Installation, Operation and Servicing Instructions
NOTE: Please read this manual carefully before installing and using this appliance.
General Safety Instructions
The 2 and 3 burner gas hobs are designed in accordance to AS/NZS 5263 for the
purpose of cooking food in recreational vehicles i.e. caravans, camper
trailers, motorhomes etc. Any other use shall be considered improper.
The manufacturer does not assume any liability for damages or injuries due to
incorrect installation and/or improper use. Installation, commissioning and
service must be performed by a licensed gas fitter, service agency, OEM or the
gas supplier. Failure to do so will void the warranty.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
- Evacuate all persons from the caravan or RV.
- Shut off the gas supply at the gas tank or supply source.
- Open all doors and windows. DO NOT touch any electrical switch or use any phone or radio in the vehicle.
- DO NOT start the vehicle’s engine or electric generator.
- DO NOT turn on the gas supply until the gas leak(s) has been repaired.
- Contact the nearest gas supplier or qualified service technician for repairs.
- If you cannot reach a gas supplier or qualified service technician, contact the nearest fire station or emergency services.
Safety Warnings
WARNING: DO NOT spray aerosols in the vicinity of this appliance while it
is in operation.
WARNING: DO NOT use or store flammable material in or near this
appliance.
WARNING: DO NOT use this appliance as a space heater.
WARNING: DO NOT place articles on or against this appliance.
CAUTION: The glass lid is not a cooking surface. Glass lid must be fully
raised when burners are switched on.
WARNING: DO NOT modify this appliance.
WARNING: DO NOT attempt to use this appliance with or convert to use with
another type of gas. This appliance is designed to be operated on U-LPG only.
CAUTION: All additions or alterations to the LP Gas system must be
performed by an authorized person (consult your LP Gas supplier).
**WARNING: DO NOT operate appliance when travelling, refueling or in a
confined space.
WARNING: Remove all transit protection prior to usage
WARNING: DO NOT obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air. All
gas burning appliances consume air (oxygen).
****WARNING: DO NOT use this appliance in unventilated structures. Make
sure there is an open window or designated ventilation opening to provide air
supply.
CAUTION: Ensure valve is closed and fit gastight sealing plug to all
spare cylinders not connected, whether full or empty.
WARNING: DO NOT check for gas leaks with an open flame
WARNING: In the event of fire, immediately close cylinder valve, if safe
to do so.
CAUTION: Combustible gas or carbon monoxide detection systems should be
maintained to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
****WARNING: In freezing conditions the pressure of propane gas can be
reduced in the cylinder tank causing a lack of gas pressure. This may affect
the way the appliance operates.
****WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety.
WARNING: Children should not be permitted to operate this appliance
without close adult supervision.
CAUTION: Keep appliance clean and properly adjusted. Schedule for yearly
inspection and servicing by an authorized person.
WARNING:** If the appliance is to be left unused for any length of time, it
is recommended that the gas supply be turned off at the cylinder or main
supply valve feeding the appliance.
Installation
All installations must be carried out by authorized trades persons only in
accordance with these instructions, relevant Federal and State Regulations,
and with the current requirements of AS 5601.2 “Gas Installations”, published
by Standards Australia. For information regarding inputs and gas pressures,
refer to the Data Plate attached to the appliance.
WARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE INSTALLED BY AUTHORISED PERSONS.
This appliance is designed to operate on Universal LPG ONLY and corresponding
supply pressure. The gas that the appliance has been adjusted is clearly
indicated on the packaging and on the data plate attached to the back of the
appliance. Check this data before connecting the appliance to the gas
cylinder. The pressure regulator to be used between the cylinder and the
appliance must comply with the categories indicated in the table below.

CAUTION: In order to avoid possible accidents, it is essential for the
appliance to be installed according to the instructions contained in this
manual.
WARNING: MODIFICATION OF THIS APPLIANCE AND INCORRECT INSTALLATION IS
DANGEROUS AND WILL VOID ALL WARRANTY. DO NOT MODIFY THIS APPLIANCE.
This appliance is not connected to a flue terminal, which discharges the
product of combustion to the outside. Any enclosed space in which the
appliance is installed must therefore be provided with permanent ventilation
in accordance to AS 5601.2 and any regulations in force with attention being
paid to the matter of room ventilation.
CAUTION: Before installation, check that the local distribution
conditions (gas type and pressure) and the settings of the appliance are
compatible.
- The gas connection systems and the installation rooms must be suitable and meet safety standards.
- Make sure the power is disconnected to avoid risk of installer being electrocuted.
- Make sure the appliance is installed in an environment with high ventilation rate.
- The appliance should be kept away from flammable materials.
Installation Location
- This appliance is not allowed to be installed outdoors or directly exposed to flammable materials.
- The installation rooms must have a continuous air exchange to guarantee normal and correct gas combustion.
- This appliance should be built into place which is suitable for kitchen unit.
- Minimum distances to surrounding surfaces
**Note: * May be less than 200mm where protected in accordance with
AS/NZS5601.2
For 3 Burner model, min. 520mm from top of cooking vessel support to
rangehood.

