EMERGENCY DRIVER SERIES
The EMERGENCY DRIVER SERIES is a power supply unit that provides emergency power output source for lighting fixtures. This driver has more than one power supply output source, and it comes with a sealed, no-maintenance battery that is not field replaceable. The installation of this driver should be performed by qualified electricians or lighting technicians only.
Warnings
- Disconnect power at source prior to installation to avoid electric shock.
- Do not attempt to service the battery.
- Do not mount near gas or electric heaters.
- Do not let power supply cords touch hot surfaces.
- Do not make or leave any other open holes in the wiring enc losure or electrical component enclosure during installation.
Product Usage Instructions
Before starting the installation process, ensure that you have disconnected the power source. The installation process should be performed by a qualified electrician or lighting technician. Follow the below steps to install the EMERGENCY DRIVER SERIES:
Product Standard Installation
- Connect the Driver-N wire with Neutral wire.
- Connect the Driver-L wire with Live wire.
- Connect the Test Button wire with the switch button or emergency switch button.
- Connect the EMG BOX output wire with the LED panel or lighting fixture.
- Connect the DIMMING WIRE with the dimmer/ sensor.
- Ensure that there are no open holes in the wiring enclosure or electrical component enclosure.
DC Dimmer Installation
- Connect the Driver-N wire with Neutral wire.
- Connect the Driver-L wire with Live wire.
- Connect the Test Button wire with the switch button or emergency switch button.
- Connect the EMG BOX output wire with the LED panel or lighting fixture.
- Connect the DIM+ (Dimmer/ Sensor) wire with the “+” wire of the dimmer/ sensor.
- Connect the DIM+ (Driver) wire with the “+” wire of the LED panel or lighting fixture.
- Connect the DIM- wire with the “-” wire of the dimmer/ sensor and “-” wire of the LED panel or lighting fixture.
- Ensure that there are no open holes in the wiring enclosure or electrical component enclosure.
AC Dimmer Installation:
- Connect the Driver-N wire with Neutral wire.
- Connect the Driver-L wire with Live wire.
- Connect the Test Button wire with the switch button or emergency switch button.
- Connect the EMG BOX output wire with the LED panel or lighting fixture.
- Connect the AC Dimmer in series with Live wire.
- Ensure that there are no open holes in the wiring enclosure or electrical component enclosure.
After the installation process is complete, test the system by pressing the Test Button. If it works correctly, then it is ready for use.
WARNING
- This emergency driver provides more than one power supply output source. To avoid electric shock, disconnect power at source prior to installation.
- The installation should be performed by qualified electricians or lighting technicians.
- Do not attempt to service the battery. A sealed, no-maintenance battery is used and is not field replaceable. Replace the entire unit when necessary.
- The emergency driver requires a constant AC power source of 100–347VAC, 50/60Hz.
- Battery pack should be charged for 24 hours every 6 months during storage.
- Battery in this unit may not be fully charged. After electricity is connected to the unit for at least 24 hours before normal operation.
- Do not mount near gas or electric heaters. Do not let power supply cords touch hot surfaces.
