WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS

WARNING: TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK, DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE INSTALLING!

WARNING: DO NOT attempt to alter the fixture. The fixture is not manufactured with parts that are serviceable or replaceable.
WARNING: BURN HAZARD! The fixture can be hot; allow cooling time prior to touching.
WARNING: DO NOT ALTER THE PLUG OR CORD. This LED light has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a feature to reduce the risk of electric shock. This plug will only fit in a polarized outlet one way. If the plug does not fully fit in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use a power strip unless the plug can be fully inserted.
WARNING: Products should be installed following these instructions, local electrical codes, and/or the current National Electric Code (NEC). Electrical requirements can be found on the back of the fixture.
WARNING: DO NOT use an extension cord. ONLY use power strips with integral overcurrent protection.
WARNING: DO NOT look directly at LED light source for any extended period of time.

CAUTION: ONLY operate in areas with air temperatures ranging between -0°F to 104°F (-18°C to 40°C).
CAUTION: ONLY route and secure the cords in a manner where they will not be pinched or damaged. DO NOT hang items from cords.
CAUTION: DO NOT mount to surfaces with a thickness less than 1/4-in. DO NOT mount over sinks or stoves.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE THIS FIXTURE WITH A DIMMING CIRCUIT. This fixture is not dimmable.

Turn power off before servicing.
Indoor use only.
Suitable for damp locations.

PRE-INSTALLATION

The light’s 5-ft. cord length restricts the maximum distance from an outlet the fixture can be mounted. Select a mounting location within 5 ft. of an electrical outlet. VERIFY THE LOCATION WORKS PRIOR TO DRILLING. There are 2 basic ways to mount the light: chain mount or flush mount. For CHAIN MOUNT WITH HOOK SCREWS, mark 2 mounting holes, 22 1/2 in. apart. For SURFACE MOUNT, mark 22 in. apart. ONLY instructions for installing to a wood joist/stud or drywall are addressed here.

CHAIN MOUNT: Mount hardware 22-1/2 in. apart.

1A WOOD

1B DRYWALL

It may be necessary to carefully tap the end of the drywall anchor to get it fully into place.

1B DRYWALL

The screw must pierce through the top hole of the anchor

1B DRYWALL

1A
WOOD INSTALLATION: Using a 1/16-in. drill bit, drill the 2 pilot holes where either the hook screws or wood screws (C/D) will be installed. Insert the hook screws or wood screws into the pilot holes. Tighten the screws until they are securely fastened into the mounting surface.

1B
DRYWALL INSTALLATION : Use a 3/16-in. drill bit, drill out the 2 insertion holes for the wedge anchors (B). Pinch the wedge anchor tips together (toward the center). Fully insert the folded wedge anchors into the holes until flush with the surface. Tighten the screws (C/D) into the wedge anchors until they are securely fastened into the mounting surface.

CHAIN MOUNT INSTALLATION

2A
Determine how high the fixture needs to be suspended. Attach the “V” hook (E) to the bottom loop of the chain (A) by fishing one end of the hook through the bottom loop. Remove any kinks out of the chain. Repeat on the other side.

2B
Insert both ends of the “V” hook (E) through the small rectangular slots along the top side of end caps and pivot the ends through the opening.

Chain Mount Installation

SURFACE MOUNT INSTALLATION

Locate the keyhole slots on the top side of the endcaps.

Surface Mount Installation

  1. Adjust the screws (D), leaving 1/8-in. clearance between the mounting surface and the back of the screwhead.
  2. Lift the fixture up to the mounting screws (D) and simultaneously guide the screw heads through the large round ends of the keyhole slots. Slide the fixture until the screwheads are captured in the keyhole slots. NOTE: If the fixture is loose, remove it and tighten each screw 1/4 turn and reattach.

POWER CORD INSTALLATION

  1. Insert the connector end of the power cord into the “power-in” port located on the end of the fixture with the slide dimmer. Make sure the plug is fully inserted into the port.
