WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS
WARNING: TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK, DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE INSTALLING
WARNING: DO NOT attempt to alter the fixture. The fixture is not
manufactured with parts that are serviceable or replaceable.
WARNING: BURN HAZARD! The fixture can be hot, allow cooling time prior to
touching.
WARNING: DO NOT ALTER THE PLUG OR CORD. The fixture uses a grounded plug
(2 contact blades and a grounding prong) to reduce the risk of electric shock.
The plug is designed to fit ONLY into a grounded electrical outlet. DO NOT
defeat this safety feature.
WARNING: Products should be installed following these instructions, local
electrical codes and/or the current National Electric Code (NEC). Electrical
requirements can be found on back of fixture.
WARNING: DO NOT use an extension cord. ONLY use power strips with
integral over current protection.
WARNING: DO NOT look directly at LED light source for any extended period
of time.
CAUTION: ONLY operate in areas with air temperatures ranging between -0°F
to 104°F (-18°C to 40°C).
CAUTION: ONLY route and secure the cords in a manner where they will not
be pinched or damaged. DO NOT hang items from cords.
CAUTION: DO NOT mount to surfaces with a thickness less than 1/4 in DO
NOT mount over sinks or stoves.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE THIS FIXTURE WITH A DIMMING CIRCUIT. This fixture is
not dimmable.
CAUTION: DO NOT leave bare wires exposed
Turn power off before servicing.
Indoor use only.
Suitable for damp locations
If unsure if the electrical box is properly grounded, or the box is plastic and has no ground wire, or are unfamiliar with the methods of properly grounding fixture, consult a qualified electrician.
PLUG-IN INSTALLATION
For hardwiring installation, please go to page 2.
WARNING: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL LED LIGHT BAR WHILE PLUGGED IN.
1A WOOD
WOOD INSTALLATION: Place fixture in mounting location to mark locations of mounting holes. Using a small drill or nail, make two small pilot holes at the marked locations. NOTE: Ensure mounting location is within 5 ft of an electrical outlet. Hold the fixture in the marked location and drive short screws (A) until they contact the bottom surface of the cabinet. The short screws (A) must be driven in straight for the fixture to mount properly. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN to prevent stripping the screw hole. Plug fixture into an electrical outlet.
1B DRYWALL
DRYWALL INSTALLATION: Place fixture in mounting location to mark locations of mounting holes. NOTE: Ensure mounting location is within 5 ft of an electrical outlet. Use a 1/4 in drill bit to drill out the mounting holes for the drywall anchors (B). Pinch the drywall anchor tips together, insert them into the mounting holes, push in until fully inserted and flush with the mounting surface. Drive the long screws (C) into the anchors (B) to securely fasten them into the mounting surface. Plug fixture into an electrical outlet.
HARDWIRE INSTALLATION
For plug-in installation, please go to page 1
**** TURN POWER OFF AT BREAKER BOX/FUSE BOX. TURN WALL SWITCH OFF
- Remove the access cover by loosening the locking screw and slide the keyhole slot over the screw head, until it reaches to the large end of the keyhole slot. As the access cover is removed from the fixture, the ends of the wires/wire connectors will be pulled out with it. Carefully pull the ends of the wires out.
- Determine which corresponding knock-out is closest to the supply wire feed and remove it. WITH SOME FORCE, CAREFULLY REMOVE THE KNOCK-OUT WITH A FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVER OR UNTIL THE SURFACE BREAKS. If the knock-out did not break free, use pliers and bend it back and forth until it snaps off.
- Attach the strain relief (E) by inserting the threaded end through the knock-out. Secure the strain relief (E) to the fixture by tightening the fastener to the threaded tube. NOTE: Remember to have the strain relief (E) screws oriented in a manner that allows tightening/loosening of the clamp after the fixture has been attached to the mounting surface.
- Insert a flexible whip or NM cable (not included) through the strain relief (E) and tighten the clamp until it is secure. Allow enough wire length to make the connection. WARNING: Make sure the POWER is OFF.
- For safety and proper operation, the fixture must be properly grounded. If unfamiliar with the methods of properly grounding the fixture, consult a qualified electrician. A copper ground wire is pre-attached to the fixture. If the electrical box is made of plastic and/or has a green or bare copper grounding wire inside, the fixture grounding wire and the electrical box ground wire should be connected using one of the wire nuts (D). If the fixture is being connected using a flexible whip or NM cable, the fixture grounding wire and the electrical supply ground wire should be connected using one of the wire nuts (D). Connect the supply leads to the fixture wire leads using the supplied wire nuts (D). The black leads from the fixture go to the black supply lead and the white leads from the fixture go to the white supply lead. Tighten the wire nuts (D) properly to prevent the wires from coming loose. If unsure of tightness, tape the wire nuts (D) to the wire using electrical tape. Carefully push any excess wiring back inside the fixture.
- Push excess wire back into the wire compartment in the fixture. Re-attach the access cover to the fixture.
