RECEIVER INSTALLATION IN MODEL:
In electric powered models, thick, double-sided foam tape can be used to fasten the receiver in place. For gas/glow powered models (high vibration situations), it’s best to wrap the receiver in protective foam and fasten it in place using rubber bands or hook and loop straps.
BINDING PROCEDURE:
- Install a bind plug into the port labeled “BATT/BIND”.
- Apply power to the receiver. It can be from 3.5 to 9 volts DC. This can be done via any port other than the BATT/BIND port since the bind plug will need to be installed there. Please refer to side of the receiver case for the S symbol (referring to SIGNAL) for the correct plug orientation.
- After applying power with the bind plug installed, you will see the LED blinking rapidly. That means the receiver is now in BIND mode.
- Follow the procedures for your specific transmitter to enter BIND mode. Be sure that all your transmitter sticks and switches are in their neutral** positions, and that your throttle stick is at its lowest position. The system will connect within a few seconds. Once connected, the LED on the receiver will blink several times, then go solid, indicating the system has been successfully bound. If the binding is unsuccessful (LED continues blinking), disconnect the power and repeat the procedure again.
- Remove the bind plug from the BIND port on the receiver before you power off the transmitter.
SMART FAILSAFE MODE:
The R615X features an advanced failsafe mode. If signal loss occurs for a short time only (less than 2 seconds) all channels will hold their last command. If the signal loss occurs for more than 2 seconds, all channels will go to their neutral** positions.
Neutral positions are determined during the binding procedure, so it’s very important to leave your sticks and switches in their neutral (centered or OFF) positions and your throttle stick is at its lowest position during the binding procedure. Advanced users may wish to set the neutral positions to a specific angle or to have retracts deployed etc., please do so at your own risk.