After installation, the top of the cooking vessel support will be located 15mm below the bench top surface.

The installer MUST test the operation of the appliance after installation to ensure satisfactory operation.

Built-in Cut Out Dimensions The cabinet must be mounted on a support structure, and the material should be heat-resistant. The cabinet built-in hole must be parallel and suitable for installation.

The underside of this stove can become very hot during use.

When this stove is installed in a location where the underside is easily accessible, the installation must include a barrier 30mm below the lowest point of the stove to prevent accidental touch access.

The data label is not usually visible after installation, so this hotplate has been supplied with a duplicate data label. The installer must attach the duplicate data label to an adjacent surface, or the inside surface of a nearby cupboard, where it can be easily referenced by the consumer after installation.

Refer to the cut-out dimensions below for the respective gas hob model.

Fasten the gas hob to the cabinet with the fixing screws provided.
Gas Connection
The gas supply pipework must be installed in accordance with AS/NZS 5601.2.
The gas pipework must not be subject to twisting, pulling or other stresses.
The gas supply connection point shall be accessible with the appliance
installed. Where the gas connection point is not easily accessible for regular
inspection, rigid pipe must be used.

Flexible hose connection can be used with the following conditions:
- The hose must be accessible for inspection, it cannot be hidden within a wall or located in an inaccessible cavity.
- The hose must be protected from abrasive contact with moving parts.
- The hose length must comply with the Australian Standards.
- The hose must not be subjected to any type of mechanical stress such as twisting or crushing.
Electrical Connection – LOW VOLTAGE DC12V
To connect this appliance, use a double cable and connect to the terminal
board. The red terminal is the positive pole, while the black terminal is the
negative pole.
Electrical terminal location: At the rear underside of the hob, located
centrally.
WARNING: DO NOT connect this appliance to any power supply other than
DC12V.
WARNING: DO NOT connect this appliance to the main voltage (230 V~); this
would result in the ultimate destruction of the parts and a hazard to the
user.

Test Point
The test point is supplied with the gas hob. The test point is fitted to the
smallest burner, and the largest burner operating on high flame. The pressure
measures with an inlet pressure of 2.75kPa.
Operating Use
Electronic ignition
To start the ignition, fully press the electronic ignition switch and control
knob at the same time, then gradually turn the control knob from position 3 to
2. Once the burner has ignited, continue to hold the knob for 5 to 10 seconds
before release.
CAUTION: Before ignition, please make sure there is no cookware
or other object on the burners.
WARNING: The glass lid cover may break, if heated. Ignition of any of the
burners must always be done with the glass lid raised, and always turn off all
the burners and leave them to cool down before closing the lid.
In case of glass lid cover breakage:
- Shut off all burners immediately and any electrical heating element
- Isolate the appliance from the power supply
- DO NOT touch the appliance surface
- DO NOT use the appliance
Burner Selection
The flame must not spread over the edges of the cookware. Place the cookware
centrally on the burner, so that it is stable on the pan support.

The accessible parts may be hot during and immediately after use; do not touch and keep children away. After cooking, return the knob(s) to the closed position(s). After use, close the supply gas valve.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning is required after use.
- For stainless steel surfaces and enameled parts: Use clean sponges or cloths, wash with soap and water or mild detergent, rinse and dry.
- For glass lid cover: Use a soft cloth slightly wet with neutral detergent, rinse and dry.
- Hot surfaces could be damaged when in contact with cold water or a wet cloth. Do not use abrasive, corrosive, chlorine-based products, scourers or steel wool.
- Do not remove the control knobs, unless necessary.
CAUTION: Before cleaning, make sure the burners are off, and wait for the appliance to cool down completely.
Servicing
Annual servicing and inspection must be conducted by authorised persons.
Ensure that the gas and electrical supplies are disconnected prior to any
servicing work. Test this appliance after completion of any servicing work.
