Functional description
The Hydrocor WM potable water storage tank has an internal tube heat
exchanger. Hot heating water supplied by a closed hot water heating system
flows through the tube heat exchanger. The heat of the tube heat exchanger is
transferred to the potable water. The internal anode protects the potable
water storage cylinder against corrosion.

Installation
DANGER
Risk of injury from pressurised components
- Only carry out work on the heating circuit or the potable water circuit when the system is depressurised.
- Observe the permissible operating pressures during operation.
NOTICE
Damage to property due to lubricants Seals can be destroyed by the use of
grease or oils. If necessary, flush dirt particles and grease and oil residues
out of the pipework. Observe the maximum tilting height (see section 3.3 on
page 22) of the storage cylinder when transporting through doors and
narrowings. Keep a sufficient distance from the wall when setting up the
cylinder. A distance of 300 mm from the wall is sufficient for assembly and
subsequent maintenance work. Make sure there is a sufficient distance from the
ceiling to ensure regular replacement of the anode. The required distance from
the ceiling depends on the size of the anode (see section 3.3 on page 22).
Distance in mm for type 120 and 160
Distance in mm for type 200
- cient load-bearing capacity (even when the storage cylinder is full). You can compensate for slight unevenness using the adjustable feet.
- Connect the pipework according to Fig. 1 on page 19 and Fig. 2 on page 21.
- Carry out a leakage test. Carry out the leak test on the heating side according to DIN EN 14336. Carry out the leak test on the potable water side according to DIN EN 806-4.
Commissioning
To commission the system, it must be flushed, filled and bled. Observe the permissible operating pressures. Proceed as follows during commissioning: Flush the potable water side of the potable water storage cylinder according to DIN EN 806-4. Fill the potable water side of the potable water storage cylinder
- Slowly open the cold water inlet of the potable water storage cylinder.
- Bleed the potable water storage cylinder at the individual draw off points of the installation.
Fill the heating side of the potable water storage cylinder.
- Slowly open the inlet of the heating water supply until the heating side of the potable water storage cylinder is filled.
- Bleed the complete heating system.
- Put the heating system into operation and set the nominal temperature.
- After initial heating-up, check the torque of the flange screws (17 -18 Nm). Retighten the flange screws if necessary.
- Carry out a functional control after heating-up.
Maintenance
Anode
The average service life of an anode (see Fig. 1 on page 19 (3)) is 2-3
years. Replace the anode when the diameter reduces to 1/3 of the original
diameter. Refer to the technical data (see section 3.3 on page 22) for the
original diameter. To replace the anode, proceed as follows:
- Loosen the external coupling of the anode at the potable water storage cylinder housing.
- Remove the anode from the potable water storage cylinder.
- Fit the new anode to the potable water storage cylinder.
- Tighten the coupling at the potable water storage cylinder.
Removal and disposal
If no return or disposal agreement has been made, dispose of the product yourself.
- If possible, recycle the components.
- Dispose of components which cannot be recycled according to the local regulations. Disposal with domestic waste is not permitted.
NOTICE
Risk of environmental pollution Incorrect disposal (for instance with domestic
waste) may lead to environmental damage.
- Dispose of packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner.
- Dispose of the components properly
