SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the enclosed safety warnings, the additional safety warnings and the instructions. Failure to follow the safety warnings and the instructions may result in electric shock, fi re and/or serious injury. Save the safety warnings and the instructions for future reference. Always include the operating instructions if you pass the device on to someone else.
The following symbols are used in the user manual or on the product:

  • Carefully read the instructions before you use the trolley jack!
  • Denotes risk of personal injury, loss of life or damage to the machine in case of non-observance of the instructions in this manual.
  • Indication of the maximum load capacity.
  • Make sure the oil level is correct

GENERAL SAFETY WA RNINGS

The truck shall be used, serviced and repaired according to the instructions of the manufacturer and shall not be modifi ed or have attachments fi tted without ensuring that the truck is still safe.

  • Keep children and bystanders away while operating tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

  • Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use com-mon sense when operating tool.

  • Do not use a tool while you are tired or under the infl uence of drugs, alcohol or medication.

  • A moment of inattention while operating tools may result in serious personal injury.

  • Never leave children unsupervised with packing materials. There is a risk of suffocation.

  • Maintain tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the tool’s operation.

  • If damaged, have the tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
    Pay attention to the stability of the product before use. Use the product properly and only in the intended area of application.
    SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS SPECIFIC FOR TROLLEY JACK
    Non-observance of the following instructions can cause personal injuries and/or damage to the vehicle.

  • P lace the saddle of the jack only in the spot de-signed for this purpose. For the relevant jacking points please refer to your car instructions. T he maximum load indicated on the jack must never be exceeded.

  • The jack must be used as a lifting device only.

  • A lways place the jack on a hard and level surface.

  • A lways protect the car from rolling away. Before jacking up the car, place chocks behind and in front of the wheels remaining on the ground, if necessary. Put the car in fi rst gear or put on the handbrake to further block the car.
    Make sure to place the jack in such a way that your hand is not underneath the car when jack-ing it up.

  • Make sure the jack is horizontal.

  • For your own safety, before working or crawling underneath the car jack up the car and support the shafts.

  • Before using the shaft supports make sure they are in good condition.
    • Always check that the lifting jack works correctly before you use it and, in particular, look for any leaking hydraulic oil and also check the tight-ness of all screws and valves. Any oil that has leaked must be thoroughly cleaned up. Any oil that has leaked must be thoroughly cleaned up.

  • Always dispose of hydraulic oil in an environmentally-friendly way. Arrange for a specialist repair workshop to carry out the disposal or contact the nearest hazardous substance col-lection point.

  • If the force needed is higher than 400N, then an additional person will be needed for operating the device.

  • If the lifting jack can no longer be lowered as intended, it is essential that you use support stands to secure the vehicle against unintenti-onal lowering. Get another lifting jack to lift the vehicle so that the defective lifting jack can be safely removed. Call in professional help if you are unsure.

  • It is imperative that the operator always has a clear view of the lifting jack and the load during all movements.

  • Never work underneath a raised load unless it has been secured in place using suitable means.

  • E nsure that the information markings on the lifting jack are kept in a good condition.

  • Never use the lifting jack under the following circumstances:

    •  in diffi cult conditions (e.g. very cold or hot climates, if affected by strong magnetic radiation) or similar situations
    • in conjunction with explosive materials, mines, etc., or similar situations
    • with supplies from electrical networks who-se voltage, frequency, etc., tolerances differ from those of the public supply
    • to lift loads containing molten metal, acid, radioactive material or loose goods, etc., that are not fi rmly attached to each other or in similar situations.

Intended use
The Trolley Jack is intended for the short term lifting of motor vehicles and only for domestic use, taking the maximum lifting capacity into account. This trolley jack is not designed for lifting people, to permanently hold a vehicle in a raised position and is not intended for use in commercial or industrial areas.

OPERATION

Lifting
Turn the screw of the relief valve clockwise as far as possible. The trolley jack is now ready to lift. Assembly the lever like shown in fi gure A. Put the trolley jack horizontally on a fl at surface, put the lever in the proper hole and start pumping by moving the lever up and down.

