PRODUCT SAFETY  GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS

WARNING Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.

– This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
– The appliance is only to be used with the power supply unit provided with the appliance.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY WARNINGS

  1. The liquid must not be directed towards equipment containing electrical components.
  2. Remove or disconnect the battery pack after use and before carrying out user maintenance on the appliance.
  3. The appliance shall not be left unattended while it is connected to the battery pack.
  4. The appliance is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
  5. Keep the appliance out of reach of children when it is energized.

SAFETY WARNINGS FOR BATTERY PACK
a) Do not dismantle, open or shred cells or battery pack.
b) Do not short-circuit a battery pack. Do not store battery packs haphazardly in a box or drawer where they may short-circuit each other or be short- circuited by conductive materials.
When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
c) Do not expose the battery pack to heat or fire. Avoid storage in direct sunlight.
d) Do not subject the battery pack to mechanical shock.
e) In the event of battery leaking, do not allow the liquid to come into contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.
f) Keep the battery pack clean and dry.
g) Wipe the battery pack terminals with a clean dry cloth if they become dirty.
h) Battery pack needs to be charged before use. Always refer to this instruction and use the correct charging procedure.
i) Do not maintain the battery pack on charge when not in use.
j) After extended periods of storage, it may be necessary to charge and discharge the battery pack several times to obtain maximum performance.
k) Recharge only with the charger specified by Worx. Do not use any charger other than that specifically provided for use with the equipment.
l) Do not use any battery pack which is not designed for use with the equipment.
m)Keep the battery pack out of the reach of children.
n) Retain the original product literature for future reference.
o) Remove the battery from the equipment when not in use.
p) Dispose of it properly.
q) Do not mix cells of different manufacture, capacity, size, or type within a device.
r) Keep the battery away from microwaves and high pressure.

Filling the bottle/tank
When adding spray solutions, you may add water and the desired chemical solution directly into the tank, or use a solution that has been premixed in a separate container, then poured into the sprayer, using a funnel if needed.
NOTE:   If you use solid or powder chemicals, mix them with water completely to avoid
clogging the spray nozzle.
WARNING: Do not overfill the tank. Chemicals used must be as thin as water. Thicker chemicals will not spray properly.
WARNING: Before filling the tank, always remove the battery pack. Wipe up any spills before inserting the battery pack.

OPERATION
WARNING: The supplied battery is not waterproof. To avoid the risk of battery failure, protect the battery from water exposure during use. Store the tool and battery in a dry place after use.|
Starting
Press the lock-off button, then pull the trigger to begin operation. (See Fig. I1)
NOTE: At the first use or after long-term storage, remove the spray nozzle and short lance kit or extension lance first. It is recommended to pour water directly into the hose adapter with the machine turned on to empty the air. Ensure water sprays out of the nozzle before working.| See Fig.

OPERATING TIPS

Before usage, follow these tips carefully. Failure to do so will cause serious personal damage. Follow directions on containers of all such products. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals, wear approved safety equipment such as face masks that are specially designed to filter out sprays, gloves, and other protective equipment. Before using any sanitizer or other spray materials in this sprayer, read the label on its original container thoroughly and follow its directions. Some spray materials are dangerous and should not be used in this sprayer, as they can damage the sprayer and cause serious bodily injury or property damage.

