Description
The Potter FMT Facility Management Tool is a software package designed to
provide service companies, property/facility managers and building owners, the
tools and information to more effectively manage up to 255 Potter series fire
alarm system installations at a single location.
Systems may be connected through a Local Area Network, Wide Area Network, or
the Internet to any PC running the FMT software.
As events in any connected system occur, they are color coded by event type
and can be displayed on screen- Red for Alarm, Green for Restores, Yellow for
Trouble and Supervisory.
Each event includes the following information:
- Panel Name (Custom name programmed into each system to help more quickly identify it)
- Date/Time (The date and time stamp when the event occurred)
- Event Description (Additional details about the event including circuit, point and zone names)
- Event Type (Alarm, Trouble, Supervisory, Restore, Info)
The event information can be sorted, filtered, grouped by any of the event
categories listed above and then saved to disk, printed, or exported to
Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word.
Additionally the user of the FMT Software can choose to remotely interact with
any of the connected systems through a virtual keypad providing the ability to
view live system status and events as well as scroll through the systems event
buffer just as if they were onsite at the panel.
Custom log files can be created and organized by system or other criteria to
meet the needs of the FMT software user.
These log files are helpful in organizing system tests and inspections as well
as assisting with troubleshooting.
The FMT software is also helpful in providing supplementary information to
that of a central monitoring station.
If an alarm or other event occurs, the FMT can be easily used to obtain more
detailed information from the system that the event has occurred on.
The FMT software can be online and logging events concurrently with any
central station reporting service or the user can connect to any system as
needed and view the event information using the virtual keypad.
