ADLER AD 2114 Curling Iron
INSTRUCTION
SAFETY CONDITIONS IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS ON SAFETY OF USE PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
- Before using the product please read carefully and always comply with the following instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible for any damages due to any misuse.
- The appliance is intended for domestic use only. Do not use the product for any purpose that is not compatible with its application.
- The applicable voltage is 220-240V,-50/60Hz. For safety reasons it is not appropriate to connect multiple devices to one power outlet
- Please be cautious when using around children. Do not let the children to play with the product. Do not let children or people who do not know the device to use it without supervision.
- WARNING: This device may be used by children over 8 years of age and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or persons without experience or knowledge of the device, only under the supervision of a person responsible for their safety, or if they were instructed on the safe use of the device and are aware of the dangers associated with its operation. Children should not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance of the device should not be carried out by children, unless they are over 8 years of age and these activities are carried out under supervision.
- After you are finished using the product always remember to gently remove the plug from the power outlet holding the outlet with your hand. Never pull the power cable!
- Never put the power cable, the plug or the whole device into the water. Never expose the product to the atmospheric conditions such as direct sun light or rain, etc.. Never use the product in humid conditions (bathrooms, cabin houses).
- Periodicaly check the power cable condition. If the power cable is damaged the product should be turned to a professional service location to be replaced in order to avoid hazardous situations.
- Never use the product with a damaged power cable or if it was dropped or damaged in any other way or if it does not work properly.
- Do not try to repair the defected product yourself because it can lead to electric shock. Always turn the damaged device to a professional service location in order to repair it. All the repairs can be done only by service professionals. The repair that was done incorrectly can cause hazardous situations for the user.
- Never use the product close to combustibles.
- Never leave the product connected to the power source without supervision. Even when use is interrupted for a short time, turn it off from the network, unplug the power.
- In order to provide additional protection, it is recommended to install residue current device (RCD) in the power circuit, with residual current rating not more than 30 mA. Contact professional electrician in this matter.

- Do not cover the appliance, it might cause the accumulation of heat in its interior and it may cause damage or fire.
- Hairsprays contain flammable materials. Do not apply them while using the device.
- Do not use the device on people who are sleeping.
- During operation, do not put the device on a wet surface or on a surface that is sensitive to heat and high temperatures.
- After use, turn off and unplug the unit. Wait until the device cools down before storing.
- The heating elements reach high temperatures during operation. Do not touch hot parts of the device with bare hands and do not allow it to come into contact with the Scalp, as this may cause burns.
- The device is not intended to be operated with external timers or a separate remote control system.

USING THE DEVICE
To achieve the best results in hair curling, use a device on washed, brushed and dry hair. To prevent hair damage, make sure to use the correct temperature setting for your hair type.

Before starting power cord should be fully unrolled.

Insert the plug into the power socket. LCD temperature display will turn on and show “OFF” sign.

Press the On/Off power button (1) until curling iron shows “180°C” and starts heating up to this value.

Adjust the temperature using temperature adjustment buttons +/-(2). During heat up time, the LCD temperature display (3) will start flashing until the desired temperature is reached. Display will stop flashing when the curling iron is ready to use.

Start with separating a strand of hair.

Open the clamp (5) using the lever (6). Place the strand of hair so that the hair ends protrude slightly beyond the clamp. Close the clamp (5).

Wind the hair strand around the curling iron wand, starting at the hair tips and moving closer to the head.
CAUTION: Avoid touching the head skin with the curling iron- this may cause burns. -
For heavy curl effect, keep the strand of hair wound around the curling iron wand for +/- 10 seconds or for a shorter time for light curls or crimped hair.

After use, click twice the On/off power button (1) to remove the temperature lock. Then press On/off power button (1) longer until device switches off showing OFF sign. Then unplugit from the power source.
TEMPERATURE LOCK
Device has temperature lock function. Padlock icon shows up after 4 seconds
without pressing any buttons. To disable lock function quickly press the
On/off power button (1) twice. NOTE: If you feel that culing iron is not
responding, always check if the lock icon is on.
CHANGING THE TEMPERATURE SCALES
You can change between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C) Scales. If the lock
icon is on press the On/off button (1) twice to disable lock function. Then
press at once temperature adjustment buttons+ and-(2). Scale will change.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Prior to cleaning, unplug the device from the power source and wait until it is cool to the touch.
- Clean the body of the device with moist cloth. Never immerse the device in water or other liquids.
- Do not wind the power cable around the device.
