SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS AND DELIVER TO OWNER AFTER INSTALLATION
- To reduce the risk of death, personal injury or property damage from fire, electric shock, falling parts, cuts/abrasions, and other hazards please read all warnings and instructions included with and on the fixture box and all fixture labels.
- Before installing, servicing, or performing routine maintenance upon this equipment, follow these general precautions.
- Installation and service of luminaires should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
- Maintenance of the luminaires should be performed by person(s) familiar with the luminaires’ construction and operation and any hazards involved. Regular fixture maintenance programs are recommended.
- It will occasionally be necessary to clean the outside of the refractor/lens. Frequency of cleaning will depend on ambient dirt level and minimum light output which is acceptable to user. Refractor/lens should be washed in a solution of warm water and any mild, non-abrasive household detergent, rinsed with clean water and wiped dry. Should optical assembly become dirty on the inside, wipe refractor/lens and clean in above manner, replacing damaged gaskets as necessary.
- DO NOT INSTALL DAMAGED PRODUCT! This luminaire has been properly packed so that no parts should have been damaged during transit. Inspect to confirm. Any part damaged or broken during or after assembly should be replaced.

WARNING
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
- Disconnect or turn off power before installation or servicing.
- Verify that supply voltage is correct by comparing it with the luminaire label information.
- Make all electrical and grounded connections in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local code requirements.
- All wiring connections should be capped with UL approved recognized wire connectors.
WARNING RISK OF BURN
- Allow lamp/fixture to cool before handling. Do not touch enclosure or light source.
- Do not exceed maximum wattage marked on luminaire label.
- Follow all manufacturer’s warnings, recommendations and restrictions for: driver type, burning position, mounting locations/methods, replacement and recycling.
CAUTION RISK OF INJURY
- Wear gloves and safety glasses at all times when removing luminaire from carton, installing, servicing or performing maintenance.
- Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on.
CAUTION RISK OF FIRE
- Keep combustible and other materials that can burn, away from lamp/lens.
- Do not operate in close proximity to persons, combustible materials or substances affected by heat or drying.
CAUTION: RISK OF PRODUCT DAMAGE
- Never connect components under load.
- Do not mount or support these fixtures in a manner that can cut the outer jacket or damage wire insulation.
- Unless individual product specifications deem otherwise: Never connect an LED product directly to a dimmer packs, occupancy sensors, timing devices, or other related control devices. LED fixtures must be powered directly off a switched circuit.
- Unless individual product specifications deem otherwise: Do not restrict fixture ventilation. Allow for some volume of airspace around fixture. Avoid covering LED fixtures with insulation, foam, or other material that will prevent convection or conduction cooling.
- Unless individual product specifications deem otherwise: Do not exceed fixtures maximum ambient temperature.
- Only use fixture in its intended location.
- LED products are Polarity Sensitive. Ensure proper Polarity before installation.
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD): ESD can damage LED fixtures. Personal grounding equipment must be worn during all installation or servicing of the unit.
- Do not touch individual electrical components as this can cause ESD, shorten lamp life, or alter performance.
- some components inside the fixture may not be serviceable. In the unlikely event your unit may require service, stop using the unit immediately and contact an ABL representative for assistance.
- Always read the fixtures complete installation instructions prior to installation for any additional fixture specific warnings.

INTRODUCTION
Product Description
- This fixture is designed to operate an LED light source at up to 245 watts.
- This fixture must be serviced by trained electrical personnel.
- This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

INSTALLATION
Tools and Materials Required

Fixture Installation
- Remove the mounting assembly from the electrical housing by releasing the latch and then swinging it open until the hinge disengages. See Figure 1.
- Loosen the wire chamber cover screws and remove the wiring chamber cover. Allow it to hang by the electrical wires attached to the terminal block. See Figure 1.

Pendant mount
This unit must be mounted to a 1-1/2 NPT male threaded pendant. Verify that
the set screw, located in the mounting assembly, is backed out enough that it
will not interfere with the mounting threads. See Figure 1. Thoroughly inspect
threads for damage. DO NOT attempt to assemble with another part if any thread
damage is found on either part. Apply pipe thread sealant completely around
the first 4 male threads on the mounting pendant. Force the sealant into the
threads, see Figure 2. Thread the mounting assembly onto the pipe threads.
Tighten by hand at least 5 full turns to ensure the end of the conduit goes
past the setscrew hole

