Using the AC adaptor

AC adaptor:

3The supplied AC adaptor is suitable for use on AC main supplies of 100-240V AC and should only be connected to a mains supply within these parameters.
Caution:

  • The included AC adapter is exclusively intended to be used with this device.
  • Turn off the power before unplugging the AC adapter to avoid damaging the device.
  • In case of unused for long periods, unplug the AC adapter from the outlet.
  • Place the unit near the outlet and make sure it is easily accessible. If a malfunction occurs, immediately disconnect the unit from the wall outlet.
  • The adapter enables you to unplug the unit. It must be easily accessible during use.
  • To completely turn off power, unplug the adapter from the wall outlet.
  • Never use a damaged power adapter. Place the power cord safely and so that you do not pinch or crush it. If the cable is damaged, contact a repair service.

TURN ON / OFF THE UNIT

  1. To turn the unit on, rotate the POWER ON/OFF switch clockwise until a “click” is heard and set the volume to a lower level. the POWER indicator turns Red.
  2. When you have finished the unit, rotate the POWER ON/OFF switch counter-clockwise until a “click” is heard to turn off the unit. the POWER indicator turns off.

LISTEN TO THE PHONO

  1. When the unit is on, rotate the function switch (PHONO_AUX_BT_USB/SD) to PHONO position.

  2. Remove the stylus cover from the stylus and released the Tone arm rest.

  3. Place a record on the turntable platter and select the desired speed (33/45/78) according to the record.
    NOTE: If you are playing 45RPM singles, place the 45 RPM adapter on the center spindle (45RPM adaptor is located in the holder near the tone arm).

  4. Push up the lift lever to raise the tone arm and gently move the tone arm to the desired position onto the record, Push down the lift lever, the tone arm slowly onto the record to start playing the record.

  5. Adjust the volume control to your desired level.

  6. Lift up the tone arm and put it on the rest when finished.

  7. Replace the stylus cover on the stylus and close the tone arm lock.

Noted:

  1. If the AUTO STOP ON/OFF Switch is turned ON, the record will stop automatically when playback ends. If Auto Stop switch is turned OFF, record will NOT stop automatically when playback ends.
  2. Certain types of records may have an auto-stop area outside the preset limit, so the turntable may stop before the last track finishes. If this occurs, set the AUTO-STOP switch to the “OFF” position. This allows the record to play to the end, but please note that it will not stop automatically. You must manually raise the tone arm and place it back in the rest and then turn off the power to prevent the turntable from spinning.

IMPORTANT:
Do not turn or stop the Turntable platter manually. Moving or jarring the Turntable platter without securing the Tone Arm Clamp could result in damage to the Tone Arm or Stylus.

Pairing a Bluetooth Device

  1. When the unit is on, rotate the function switch (PHONO_AUX_BT_USB/SD) to BT position, you will hear the “Bluetooth mode” indication voice.
  2. On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select “MT-103” from the Device List. (Refer to the user manual of the device to be connected for detailed operations.) You will hear” Connected” indication voice when pairing is successful.
  3. Long press ****/DEL to disconnect Bluetooth function, you will hear the “ready for paring” indication voice.

Tip: If you want to connect your Bluetooth speaker to another Bluetooth audio device, you need to disconnect current device first and follow the steps above to make a new connection

  • On some devices such as computers, once paired you must select the unit from the Bluetooth menu and choose “Use as Audio Device (stereo)” or similar.
  • Pairing remains intact when the unit and/or your Bluetooth device is taken out of communication range. An active connection will be re-established when your Bluetooth device returns within range.
  • When the unit is turned on again, it will automatically try to reconnect with the most recently paired Bluetooth device.

Using a Bluetooth Device

  1. With a unit paired (see previous section), operate your Bluetooth device and its sound will be heard through the MT-103’s speakers.
  2. Press ****/DEL to start playback.
  3. Press the ****/DEL button to pause playback. Press again to resume playback.
  4. Select desired track with / .
  5. Adjust the volume using the Volume buttons. You can also adjust the volume on the device to which you are paired.

USING THE AUX IN MODE

  1. Connect one end of the cable to the auxiliary input connector of the unit (cable not supplied).
  2. When the unit is on, rotate the function switch (PHONO_AUX_BT_USB/SD) to AUX position.
  3. Normally use your external audio appliance, the sound automatically goes through the speakers of your device.
  4. Adjust the volume to the desired level.
  5. Disconnect the external appliance from the auxiliary input to stop playback.

LISTEN TO THE DEVICE USB/SD CARD

  1. Connect a USB device/ SD card containing MP3 files or MP3 player to the USB port/SD card slot.
  2. When the unit is on, rotate the function switch (PHONO_AUX_BT_USB/SD) to USB/SD position, you will hear the indication voice “USB mode” or “SD card  mode” respectively. Unit will start to play the songs.
    3. Press / to select the desired song in the USB/SD card, recording songs stored in USB/SD card can be selected as well.
    4. Adjust the volume to the desired level.
    5. Press to skip forward to the next track or repeatedly to several tracks. Press return to the beginning of the track, or press repeatedly to skip backwards several tracks.
    6. Press /DEL to pause the USB/SD card playback, press /DEL again to resume playback.

