NOTE: Many newer models have B-pillar handles and even overhead on the ceiling that can be used for some of the top mounting locations. Check to see if you prefer to use these factory locations as the nets typically have enough adjustment to allow for this option. If your vehicle does not have handles in desired locations or you prefer to install mounting points for better fitment, please follow the below steps.
IMPORTANT: READ INSTRUCTIONS FULLY BEFORE STARTING
Time: 45 – 60 minutes
Paw Level: Tools:
- Drill
- Bit slightly smaller than #12 screw
- a 5/64 or similar Phillips Head Screwdriver or PH2 Bit
- Torx 20 bit or driver
- Sharpie
- Something to trim plastic, like snips or knife
Step 1
Remove and/or loosen upper trim panel in the front and rear. You will need to
remove the factory grab handle from front and rear on passenger side using the
Torx driver. Flip the plastic cover back on each size to access. Driver’s side
only has a rear handle to remove. Pop back pillar panel a bit to allow room to
work.
Step 2
Locate the best area to install the hardware. Just a little in front or behind
peg hold for the panel works well. Mark your hole with the Sharpie pen before
drilling. (Use peg on back of trim you removed and stick it in the top of the
seatbelt harness area as shown below to keep it out of your way). Drill hole.
We have installed this mount in two locations for different applications. For
shorter people and to always keep seats forward, drill your holds in FRONT of
the peg hold for the panel. If you like your seats pushed back all the way,
then we suggest drilling the hole further back. See photo for reference.
Step 3
Install hardware
Step 4
Reassemble front and rear upper trim, handles.
Make sure that ring sticks fully out of the top of the panel.
Step 5
Repeat for Driver’s side. Note that driver’s side doesn’t have a front grab
handle. You may want to cut out the right front area of the center pillar for
easier access when drilling.
Step 6
Reassemble driver’s side panels. Make sure your hardware is hanging over the
top.
Step 7
Loosely install the net on top mounts
Step 8
Loosely install the net on bottom by attaching to seat brackets. This will not
affect your seat sliding back and forth.
Step 9
Do a final adjusting and checking seat positioning and wrap and tuck all
excess ends.
