Frequently Asked Questions
Is this product easy to clean?
Yes. The blades are removable, so you can wash them in the dishwasher.
What is the warranty for this product?
This product has a one-year limited warranty.
Can I use this knife to cut frozen foods?
Yes, it works well on frozen foods.
How long does the battery last?
The battery lasts up to 30 minutes.
I really need a knife to help cut freshly baked crusty bread. Has anybody had experience with this knife for that purpose?
This knife is no good for crusty bread. I bought it to cut my homemade sourdough. It just sits on the crust, the best you get is a scratch on the surface. If you force it through, the blade flexes and bends making it impossible to get a good slice.
How long is the cord?
It stretches to @5 feet.
Will this knife slice through a square of Salt Pork Bacon???
It might, but I have only used it on roast meats, ham, bread, angel food cake, all of which it cuts through with no problem.
Is this good for cutting fabric or plastic?
Fabric, no. maybe lightweight plastic.. for sure it will foam.
What is the warranty
This is a cheap knife but it does what I needed it to do…cut some foam and slice some bread. I don’t know about the warranty as I don’t think it’s worth sending it in if he malfunctions. It’s just a cheap little knife.
Could this cut through half inch-thick chocolate without the chocolate shattering?
I doubt it, because there are 2 blades that vibrate together, & it’s shaky & sloppy.
Is this wireless
No, this appliance will feature a 2-foot (24 inch) power cord.
Will this electric knife cut foam neatly, without rigged, waves or jagged edges?
No. Those problems are attributed more to human or operator error, not the electric knife itself, but you may want to place a yard stick or something with a straight edge on the foam while cutting to reduce ridged, wavy or jagged edges. OR, Amazon also sells electric heated cutters that can cut through foam AND Styrofoam.
Does the blade come off for cleaning?
The blade does come off like mix master blades do.
How long is the whole knife itself?
It is approximately 3 1/2″ x 14″.
