- To fold the blower so that you can use it, grasp the motor unit with one hand and the tube with the other.
- Press the release button and place the tube on the outlet of the motor unit so that the release button fits into the hole in the tube when it is released (Fig. A)
- Release the lock and check that it clicks, and the tube does not rotate and is straight.
- If you need to remove the tube, press the catch and pull the tube away from the outlet of the motor unit.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
Warning: Only use the battery specified by the manufacturer as suitable
or recommended for the type of blower. Using another battery can result in
loss of warranty, damage to the product, damage to property, or a serious risk
of injury or death.
Recommended types of batteries and chargers
The battery and charger are not included. Only use these recommended types of
batteries and chargers.
Battery:
- AlzaTools 20LBP20V (model AT-20LBP20V)
- AlzaTools 40LBP20V (model AT-40LBP20V)
Charger:
- AlzaTools 35FCH20V (model AT-35FCH20V)
- AlzaTools 24FCH20V (model AT-24FCH20V)
- AlzaTools DCH20V (model AT-DCH20V)
Inserting and removing the battery
Follow the instructions, directions and warnings in the relevant operating
instructions when handling the battery.
Before inserting or removing the battery, make sure that:
- the blower is switched off;
- the battery is fully charged.
Align the grooves in the battery compartment at the back of the blower with
the slots on the battery and slide it into the blower until you hear a click
(Fig. B).
If you need to remove the battery, press the button on the battery and pull it
out of the blower (Fig. B). When inserting and removing, hold the blower and
battery firmly to prevent damage from improper handling (e.g., falling).
Do not insert or remove the battery by force. If it cannot be easily removed,
it is likely that it has not been inserted correctly. Contact an authorized
service centre.
Charge status check
The battery is fitted with a charge status indicator (3 LEDs). To check the
charge status, press the button on the side (Fig. C). If all LEDs are lit, the
charge level is high. When two LEDs are lit, the battery is partially
discharged. If only one LED is lit, the battery is discharged and must be
recharged.
OPERATION
Intended use
This blower is designed to blow air from the tube, which removes unwanted
material (e.g. leaves or twigs). The blower is intended for domestic use only.
It is not intended for commercial use or use in an industrial environment.
Switching On/Off
Before switching on the blower, make sure that:
- It is correctly assembled;
- The battery is inserted correctly;
- The battery is fully charged.
Slide the switch forwards to switch on the blower; slide the switch backwards to switch off the blower (Fig. D). You may hear a click inside the blower as you move the switch. This is a normal occurrence.
Note: If you use the blower until the battery is discharged, let the blower cool down for at least 15 minutes before using it again with a second battery.
Use
Hold the blower firmly by the handle with one hand and switch it on.
Stand upright and stable when handling the blower. Move the blower slowly from
side to side (Fig. E). Do not lean, lean forward or stand on one leg. Always
be confident when standing on slopes and walking. Never run.
If you use the blower near buildings, cars, large stones, etc., always point
the blower tube away from them.
If using the blower in a corner, point the blower tube directly into the
corner, and then move back from the corner.
Warning: Do not place the blower on the ground while it is in operation.
Dust or dirt can enter and damage the blower and result in injury.
Warning: Do not cover the ventilation holes (Fig. F). There is a risk of
the motor unit overheating and irreversible damage.
Overload protection
If you use the blower or battery in a way that draws an abnormally high
current, the blower will stop automatically without any indication. If this
happens, slide the switch back to turn off the blower and stop the operation
that caused it to overload. Then turn on the blower again.
Overheating protection
If the blower or battery overheats, the blower will stop automatically. If
this happens, slide the switch back to turn off the blower and let the blower
and battery cool down. Then turn on the blower again.
Protection against excessive discharge
If the charge level drops excessively, the blower will stop automatically. If
this happens, slide the switch back to turn off the blower. Remove the battery
and charge it.
Note: Overload, overheating and over-discharge protection are safety
systems for the blower and battery, which protect them from damage. Do not
attempt to bypass or modify these security fea-tures. There is a risk of
serious injury or death.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Warning: Before any maintenance or cleaning of the blower, always make
sure that it is switched off and the battery is removed.
The user must only carry out the maintenance and cleaning described in this
manual. In the case of other maintenance, cleaning or adjustment, contact an
authorized service centre.
- Clean the blower after each use. This will ensure its long life.
- Disassemble the blower and remove leaves, twigs, etc. from the tube. Make sure that the tube is clean.

pets and people who have not been instructed in the safe use of this product.
Only store the blower inside a building.