CAUTION
FIELD APPLICATION OF PIPE THREAD SEALANT IS REQUIRED. FAILURE TO PROPERLY
APPLY PIPE THREAD SEALANT COULD CAUSE THIS UNIT TO LEAK OR CAUSE INADEQUATE
THREAD ENGAGEMENT.
PIPE THREAD SEALANT MUST BE APPLIED TO MALE THREAD ASSEMBLY TO ENSURE PROPER
INSTALLATION
Rigid Pendant mounting – Thread the mounting assembly onto the pipe
threads. Tighten by hand at least 5 full turns to insure the end of the
conduit goes past the setscrew hole. Continue to tighten with wrench until the
threads tighten completely and the street side of luminaire is pointed in
proper direction. Reflector assembly and refractor are marked “street side.”
Tighten the set screw to 12-15 ft-lbs.
Quick Stem Mount
Refer to Installation Manual provided with the swivel fitter (IM-347) Attach
the luminaire to the fitter by removing fitter door and inserting stem of
luminaire into the fitter. (Fig 3) Do not damage the electrical supply wires
during attachment of the luminaire. Feed the electrical supply wires through
the center of the stem grommet and make final connection per section 2.2.7.
Replace the fitter door by engaging the lip of the door inside the fitter.
Tighten the door screws to 5-6 Ft-lbs. Tighten the nuts on the U-bolts to
30-40 Ft-lbs. Allow luminaire to self-level and tighten the set screws to
12-15 Ft-lbs. If necessary, adjust the leveling set screws so that the fitter
is installed level. Install shaft collar on stem in upmost position, flush
with fitter.

Remove wire chamber cover and connect the electrical supply wires to the
terminal block in the back of the electrical chamber. The terminals are marked
“L1” (Line 1). “G” (Ground), and “L2” (Line 2). If one of the supply lines is
electrically neutral, it should be connected to terminal “L2”. (Fig 1) Replace
wire chamber cover.
DM Option For units equipped with 0-10V dimming, locate the gray and purple
leads from the driver module. These are to be used with a Holophane approved
control circuit.
CAUTION
LEADS USED FOR DIMMING CONTROLS ARE TO BE SEPARATED FROM MAIN POWER CONDUCTORS
IN A MANNER TO SATISFY STATE AND LOCAL CODES.
Hang the electrical assembly on the mounting assembly hinge and plug in the
electrical connector. See Figure 4.
If equipped with a photocontrol receptacle, insert photocell and position eye
towards lens. Swing the electrical assembly closed and engage the latch to the
catch to securely close unit.
Hang the refractor assembly on the door hinge. Swing the refractor assembly
closed, engage the closure bolt and tighten the wing nut securely. See Figure
5.
If using Flat Glass (FG) Option, REMOVE BLUE FILM FROM GLASS.
OPTICS ORIENTATION NOTE
The product has a molded-in “STREET SIDE” marking. Insure that this side is
aimed toward the street.
Electrically energize the fixture and check for proper operation.

MAINTENANCE
Relamping and Cleaning
Wipe off exterior dirt and debris.
Loosen the wing nut securing the refractor assembly and disengage the closure
bolt, swinging the refractor open slowly. See Figure 5.
Inspect the LED board and reflector assembly. These are maintenance free items
and should never be touched, adjusted or wiped with any cleaner.
Wipe off the refractor and reflector with a dry cloth. If the refractor needs
to be washed, use water and detergent.
CAUTION
DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANSERS ON OPTICAL SURFACES. THEIR USE MAY RESULT IN THE
LOSS OF OPTICAL PERFORMANCE.
Swing the refractor assembly closed, engage the closure bolt and tighten the
wing nut securely. See Figure 5.
Electrical Component Replacement.
NOTE
The entire fixture below the mounting assembly (Fig 1.) may be removed in the
field to allow further maintenance of the module to be performed in the shop.
The fixture contains a surge protection module (Shown in Fig 4) that is meant
to fail in case of electrical spikes or over voltage conditions. Remove this
and replace to see if this restores power to the circuit.
Disengage the latch securing the fixture to the mounting assembly and swing
the fixture open slowly.
Disconnect the electrical connector and then remove the fixture from the
mounting assembly by swinging the fixture open on the hinge far enough to
disengage the hinge pin from the hinge hook. See Figure 1.
Remove the electrical module by loosening the two attachment screws and
disengaging the module from the screw heads and lift the module from the
electrical housing. See Figure 1.
Carefully note the position and attachment means for all components and wiring
and tag all wiring that will be disconnected. Remove the screws, straps and
brackets securing the component(s) and save all mounting hardware for reuse.
Replace with Holophane supplied electrical components, positioning the new
component exactly as was the old. Secure with the original hardware and
tighten all fasteners securely.
Rewire based on the tags applied earlier and according to industry accepted
wiring techniques. Reposition all wiring and secure it as it was originally.
Carefully reinstall the electrical module into the electrical housing; tighten
all screws securely. See Figure 4.

Electrically energize the fixture and check for proper operation.