Shaft supports
After jacking up the car the shaft supports should be installed. Lower the car by turning the the screw of the release valve anticlockwise, until the car rests on the supports. Never work under a car which only rests on the trolley jack.

Lowering
After the work is fi nished, the car is lifted again until the shaft supports are clear. Remove the shaft supports. Turn the screw of the relief valve anti- clockwise and the car will be lowered. The further the screw is turned anticlockwise the faster the car will be lowered.

MAINTENANCE

Regular maintenance of your trolley jack prevents problems!

  • The lifting jack must be maintained and re-paired in compliance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Any such maintenance or repairs must be carried out by specialists.
  • Once a month the wheels, shafts and piston rods should be lubricated with lubricating oil and grease on the pivots of the lifting rods.
  • The tank containing hydraulic oil is a closed tank which usually does not require mainte-nance. When frequently used, but at least on ce a year, the oil should be changed. For this purpose the top of the tank is fi tted with an oil drain plug.
    Only 15# hydraulic oil should be used for refi lling. Do not use engine or brake fl uid.

Troubleshooting

In case the trolley jack does not work well, we give you subjoined some possible causes and their solutions:

  1. 1. Trolley jack does not lift
    • S crew of the relief valve has not been turned clockwise.
    • Turn screw clockwise.
    • Not enough oil in trolley jack.
    •  Remove the rubber cap on the top of the storage tank and fi ll with oil.
    • Defective or dirty valve.
    • V alive must be cleaned or replaced by customer service specialists.
    • Worn gaskets.
    • G askets must be replaced by customer service specialists.
    • Air in the hydraulic system.
    • Open the relief valve by turning the screw to the left and pull the lever upwards, by hand. Then lower it again. The air will now disap-pear. If necessary, repeat this operation.
  2. Jack only lifts as far as half the maximum height
    • Not enough oil in the tank.
    • Refi ll oil.
  3.  The trolley jack comes down after lifting
    • Defective or dirty valve.
    • V alve must be cleaned or replaced by customer service specialists.
    • Defective piston packing.
    • Packing must be replaced by customer service specialists.
  4. 4. Trolley jack does not rise fast enough
    • Defective plunger packing.
    • Packing must be replaced by customer service specialists.
    • Defective or dirty valve.
    • Valve must be cleaned or replaced by customer service specialists.

Faults
Should a fault occur, e.g. after wear of a part, please contact the service address on the warranty card. In the back of this manual you fi nd an explo-ded view showing the parts that can be ordered.

ENVIRONMENT

To prevent damage during transport, the appliance is delivered in a solid packaging which consists largely of reusable material. Therefore please make use of options for recycling the packaging.

Disposal
At the end of the machine’s working life, or when it can no longer be repaired, ensure that it is disposed of according to national regulations. Contact your local authority for details of collection schemes in your area.

In all circumstances:

  • Do not dispose of tools with domestic waste.
  • Do not incinerate.
  • Do not abandon in the environment.
  • Remove oil from the jack so it can be recycled.

WARRANTY

VONROC products are developed to the highest quality standards and are guaranteed free of defects in both materials and workmanship for the period lawfully stipulated starting from the date of original purchase. Should the product develop any failure du-ring this period due to defective material and/or work-manship then contact VONROC directly. The following circumstances are excluded from this guarantee:

  • R repairs and or alterations have been made or attempted to the machine by unauthorized service centers;
  • Normal wear and tear;
  • T he tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained;
  • Non-original spare parts have been used.

This constitutes the sole warranty made by compa-ny either expressed or implied. There are no other warranties expressed or implied which extend beyond the face hereof, herein, including the im-plied warranties of merchantability and fi tness for a particular purpose. In no event shall VONROC be liable for any incidental or consequential damages. The dealers remedies shall be limited to repair or replacement of nonconforming units or parts.
