ENHANCE-ION™ is installed as part of the air system to improve indoor air quality. Bipolarionization has been used for decades to charge and agglomerate airborne particles which allows them to be more easily captured by HVAC filter media. ENHANCE-ION enhances the ability of the HVAC filter to capture airborne contaminants and pollutants.

WARNING
TURN OFF AIR SYSTEM BEFORE INSTALLATION & SERVICING
A Installation Inside Air System
Mount to an internal wall or flat surface with the label side of the unit facing into the air flow. Use magnets on unit to assist in location process. Secure with two self-tapping screws(included in kit bag).
B Metal Duct Installation
Mount device near center of flat surface away from corners with the label side of the unit facing into the air flow. Secure with two self-tapping screws (included in kit bag).
Run power cable inside ductwork, or outside by drilling hole near mounting location and securing power cable to outside of ductwork.
C Fiberglass Duct Installation
Mount unit from outside ductwork. Secure device with foil tape and/or mastic.

Installation
- Disconnect air handler power before installing and servicing.
- Mount device in one of the configurations mentioned above. Secure device with self-tapping screws supplied in kit bag. Always mount on flat surface.
- Wire device to 24VAC transformer. The Black wire is for ground (GND). The Red wire is for 24VAC. Extend wires as needed. Be sure to follow all local and national electrical codes during installation. Double check all connections.
- After reconnecting power to the air handler, the green LED indictor atop of the unit should be glowing. This confirms the device is receiving power and is working.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Verify the emitters once a year and clean as necessary (see below). This device has been designed to prevent fowling of the emitters but environmental conditions may require them to be cleaned periodically to ensure best operation:
To Clean:
- Disconnect air handler power
- Using an air duster or brush, gently remove any dust attached to the emitters.
- Reconnect air handler power
IMPORTANT! Must be wired to constant power – do not connect to blower relay.
Connect to load side of 24 VAC transformer
