REALPOWER 415098 EM-1 Digital Energy Cost Meter
Introduction
Thank you for choosing a Real Power product. Please read these instructions for use and the safety instructions carefully and conscientiously before use. Control your electricity consumption and reduce your energy costs with Real Power’s EM-1 energy meter. By measuring and calculating the energy consumption and costs of your connected devices, you effectively save electricity and money.
Installation
Plug the EM-1 into a power outlet and connect the device to be measured. As soon as the device has been connected, the measuring device automatically displays the current voltage.
By pressing the MODE button, the display changes and shows the data of voltage (VJ, power (W), consumption (kWh) and price(€).
Setting the electricity price
Press the MODE button several times until the€ sign appears in the display to
select the electricity price. By pressing the SET button your price per kWh
can be adjusted – the LCD display should now be flashing.
Pressing the MODE button allows you to select the digit to be set, pressing
SET can be used to adjust it.
After you have set your electricity price per kWh, do not make any further
entries for about 10 seconds and the entry mode ends automatically. The EM-1
saves the current consumption and costs even when it is unplugged.
By pressing the R (Reset) button while running, using a paper clip, power
consumption and costs can be reset.
Factory reset
If the Display is froze nor the buttons do not respond, the EM-1 must be reset manually while running.
To do this, simply press the R button on the front of the EM-1.
Intended Use
This measuring device is intended exclusively for measuring currents and voltages at sockets. Any other use or use that goes beyond this is considered improper use and can lead to damage and injuries. Claims of any kind due to damage from improper use are excluded.
Safety instructions:
- Do not apply force to the meter.
- Do not bypass the power supply.
- Do not bend any contacts or the pins of the plug.
- If you hear unusual noises, smoke or smells, immediately disconnect from the power supply.
- Do not disassemble the meter, this may cause fire or electric shock.
- Make sure the product is firmly connected.
- Do not use damaged cables.
- Only clean the product with a dry microfiber cloth.
- Keep the power plug and socket clean, dirt can cause short circuits and fire.
- Keep the product out of the reach of children.
