GameBall Product Information

Getting Started
Watch the Getting Started video on the GameBall YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/GameBall Plug GameBall into an open USB port on your device. No special driver is required.

Switching Configuration
To switch between right-handed and left-handed configuration:

  1. Press and hold the Settings button (5) for 3 seconds.
  2. The RGB lighting will blink to indicate the configuration change.
  3. Follow the same procedure to switch back to the default configuration.

Adjusting Sensitivity
To adjust the sensitivity level:

  1. Press and hold the Precision button (9) for 3 seconds.
  2. The lights will blink to indicate each change in sensitivity.
  3. The default sensitivity is 800 CPI (Counts Per Inch).
  4. The highest sensitivity is 3000 CPI.
  5. To reduce sensitivity by 1/3, single-click the Precision button (9). Click again to return to normal sensitivity.

Optional Settings
To customize optional settings:

  • Swap buttons 2 & 3: Hold both buttons 2 and 3 down for 5 seconds. RGB lights will flash once for the default setting and twice when swapped.
  • Swap buttons 7 & 8: Hold both buttons 7 and 8 down for 5 seconds. RGB lights will flash once for the default setting and twice when swapped.
  • Scrolling when using the ball: Hold both buttons 1 and 9 (the middle buttons) down for 5 seconds. RGB lights will flash once for the default setting and twice when both are always active.
  • Adjust polling rate: Press and hold the RGB button (10) for 20 seconds to toggle between 1000Hz and 250Hz polling rate. RGB lights will flash once for 1000Hz and twice for 250Hz.
  • Change scrolling mode: Press the Settings button (5) to alternate between continuous and linear scrolling modes. RGB lights will flash once for Continuous mode and twice for Linear Scrolling.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with GameBall, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Unplug and then replug your GameBall.
  2. Reboot your computer.
  3. Test GameBall on another USB port or computer.
  4. Remove the ball and clean the area around the bearings of dirt and debris.

To get started with GameBall simply plug it into an open USB port and you are ready to go. No special driver is needed. will ship in a right-handed configuration. To change this, press and hold the Settings button (5) for 3 seconds. The RGB lighting will blink when switched. Follow the same procedure to switch back. GameBall has been tested and found to comply with the following electronic, health, safety, and disposal standards This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Default right-handed configuration
Reverse for left-handed

RGB Lighting = Red Green Blue color lighting
Tap to cycle color and light settings

To adjust the native sensitivity level press and hold the Precision button (9) for 3 seconds. If you continue to hold, it will cycle through all settings. Lights will blink to show

each change. CPI = Counts Per Inch (Cursor sensitivity).


1 Blink| 400 CPI – Slowest
2 Blinks| 800 CPI – Default
3 Blinks| 1200 CPI
4 Blinks| 2000 CPI
5 Blinks| 3000 CPI – Fastest
Precision Mode: A single click of the button (9) will reduce

the sensitivity by 1/3. Click again to return to normal.

Optional Settings

Swap buttons 2 & 3. To swap functions hold both buttons 2 and 3 down for 5 seconds. Your RGB lights will flash once for the default setting and twice when swapped. Swap buttons 7 & 8. To swap functions hold both buttons 7 and 8 down for 5 seconds. Your RGB lights will flash once for the default setting and twice when swapped. Scrolling when using the ball. By default, your scroll pads are disabled while using the ball, and your ball is disabled while scrolling. To have both always active, hold both buttons 1 and 9 (the middle buttons) down for 5 seconds. Your RGB lights will flash once for the default setting and twice when both are always active.

Adjust your polling rate down to 250Hz. This is suggested for users who experience sluggish or paused cursor movements. To toggle between these two settings, press and hold the RGB button (10) for 20 seconds. Your RGB lights will flash once when at 1000Hz or twice when at 250Hz. Change scrolling mode. The Settings button (5) is used to alternate between continuous (default) and linear scrolling modes. A single press will switch modes. Your RGB lights will flash once for Continuous mode and twice for Linear Scrolling

Maintenance & Safety – Once a month, or more based on use, you should remove the ball and clean the three support bearings of dirt and debris using a dry cloth or cotton swab. The exterior can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use soap, harsh cleaning agents, grease, or oils with GameBall. Keep GameBall away from liquid, high humidity, and moisture. Operate GameBall within the specific temperate range of 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F). Do not attempt to disassemble and service the device yourself (doing so will void your warranty). Follow standard ergonomic best practices while using GameBall. Take breaks and avoid long periods of continued use.

Warranty – The GameBall warranty covers defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for one year from the original date of purchase. Blue Sun Innovations, at its option, shall repair or replace the defective unit covered by this warranty. Except where prohibited by applicable law, this warranty is nontransferable and is limited to the original purchaser and the country in which the product was purchased. This Limited Warranty does not cover: normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage or abnormalities, including (without limitation), scratches, color fading, dents, and chips; damage caused from any unacceptable use or care of the product, including (without limitation) misuse, abuse, negligence, or any unauthorized modification, upgrade or repair; damage from external causes, including (without limitation), accidents, acts of God, liquid contact, fire or earthquake.

Limits of Liability – Blue Sun Innovations shall not be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages, including, but not limited to loss of data, lost revenues, lost profits, loss of software, downtime, damage to property, and third-party claims, arising out of any theory of recovery, including warranty, contract, statutory or tort. Repair or replacement of this product, as provided herein, is the exclusive remedy. In no event will Blue Sun Innovations’ entire liability exceed the purchase price of this product.