  1. WARNING: Do not use self-heating liquids, alcohol-based chemicals, hydrogen peroxide, strong caustic chemicals or strong acids in the sprayer.
  2. Do not combine chemicals.
  3. The spray area must be well-ventilated.
  4. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or explosion, never use a liquid with a flash point less than 55°C. Know the contents of the chemical being sprayed. Read all product labels provided with the chemical and follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions.
  5. CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not touch the nozzle during use.
  6. WARNING: Never point the spray end at yourself or others. Keep all body parts out of the spray pattern.
  7. Never point the sprayer in the direction of people or animals. Always spray in a downwind direction.
  8. CAUTION: Avoid spraying on windy days. Mist can be accidentally blown onto plants or objects that should not be sprayed.
  9. Use a sprayer in the early morning or late afternoon, especially in warmer weather. Excessive heat may evaporate the mist before it settles.
  10. WARNING: Never smoke, eat, or drink while operating the sprayer.
  11. Do not leave residue in the tank after usage. Clean after each use.
  12. Before working, wait for about 10 seconds after turning on.
  13. DANGER: Risk of fire or explosion. The spray area must be well-ventilated and away from sparks or flames. Do not spray flammable liquids such as gasoline. Look for this symbol reference on the container.
  14. WARNING: Improper application of cleaning solution can result in severe injury or death. Please follow the chemical manufacturer’s safety instructions and guidelines.
  15. WARNING: Electric Shock Hazard. Never spray toward electrical outlets, wires, lights or electrical boxes.
  16. WARNING: Chemicals and chemical spray can be hazardous and cause serious injury, permanent damage, or death if ingested, inhaled, or splashed in the eyes or on the skin. Follow chemical manufacturer’s safety instructions at all times.
  17. WARNING: If the sprayer has been used for certain chemicals, such as insecticides or herbicides, it should not later be used for any other chemicals such as cleaning or disinfecting solutions.

MAINTENANCE

Remove the battery pack from the tool before carrying out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance.
Inspect the product for damaged or worn parts before each use. Do not operate it if you find damaged or worn parts. Contact your supplier or the manufacturer for replacement parts.
Filter screen maintenance
Remove the adapter to get the filter screen. (See Fig. L1, L2) Rinse it with clean water before reassembling.
NOTE: When retightening the adapter, please tighten it securely. Otherwise, it may not draw any water for proper operation.
WARNING: Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.

CLEANING/STORAGE

Before using the sprayer for other chemicals, clean the sprayer thoroughly and obtain a new spray bottle and nozzle assembly. Clean thoroughly after each use. Run clean water through the sprayer to clear spray residue from the body of the sprayer. Do not store chemicals in the tank. Always store and dispose of chemicals properly. Before storage, completely drain all the water from the machine and hose. Never use flammable chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the tank. Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Clean the molded plastic housing of the machine using a soft brush and clean cloth. Do not use water, solvents, or polishes. Store in a secure and dry place out of the reach of children. Do not place other objects on the product. Allow all pieces to completely dry before reinstalling parts and storing the unit. Store the machine and the accessories in a frost-free place. Store the sprayer in an upright position.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Symptom Possible causes Solution

The machine turns on but it does not draw any water or there is not sufficient pressure.| The water inlet is loose.| Retighten the water inlet.
The filter screen is missing. (See Fig. Ll, L2)| Contact Worx service agent to get a filter screen.
The machine does not start.| The battery pack is not attached well.| Reinstall the battery pack.
The battery pack is empty.| Replace with a new battery pack or recharge the battery pack.

The machine stops automatically.| The battery pack is empty.| Replace with a new battery pack or recharge the battery pack.
The machine does not draw any water after a long time of storage.| Additional air could be sucked into the machine.| It is recommended to pour water directly into the hose adapter with the machine turned on to empty the air. Ensure water sprays out of the nozzle before working.
The machine sprays improperly.| The nozzle is clogged, the hose is partially disconnected, or the fluid in the tank is low.| Clean the filter. Check hose connections and make sure there is sufficient fluid in the tank.
The machine is “spitting”.| The liquid in the tank is too thick to spray out.| Empty the tank, clean both the tank and filter, then try again. Make sure that all liquids used in the sprayer are as thin as water.
Spraying performance is weak| The filter needs to be cleaned. The solution is too thick.| Clean the filter.
Make sure that all liquids used in the sprayer are as thin as water.
The machine runs for a short period then shuts off.| The battery needs charging. The solution is too thick.| Recharge the battery.
