Piece Snap Kit
Fig: 1 – The Snap Cap post goes through a hole in the canvas, and the
Snap Socket slips over the Snap Cap’s post. The Plier Setting Tool is then
used to compress the post to hold the two pieces in place. Once assembled
these will snap onto a male Snap that is mounted either on the boat directly
or on another section of canvas.

Stud slips over the Snap Post. The Plier Setting Tool is then used to flare
the post to hold the two pieces in place. Once assembled these will snap onto
a female Snap Socket mounted to another section of the canvas.
The pliers have a spring-loaded white anvil base that rotates into position depending on which parts are being connected. The concave section of the base is for the Snap Button and the flat section of the base is for the Snap Socket Back. A spare white anvil base with a spring & snap ring is included in the kit (Not shown). The black die is opposite of the white anvil base that holds the Snap Socket or the Snap Stud. When you slip them over the post of the part you are connecting to the die aligns them to the Snap Cap or Snap Post Back. When the pliers are compressed it joins the two parts together.
