PRAXISDIENST Curette Teqler Sharp 16.5 cm Instructions
Read instructions carefully before use. Sterile, for single use only. Do not re-sterilize.
Curettage is a tangential (flat) removal of superficial skin lesions with a sharp spoon or a curette. Indications for the curettage are epidermal skin abnormalities. Wound healing takes place without scarring. There is no need for a suture.
Instructions for Use

Prepare skin area
Sterilise skin area with alcohol. -
Anesthetize the skin
Anesthetize the the area to be biopsied by injecting a solution of Lidocaine- HCL 1% subepidermally. -
Curettage of the skin
a. Stretch skin with thumb and index finger of non-active hand. Hold curette between thumb, index and middle finger (penholder technique) with the sharp side at the edge of the lesion.
b. Gently guide curette under slight pressure to remove the lesion with a tangential cut. -
Wound closure
Close wound with tape.
Sterilised with ethylene oxide by:

Remarks
To be used only by health care professionals, not by patients. Don’t use if
