The Dinan Engineering Team has spent many hours developing this product to assure that you will receive maximum benefits for a more aggressive sounding  system, increased performance, durability and an aestheticdesign that you as a customer will be able to enjoy for many years. Ease of installation and maintenance is important to us and has been highly considered throughout the design process.

Prior to performing the installation, familiarize yourself with these instructions as it should help you with the process. If you feel that you do not have the required skills or tools, please arrange for a qualified repair facility to perform the installation.

REMOVAL OF STOCK SYSTEM

STEP 1:
Remove mid-section brace.
REMOVAL OF STOCK SYSTEM

STEP 2:
There are 2 cut locations. Steps 2-4 show the cut location to separate the rear muffler section from the middle silencer section.
The rear muffler silencer will remain on the vehicle.
Removal of the entire system may also help when cutting

STEP 3:
Locate the cut point. There are dimples marked at 3 separate locations on each tube. These can be seen just aft of the most rear silencer
You will be cutting at the CENTER punch mark as shown.
Protect the rear silencer from falling.

STEP 4:
Cut through exhaust pipes at the marked point with a suitable tool
Ensure the cuts are perpendicular to the pipes

STEP 5:
The second cut location is just aft of the secondary cats. This requires a measurement prior to cutting.
Measure twice, cut once.

STEP 6:
On the driver side, measure 2 5/8” from the rear side of weld as shown.
This measurement is offset towards the rear of the vehicle.

STEP 7:
On the passenger side of the vehicle, measure 4.5” from the rear hanger weldment as shown. This measurement is offset towards the rear of the vehicle.
Once both pipes are properly marked, cut perpendicular to tube.

STEP 8:
Un-bolt hanger on passenger side and remove the cut section.

DINAN X-PIPE INSTALLATION

STEP 1:
Transfer hanger to Dinan system.
DINAN X-PIPE INSTALLATION

STEP 2:
Using the single wide clamps, slide onto stock tubes.
Slide the Dinan X-pipe system onto to stock system at the cut-point

STEP 3:
Re-attach the hanger to the vehicle and align x-pipe in cavity.

STEP 4:
Ensure that there is a gap between the pipe and hanger. This gap may be small but there must be one.
Snug fit the clamps. Do not fully tighten at this time as small adjustment may be needed

STEP 5:
Slide the double clamps onto the tubes at the rear of the system.

STEP 6:
Position the double wide clamps half on the rear muffler section and half on the X-pipe section in orientation shown.

STEP 7:
Ensure all hangers are angled towards the front of the vehicle throughout the exhaust system.

STEP 8:
Check hanger angles, clearances and tip location.
Once the positioning is to your liking:

  1. Tighten all clamps
  2. Re-Install brace.
  3. Enjoy!
