GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR POWER TOOLS
WARNING! All safety instructions, user manuals, images and regulations supplied with these tools must be read. Failure to follow all of the following instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious personal injury. All instructions and the user manual must be kept for future reference.
Safety of working environment
- The workplace must be kept clean and well lit. Untidy and dark spaces are often the cause of accidents.
- Power tools must not be used in potentially explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks that can ignite dust or fumes.
- Children and other persons must be kept away when using power tools. If the operator is disturbed, he/she may lose control of the operation.
Electrical safety
- The plug on the power tool’s flexible lead must match the power outlet. The plug must never be modified in any way. No socket adapters may be used with tools that have a protective earth connection. Plugs and respective sockets that are rendered unusable will reduce the risk of electric shock.
- The operator must not touch grounded objects, such as pipes, central heating units, cookers and refrigerators. The risk of electric shock is greater if your body is connected to the ground.
- Power tools must not be exposed to rain, moisture or wetness. If water enters the power tool, the risk of electric shock increases.
- The flexible supply must not be used for other purposes. The power tool must not be carried or pulled by the cord, nor must the plug be unplugged from the socket. The inlet must be protected from heat, grease, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or tangled leads increase the risk of electric shock.
- If the power tool is used outdoors, an extension cord suitable for outdoor use must be used. Using an extension cord for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
- If the power tool is used in a humid environ- ment, a residual current device (RCD) must be used. Using an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
Safety of persons
- When using a power tool, the operator must be careful, pay attention to what he/she is doing, and concentrate and think clearly. Power tools must not be used if the operator is tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. Momentary inattention while using a power tool can result in serious personal injury.
- Use personal protective equipment. Always use eye protection. Protective equipment such as a respirator, non-slip safety shoes, hard hat and hearing protection, used in accordance with the working conditions, reduces the risk of personal injury.
- Unintentional starting of the machine must be avoided. Make sure that the switch is in the off position before plugging in and/or connecting the battery pack, lifting or carrying the tool. Carrying a tool with your finger on the switch or plugging in a tool fork with the switch on can cause injury.
- All adjusting tools or wrenches must be removed before turning on the tool. An adjusting tool or wrench that remains attached to the rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
- The operator must only work where he/she can safely reach. The operator must always maintain a stable posture and balance. This will allow better control of the power tool in unforeseen situations.
- Dress appropriately. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. The operator must make sure that his/her hair and clothing are a sufficient distance away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery and long hair can be caught in moving parts.
- Where equipment is provided for connecting dust extraction and collection facilities, care must be taken to ensure that it is connected and used correctly. The use of such equipment can reduce hazards caused by dust.
- The operator must not allow the routine that results from the frequent use of the tools, to cause them to become complacent and ignore the principles of tool safety. Careless activity can cause serious injuries in a split second.
Use and the maintenance of power tools
- Power tools must not be overloaded. It is essential to use the correct power tool for the work being carried out. The correct power tool will do the work it was designed to do better and safer.
- Power tools that cannot be turned on and off with the switch must not be used. Any power tool that cannot be operated with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
- Before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools, unplug the power tool and/or remove the battery pack from the power tool if it is removable. These precautions reduce the risk of accidentally starting the power tool.
- Unused power tools must be stored out of the reach of children. Persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions must not be allowed to use the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of inexperienced users.
- Power tools and accessories must be maintained. The adjustment of moving parts and their mobility must be checked and attention focused on cracks, broken parts and any other circumstances that may jeopardize the function of the power tool. If the tool is damaged, it must be repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
- Cutting tools must be kept sharp and clean. Properly maintained and sharpened cutting tools are less likely to catch on material or jam and are easier to control.
- Power tools, accessories and tool bits etc. must be used in accordance with these instructions and in the manner intended for the particular power tool, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be carried out. Using power tools for activities other than those for which they are designed can lead to dangerous situations.
- Handles and grip surfaces must be kept dry, clean and free of grease. Slippery handles and gripping surfaces mean the tool cannot be held and controlled in unexpected situations.
Service
- Power tool repairs must be carried out by qualified personnel using identical spare parts. This will ensure the same level of safety of the pow-er tool as before the repair.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS COMMON TO GRINDING, SURFACE GRINDING, WIRE BRUSHING, POLISHING OR ABRASIVE CUTTING WORK.
- This electromechanical tool is intended for use as a grinder, surface grinder, wire brush grinder, polisher or cutting tool. All safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specifications given for this electromechanical tool must be read. Failure to follow all instructions below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
- It is not recommended to carry out work such as grinding, surface grinding, wire grinding, polishing or cutting with this tool. Performing work for which this tool is not intended can create risk and cause personal injury.
- Accessories that are not specifically designed and recommended by the tool manufacturer must not be used. Just because an accessory can be attached to your tool does not guarantee its safe operation.
