This product contains no user serviceable parts. Only a qualified electrician
should attempt repairs.
Do not place, store or use the product near direct sunlight or direct heat
sources or in a damp/ high humidity environment.

Battery Safety
This product is supplied with 1 x CR2032 battery. Only batteries of the same
or equivalent type as those recommended should be used with this product
Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
Exhausted batteries should be removed from the product to avoid leakage.
WARNING: IF THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT DOES NOT CLOSE SECURELY, STOP USING THE PRODUCT ANO KEEP IT AWAY FROM CHILDREN. CAUTION: VIGILANCE MUST BE MAINTAINED WITH “FLAT” OR SPARE BUTTON OR COIN BATTERIES IN THE HOME ANO THE PRODUCTS THAT CONTAIN THEM.
There are no obvious specific symptoms when a button or coin battery is stuck in a child’s oesophagus (food pipe). However, the child might exhibit the following symptoms:
- Coughing, gagging or drooling
- Appear to have a stomach up set or virus
- Vomiting
- Pointing to their throat or stomach
- Pain in their abdomen, chest or throat
- Tiredness and lethargy
- Be Quieter or more clingy than usual
- Loss or reduction of appetite
- Refusal or inability to eat solid foods
These sorts of symptoms may fluctuate.
A SPECIFIC SYMPTOM OF BUTTON OR COIN BATTERY INGESTION IS VOMITING FRESH (BRIGHT RED) BLOOD. SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION IF THIS OCCURS.
Care and Maintenance
Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity- 40 kg / BB lbs ma<
Wipe the exterior of the scale with a soft, damp cloth and allow it to dry
thoroughly.
Never immerse the scale in water or any other liquid.
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning detergents or scourers to clean the
scale, as this could cause damage.
Before First Use
Loosen the battery safety screw and open the battery compartment on the rear
of the scale.
Remove the plastic isolator tab from the battery compartment (if present)
prior to use. Check that the battery is inserted following the correct
polarity. Replace the battery compartment and tighten the battery compartment
screw.
Changing the Unit
- STEP 1: Press the function button to switch on the scale.
- STEP 2: White the display shows ‘8.8.8’, press the function button again until the desired weight mode appears on the scale.
- STEP 3: Wait for the display to show ‘0.0’. The scale is now ready for use.
Safe Lifting Guide
CAUTION: IF THE LUGGAGE IS TOO HEAVY TO LIFT COMFORTABLY, 00 NOT ATTEMPT TO WEIGH IT.
Stand next to the luggage and hold the scale in one hand only.
Maintain a straight back and use bent knees to lift the luggage.
Only took ahead when lifting. Do not attempt to read the display when
weighing.
The scale will sound an alert once the weight reading has been taken.
Do not twist or lean sideways when weighing. Keep shoulders level and face
forward at all times.
Holding the luggage close to the body, make sure the luggage does not touch
any
other object, as this can affect the reading.
Do not lift the luggage high. To take a weight reading, the luggage only needs
to lift off the floor.
Lift the luggage smoothly.
When the weight reading is complete, lower the luggage in the same manner as
it was lifted.
Operating the Luggage Scale
- STEP 1: Attach the strap around the luggage handle with the buckle facing upwards. Make sure the buckie is secure~ engaged Adjust the strap to remove any excess.
- STEP 2: Hold the scale with one hand. Allow the strap to dangle beneath the scale to enable an accurate zero reading.
- STEP 3: Press the function button to switch the scale on. Wait until the display shows ‘0.0’.
- STEP 4: Gent~ lift the scale until the luggage is just off the floor.
- STEP 5: When a stable weight reading is achieved the scale will sound an alert.
- STEP 6: Gently lower the luggage onto the floor.
- STEP 7: The weight reading will be displayed for approx.1 minute before switching off. To switch the scale off manually press the function button.
Accuracy and Allowances
Some factors that will affect the accuracy of the scale while weighing:
- The accuracy will be affected if the strap is pulled while taking a zero reading or the luggage touches any objects during weighing.
- The scale rounds up or down to the nearest increment. If two different readings are taken, the weight lies between the two results.
- The weight reading may not be an exact match of the airline check-in desk scale. This is due to manufacturing tolerances.
After a flight, allow the scale to return to room temperature before use. for these reasons, it is recommended that luggage is at least 500 g/1.1 lb less than the luggage allowance of the airline used. This will allow the scale to be packed with in the luggage allowance while travelling.
