- Before doing any work, press the trigger to operate the blade blank for several times and listen for any unusual noise or observe if the blade runs unusually slow or fast. If everything appears to be running properly, start working.
- In order to adjust the size of the blade opening: Press the trigger and when you hear a ”beep”, release the trigger immediately and the blade opening size will automatically be adjusted.
- To switch off, press the trigger and release it after you hear the sound of three drops. The blade will close automatically.
Notes
- When using the tool continuously for a long time, there is a possibility of overheating. Make sure that you use the tool correctly.
- After completing any seasonal pruning work or when replacing the blade, you should remove the blade and add lubricating oil between the blade for maintenance.
Battery charging
The battery of the new product is not fully charged. To charge it, insert the
battery into the charger and plug the charger into a power outlet. The
charger’s indicator light turns red, which shows that the battery is charging.
When the charger indicator light turns green, the battery is fully charged and
you can then use it.
Precautions
- While charging, it is normal for the charger and/or battery to heat up slightly.
- If the batteries are not used for a long time, they should be recharged every 3 months for a longer lifespan.
- New batteries or batteries that have not been used for a long time require 5 times longer charging time to reach maximum capacity.
- Do not charge batteries repeatedly after a few minutes of operation, as this can reduce battery life and efficiency
- Do not use damaged batteries and do not disassemble the charger or batteries.
- Batteries contain flammable materials, keep away from flame/heat. (Risk of explosion!)
- Do not charge batteries outdoors or in a humid environment.
- With the gradual reduction of the battery load, it is normal for the maximum cutting diameter to decrease.
- Do not use the electric pruning shears while charging.
Blade oiling
**** Disconnect the power to the scissors before such a task
Re-apply lubricant before using the blades or after using them for more than 4
hours.
- Keep the blades open and add 1-2 drops of lubricant to the connection between the moving and fixed blade (as shown in the picture)
- Open and close the blade several times to evenly distribute the lubricant.
Blade tension adjustment
**** Disconnect the power to the scissors before such a task
Keep the blades open and check for lateral swings. Lateral swing is an
abnormal condition, which creates a gap between the two blades, leading to the
gear teeth not being able to bite properly, which can damage the mechanical
structure. The blade needs to be locked (not too tight).
Check the tension of the blade before use. Properly tensioned blades will not
swing from side to side. The tool will operate as intended as long as the
tension of the blade is normal.
- Loosen the screw counter-clockwise with a screwdriver, as shown in figure 1 and then remove the screw as shown in figure 2.
- Use an Allen wrench to adjust the lock nut until it is tight but not too tight, as shown in figure 3.
- Tighten the screws as shown in figure 4 and ensure that the blades close as intended.
Blade replacement
**** Disconnect the power to the scissors before such a task
Remove the battery to ensure safe working conditions and replace the blade
step by step as shown below.
- Use a Philips screwdriver to loosen the two screws on the top cover and remove the top cover, as shown in the figure.
- Use the provided special tools to loosen the screws as well as an anti-loosening washer, as shown in figure 2.
- Use a special tool to loosen the locknut and remove the stop washer, as shown in figure 3.
- Remove the old movable blade and replace it with a new one, as shown in figure 4.
- If necessary, oil the blade, as shown in figure 5.
- If necessary, clean the gears (warning: do not use chemical reagents), and grease them, as shown in figure 6.
- Install the blade and gear on the scissors, as shown in figure 7.
- Put on the stop washer and lock the lock nut, as shown in figure 8.
- Tighten the lock screw and anti-loosening washer, close the upper cover, and tighten the screw, as shown in figure 9.
N o te: The fixed and movable blades can be replaced separately, so there is no need to worry about the blade opening size when replacing. The normal opening size will be automatically restored after powering on the tool.
After replacement, clean the tool, turn it on to test it and close the blade to finish.