- The rated speed of the accessory must be at least equal to the maximum speed marked on the tool. Accessories that operate at speeds higher than their rated speed may break and fall apart.
- The outer diameter and thickness of the accessories must be within the nominal range for the electromechanical tool. Accessories with the wrong size cannot be adequately protected or controlled.
- The clamping dimensions of discs, flanges, washers and other accessories must be suitable for mounting on the tool spindle. Accessories with clamping holes that do not match the mounting dimensions of the power tool will be unbalanced, may vibrate excessively and may cause loss of control.
- Damaged accessories must not be used Check accessories before each use: chips and cracks on grinding wheels, tears or excessive wear on backing pads, loose or broken wires on wire brushes. If the accessory or tool has been dropped, check for damage or reinstall undamaged accessories. After checking and fitting the attachment, the operator and any bystanders must be positioned out of the plane of the rotating attachment and the tool should be allowed to idle at maximum speed for one minute. During this test period, damaged accessories will usually break or disintegrate.
- Personal protective equipment must be used. Depending on the application, a face shield or safety goggles must be worn. A dust mask, hearing protection, gloves and an apron capable of retaining small fragments of abrasions or workpieces must be used to the appropriate extent. Eye protection must be able to retain flying debris that arises during various work activities. The dust mask or respirator must be able to filter out the particles that form during the activity. Prolonged exposure to high-intensity noise can cause hearing loss.
- Any bystander must remain at a safe distance from the work area. Everyone entering the work area must use personal protective equipment. Fragments of the workpiece or damaged accessories can fly off and cause injuries even outside the immediate work area.
- When performing an operation where the cutting tool may come into contact with a hidden guide or its own power supply, the power tool must be held only by the insulated gripping surfaces. Contact of a cutting tool with a “live” wire can cause uninsulated metal parts of the power tool to become “live” and cause an electric shock to the user
- The flexible feed must be located out of reach of the rotating tool. If the operator loses control, the moving feed may be cut or reground, and the operator’s hand or arms may be pulled into the rotating tool.
- Electromechanical tools must never be stored until the tool has come to a complete stop. The rotating tool can catch on the surface and pull the tool out of the operator’s control.
- Electromechanical tools must never be started when being carried by the operator. The rotating tool can get caught on the operator’s clothing and be pulled against the body.
- The air vents on the tool must be regularly cleaned. The motor fan draws dust into the cabinet, and excessive accumulation of metal dust can cause electrical hazards.
- Electromechanical tools must not be used near flammable materials. These materials could ignite from sparks.
- Accessories requiring cooling by liquid must not be used. The use of water or other coolants can cause electric shock or death.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL WORK ACTIVITIES
Recoil and related warnings
- Recoil is a sudden reaction to the gripping or jamming of a rotating disc, backing pad, brush or other accessories. Clamping or jamming will cause the rotating tool to abruptly stop, which in turn will cause the uncontrolled tool to move in the opposite direction to the rotation of the tool at the point of jamming.
- For example, if a grinding disc is clamped or jammed in the workpiece, the edge of the disc that enters the clamping point can be pushed away from the surface of the material, causing the disc to be pushed up or thrown off. The disc can either jump towards or away from the operator, depending on the direction of the blade at the point of jamming. The grinding disc can also break in these cases.
- The recoil is the result of the improper use of the power tool and/or incorrect working procedures or conditions and can be prevented by proper compliance with the safety precautions described below.
- The tool must be held firmly and the correct body and arm position must be maintained so that it can withstand the forces of the recoil. An auxiliary handle, if equipped, must always be used for maximum control of the recoil or re-action torque when starting the machine. The operator is able to check the reaction torques and kickback forces if the correct safety precau-tions are observed.
- The hand must never come close to the rotat-ing tool. The tool can throw the operator’s hand back.
- Do not stand in the area where the tool can reach in the event of recoil. The recoil throws the tool in the opposite direction to the direc-tion of the movement of the blade at the point of jamming.
- Special attention must be paid to machining corners, sharp edges, etc. Jumping and jam-ming of the tool must be avoided. Corners, sharp edges or jumping tend to jam the rotat-ing tool and cause loss of control or recoil.
- A chain saw or toothed saw blade must not be attached to the tool. These discs often cause recoil and loss of control.
SAFETY WARNINGS SPECIFIC TO GRINDING WORK ACTIVITIES
- Only use the types of discs recommended for this electromechanical tool and the specific guard designed for the selected disc. Discs for which the power tool has not been designed cannot be adequately covered and are danger-ous.
- The protective cover must be securely attached to the power tool and positioned for maximum safety so that as little of the blade as possible is exposed in the direction of operation. The pro-tective cover helps protect the operator from blade debris, accidental contact with the disc and sparks that can ignite clothing.