Remark:

  • If the USB device and SD card are connected to the unit simultaneously, unit will play USB device first, if you want to change to SD function, please press USD/SD  button. You will hear the indication voice “SD card mode”.
  • In the USB or SD card playback mode, if you want to listen to your recording, long press REC button, then it will enter to the recording folder, press or button to select  your desired recording.

Removing the USB device/SD card
Please be sure to stop playback and turn the unit OFF before removing the USB device/SD card to avoid damage the USB/SD card and system.
Note

  • There are many USB devices/SD card in the market. We cannot guarantee to support all different models. Please try another USB/SD card device if yours is not supported.
  • The unit might not support all the multimedia files stored in USB/SD card because it includes some special playback procedure which might not be compatible with the procedure of this unit.

RECORDING FROM PHONO, AUX, BLUETOOTH TO USB/SD CARD

  1. Connect the USB device to the USB port or insert the SD card to the card slot on unit. (Note: Make sure the USB device or SD card has enough memory to save the recordings.)

  2. Rotate the function switch (PHONO_AUX_BT_USB/SD) to PHONO position (or AUX position, or Bluetooth position) and start to the mode playback.

  3. Long press REC button until you will hear ONE beep sound that it will start to recording.

  4. Long press REC button until you will hear TWO beep sound that recording is stop.
    Note:
    – A new folder will be created automatically in the USB or SD card to save your recordings.
    – If the USB device and SD card are connected to the unit simultaneously, the recoding will be saved to the USB device.

  5. To Listen to your recordings:
    – After recording procedure complete, rotate the function switch (PHONO_AUX_BT_USB/SD) to USB/SD position. You will hear the indication voice “USB mode” or  “SD card mode”. Unit will start to play USB/SD card songs.
    – In the playback mode, long press REC button to access the recording folder to listen to your recordings. Press or button to select your desired recording from  recording folder.
    – When the recording is playing, long press REC button again to exist from the recording folder.
    It will continue to play the songs which were previously stored in the USB device or SD card.

Erase the recording from USB/SD card:
When the recording is playing, long press ** /DEL button until you hear TWO beep indication voice that the recording is erased.
USING HEADPHONES / EARPHONES (NOT INCLUDED)
Maximum output voltage ≤ 150mV
HEADPHONE VOLUME WARNING
Connect earphones with the volume set low and increase it if required. Prolonged listening through some earphones at high volume settings can result in hearing damage. When headphones/earphones are connected, no sound will be emitted from the unit’s speaker.
Caution:** Avoid listening to sound at levels which may be harmful to your ears.
To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods.

USING THE RCA LINE OUT JACK

Connect one end of audio cable (cable not included) to the LINE OUT jack on the rear of unit andother end of cable connect to the RCA IN jack or AUX in jack of your other audio drive equipment.

  1. Turn on your audio drive equipment.
  2. Select one of your favorite mode (PHONO, Bluetooth, USB/ SD card, AUX IN) and start yourmode playback.

HOW TO REPLACE THE TURNTABLE STYLUS (NEEDLE)
Removing the Stylus(needle) from the Cartridge

  1. Raise the Tone Arm.
    To remove the old stylus needle, Place a screwdriver at the tip of the stylus and push downward as shown in direction “A”.

  2. Remove the stylus by pulling the stylus forward and pushing downward.

Installing the Stylus

  1. Hold the tip of the stylus and insert the stylus by pressing as shown in direction “B”.
  2. Push the stylus upward as in direction “C” until the stylus locks into the tip position.

TIPS FOR BETTER TURNTABLE PERFORMANCE

  1. When opening or closing the turntable cover, handle it gently, gripping it either at the centre or at each side.
  2. Do not touch the needle tip with your fingers; avoid bumping the needle against the turntable platter or record edge.
  3. Frequently clean the needle tip-use a soft brush in a “back-to-front” motion only.
  4. If you must use a needle cleaning fluid, use very sparingly.
  5. Gently wipe the dust cover and turntable housing with a soft cloth. Use only a small amount of mild detergent to clean the turntable and dust cover.
  6. Never apply harsh chemicals or solvents to any part of the turntable system.

  • AC adaptor is used as the disconnect device. It shall remain readily operable and should not be obstructed during intended use. To be completely disconnected the apparatus from supply mains, the AC adaptor of the apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains socket outlet completely.
  • Never use an AC adaptor that is damaged, route power lead in a safe manner and make sure it is not subjected to trapping or pinching. If the power lead is damaged refer to a qualified service agent.
