OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING The digital thermometer offers a safe, accurate, and quick temperature reading. You can measure your temperature through oral or underarm. Thoroughly read this instruction manual before using the digital thermometer. This thermometer is manufactured according to the system of EN 80601-2-56 and complies with the requirements of EN60601-1, and EN 60601-1-2. The manufacturer of this digital thermometer is ISO13485. And MDD 93/42/EEC certified

INFORMATION ON PREDICTIVE OFFSET

Although the generally accepted “normal” temperature is 37.0 can vary from 36.1 C{96.9″F) to 37.2 C{98.9″F) and still may be considered “normal”. Variations in temperature can be attributed to activities such as exercise, smoking, eating, and drinking. Even the time of day may influence your temperature. For example, your temperature is lower in the morning than in the afternoon. Other variations may be due to the location of the temperature reading. While the oral temperature follows the guidelines described above, an axillary (under the arm) temperature will be 0.5 C (1.0″F) lower.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES

To assure the correct use of the product basic safety, measures should always be followed including the precautions listed below.

WARNING

  • A high or prolonged fever requires medical attention, especially for young children. Please contact your doctor.
  • Carefully read and follow the enclosed instructions to ensure accurate temperature readings. Note that temperature readings are affected by many factors including physical exertion, the drinking of hot or cold beverages before measurement, as well as measuring technique.
  • Please keep still during measurement.
  • The use of temperature readings for self-diagnosis is dangerous. Consult with your doctor for the interpretation of results. Self-diagnosis may lead to the worsening of existing disease conditions.
  • This thermometer is used for taking temperatures through oral or underarm. Do not attempt to take temperatures at other sites, such as in the car, as it may result in false readings and may lead to injury.
  • Store the thermometer out of the reach of children. Do not allow children to take their temperatures unattended. Children may injure themselves when attempting to take temperatures without supervision.
  • Do not leave the battery, battery cap or probe cover where children can get to them. Children may swallow them. Should a child swallow the battery, battery cap or probe cover, contact a doctor immediately.
  • Do not attempt measurements when the thermometer is wet as inaccurate readings may result.
  • Do not repair or maintain the thermometer when in use
  • Please put a special trash can to recycle used batteries, and send them to a facility that specializes in disposing of used batteries, Do not discard them at will, otherwise they will pollute the environment and water sources.
  • Measurement results are affected by damage to probe or insufficient battery power
  • Do not place in high temperature, direct sunlight, and contact with any chemical solvent to prevent chemical changes and affect operation function
  • It takes at least 30 minutes for the product to get to normal working conditions at high or low temperatures

CAUTION

  • Do not bite on the thermometer. Doing so may lead to breakage and/or injury.
  • Do not share the thermometer among individuals.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the thermometer. Doing so may result in inaccurate readings.
  • Please do not repair the thermometer by yourself. Please contact the manufacturer or the manufacturer’ s representative when the thermometer reports an error and requires maintenance or needs guidance on setting operations.
  • Do not attempt to incinerate the battery. It may burst.
  • Pay attention to polarity(+-) when replacing the battery. Failure to do so may lead to fluid leakage, heat generation or bursting, resulting in damage to the unit.
  • Remove the battery when the thermometer will not be used for 3 months or more. Failure to do so may lead to fluid leakage, heat generation or bursting, resulting in damage to the unit.
  • Do not use mobile phones near the thermometer.
  • Do not use the thermometer in places where strong static electricity or electromagnetic fields are present. Doing so may lead to inaccurate readings and may contribute to instrument failure.
  • Do not step on the unit or the protective case.
  • Do not attempt to disinfect the sensing section of the thermometer by immersing in alcohol or in hot water (water over 50°C).
  • Contraindication: It is prohibited for infants and young children, mental disorders, coma, oral disorders, nose and mouth surgery, mouth breathing; trauma, surgery, inflammation under the armpit, a lot of sweating under the armpit, shoulder joint injury or weight loss, the thermometer is not tightly clamped to use the thermometer.
  • Degradation of sensor performance may result in inaccurate measurement, Please contact the manufacturer.

GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

  • The patient is the intended operator,Do not use the thermometer to measure anything other than human body temperatures.
  • Do not drop the thermometer and protective case or expose them to shock or vibration.
  • Do not store the thermometer in the protective case when it is damp. Wipe it off with a dry cloth first.
  • Avoid taking the temperature until after 30 minutes has lapsed after exercise, bathing or eating/drinking.

SWITCHING BETWEEN FAHRENHEIT/CELSIUS

In the off state, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius
HOW TO USE

  1. Press ON/OFF button to activate. The unit will beep and display. This LCD display test will go on for about 2 seconds.
  2. When Lo and flashing C(“F) displays, the thermometer is ready for temperature measuring.
  3. If the room temperature is higher than 32.0°C (89.6°F ), the room temperature will be displayed instead of Lo °C (Lo” F).
  4. The beep will sound when temperature measuring is complete. The degree sign of (“F) on the LCD will stop flashing.
  5. During measurement: LCD will display “Lo °C “or”Lo°F “. If the measured temperature is below 32.0 °C (89. 6°F ); The unit wi II display “H 1 °C “or”H l”F” if the measures tern perature is above 42.9°C/109.2″F.
  6. The thermometer will automatically turn off in about 10 minutes for energy-saving. It is suggested to press the On/Off button to turn the thermometer off once the temperature measuring is finished.