- The discs must only be used as recommend-ed. For example: grinding with the side of the cutting disc is forbidden. Abrasive cutting discs are designed for circumferential cutting; the lateral forces acting on these discs could shat-ter them.
- Undamaged disc flanges that are the correct size and shape for the selected disc must al-ways be used. Proper blade flanges support the blade, reducing the possibility of the blade breaking. Cutting wheel flanges may differ from grinding wheel flanges.
- Worn discs of originally larger dimensions, which are intended for larger electromechan-ical tools, must not be used. discs designed for larger electromechanical tools are not suitable for the higher speeds of smaller tools and may break.
SAFETY WARNINGS SPECIFIC TO ABRASIVE CUTTING WORK
- The cutting disc must not strike the material or be subjected to excessive pressure. No attempt should be made at an excessive depth of the cut. Overloading the blade increases the load and the susceptibility to twisting or jamming of the blade in the cut and the possibility of recoil or cracking the blade.
- Do not stand in a straight line with or behind the rotating disc. Once the blade moves away from the operator’s body at the point of oper-ation, a possible recoil can throw the rotating discs and electromechanical tools directly at the operator.
- If the disc jams or cutting is interrupted for any reason, the power tool must be turned off and held stationary until the blade comes to a com-plete stop. The operator must never attempt to remove the cutting blade from the cut while the blade is in motion as recoil may occur. The situ-ation must be investigated and a remedy found to avoid jamming the disc.
- Cutting of the workpiece must not be restarted. The blade is allowed to reach full speed and is carefully re-inserted into the cut. If the tool is restarted with the blade in the cut, it may jam, be pushed up or recoil.
- Panels and other large pieces of workpieces must be supported to reduce the risk of wheel and recoil jams. Large workpieces tend to sag under their own weight. Supports must be placed under the workpiece near the cutting line and near the edges of the workpiece on both sides of the blade.
Special care must be taken when making “pulp cuts” into existing walls or other blind spaces. The penetrating blade can cut through gas or wa-ter pipes, power lines, or objects that can cause recoil.SAFETY WARNINGS SPECIFIC TO SUR- FACE GRINDING WORK:
- Do not use oversized sandpaper for the grind-ing disc. The manufacturer’s recommendations must be followed when selecting sandpaper. Large sandpaper that extends beyond the sanding plate poses a risk of tearing and can cause jams, wheel tearing or recoil.
SAFETY WARNINGS SPECIFIC TO POLISHING WORK
- Do not let any loose part of the polishing sleeve or its fastening laces rotate freely. All loose fastening laces should be filed or cut off. Loose and rotating fastening laces can become tangled in the operator’s fingers or jam on the workpiece.
SAFETY WARNINGS SPECIFIC TO WIRE BRUSH GRINDING WORK
- Even during normal operation, wire bristles are shed from the brush. Wires must not be over-loaded by excessive brush loading. Wire bris-tles can easily penetrate light clothing and/or leather.
- If the use of a protective cover is recommend-ed for wire brush grinding, secure it so that there is no contact between the wire disc or brush and the protective cover. The wire disc or brush can increase its diameter when working due to loads and centrifugal forces.

Noise and vibration information
- The noise produced by the equipment is defined by: the level of sound pressure produced LpA and the level of sound power LwA (where K is the uncertainty of the measurement). The vibrations produced by the device are defined with the value of the vibration acceleration ah (where K is the measurement uncertainty).
- Sound pressure LpA, sound power LwA and the vibration accelerations ah given in this manual were measured in accordance with EN 60745-1. The specified vibration level ah can be used to compare tools and to initially evaluate vibration exposure.
- The stated vibration level is representative of the main equipment applications.
- If the device is used for other purposes or with different work tools, the vibration level may change. Insufficient or occasional maintenance can increase vibration levels. The above factors can lead to higher vibration exposure throughout working hours.

CONSTRUCTION AND USE
The angle grinder is a cordless hand tool. The drive consists of a DC carbonless motor whose rota-tional speed is transmitted by an angular transmission. Tools can be used for grinding and cutting. This type of power tool is widely used for deburring metal surfaces, surface treatment of welds, cut-ting pipes and other metal objects, etc. With the right equipment, the angle grinder can be used not only for cutting or grinding but also for removing rust, paint, etc. The range of applications covers all areas of repairs and construction of interior fittings, room mod-ifications, etc. The tool is intended for dry operation only and cannot be used for polishing. Only use power tools in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Incorrect use.
- Do not process materials that contain asbestos. Asbestos is a carcinogen.
- Do not handle materials that produce flammable or explosive dust. During operation, power tools create sparks that may ignite the resulting fumes.
- Do not grind with discs intended for cutting. Cutting discs that work with the leading edge surface and grinding with the side surface of the disc can cause damage and, as a result, injury to the operator.

ANGLE GRINDER INSTALLATION FOR ANGLE GRINDER SUPPORT The angle grinder can be used in a special support for angle grinders.
The angle grinder must be properly mounted in accordance with the installation
procedure provided by the support manufacturer.
OPERATION/SETTING
Before using the grinder check the condition of the grinding wheel. Do not use
discs with dents, cracks or other damage. Replace a worn wheel or grinding
wheel with a new one before use. After finishing working, always switch off
the grinder and wait until the work tool has come to a complete stop. Only
then can you put the grinder away. Do not block the rotating grinding wheel by
pushing it against the material to be machined. Do not overload the grinder.
The weight of the power tool creates sufficient pressure to work efficiently.
Overloading and excessive pressure can cause dangerous cracks in the work
tool. If the grinder is dropped during operation, be sure to check and, if
necessary, replace the work tool if it is damaged or deformed. Never interfere
with the processed material with a work tool. Be careful not to knock or tear
the blade, as this could cause loss of control of the power tool and recoil.
Never use saw blades designed for circular saws. The use of these blades often
results in the recoil of the power tool, loss of control and can injure the
operator.
TURNING ON/OFF
Hold the grinder with both hands during start-up and operation. The grinder is
fitted with a switch that protects against accidental start-up.
- Press the rear part of the switch (2).
- Slide the switch (2) forwards – (towards the head) (Fig. F).
- Press the front of the switch for continuous operation.
- The switch automatically locks in the continuous operation position. Press the back of the switch (2) to turn off the tool.
After starting the grinder, wait for a while until the wheel reaches maximum
speed; only
then can you continue working. When working, do not use the grinder switch to
turn it on
or off. The toggle button can only be used when the grinder is away from the
material being pro-cessed.
CUTTING Important notice
-
To use the machine to cut material, it is necessary to replace the enclosed protective cover “for grinding” with another type of cover intended “for cutting”.
-
Contact the manufacturer for more information on this cover.
-
The correct cover must be fitted for your own safety.
-
When cutting, keep the cutting blade perpendicular to the cut and do not tilt the machine. The disc may be caught in the cut, damaged, torn or increased wear may occur.
-
Only use the cutting blade!
-
Use the angle grinder only for straight cutting.
-
Do not cut the material while holding it in your hand.
-
Support large pieces and make sure that the support points are located near the cut line and the end edge of the material. Stable material does not tend to shift during cutting.
-
Fasten small pieces, e.g. in a vice or with clamps. Fasten the material so that the cutting point is close to the fastener. This ensures greater cutting accuracy.
-
Do not allow the disc to vibrate or wear on the material, as this could adversely affect the quality of the cut and cause cracks in the disc.
-
When cutting, do not apply side pressure to the blade.
-
Use only the appropriate cutting disc for the type of material being processed.
-
When cutting, it is recommended to align the direction of travel with the direction of the rotation of the cutting disc.
-
The depth of the cut depends on the diameter of the blade (Fig. G).
-
Only use discs with a nominal diameter equal to or less than that recommended for the type of grinder.
-
In the case of deep cutting (e.g. profiles, building blocks, bricks, etc.), avoid contact of the flange fixings with the material being processed.
-
The cutting discs become hot during operation – do not touch unprotected parts of the body until they have cooled down.
GRINDING -
With the angle grinder, you can use grinding wheels, bowl wheels, lamellar wheels, wheels with a sanding cloth, wire brushes, elastic wheels for sanding paper, etc.
-
Each type of wheel and processed material requires a proper working technique and the use of ap-propriate personal protective equipment.
-
Do not use cutting discs when grinding.
-
Grinding wheels are designed to remove material from the edge of the disc.
-
Do not use the side surface for grinding. The optimal working angle for such discs is 30° (Fig. H). Only grind with grinding wheels suitable for the material being processed.
-
When using lamellar discs, make sure that the sanding sheets and the flexible sanding discs maintain the correct working angle (Fig. I).
-
Do not use the entire disc surface for grinding.
-
Such wheels are used to treat flat surfaces.
-
Wire brushes are mainly used for cleaning profiles and hard-to-reach places. Use them to remove rust, paint, etc. (Fig. K).
-
Only use work tools whose permissible speed is greater than or equal to the maximum no-load angle grinder speed.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Remove the battery from the device before starting any related activities such
as installation, adjust-ment, repair or maintenance.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
It is recommended to clean the device after each use.
Do not use water or any other liquid for cleaning.
Clean the tool with a dry cloth or with compressed air. Do not use any
cleaning agents or solvents as they can damage the plastic parts. Regularly
clean the ventilation openings in the motor housing to prevent the device from
overheat-ing. In the case of excessive sparking of the commutator, have a
qualified person check the technical condition of the motor carbon brushes.
Always store tools in a dry place, out of reach of children. Store equipment
with the battery removed. All defects should be repaired by a service centre
