PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING
The digital thermometer offers a safe, accurate and quick temperature reading. You can measure your temperature through oral or underarm. Thoroughly read this instruction manual before using the digital thermometer. This thermometer is manufactured according to the system of EN 80601-2-56 and compUes with the requirements of EN60601-1, EN 60601-1-2. The manufacturer of this digital thermometer is ISO13485 and MDD 93142/EEC certified

INFORMATION OF PREDICTIVE OFFSET

Although the generally accepted “normal” temperature is 37.0’C(98.6″F), temperatures can vary from 36.1t(96.9 “F) to 37.2″C(98.9″F) and still may be considered “normal”. Variations in temperature can be attributed to activities such as exercise, smoking, eating and drinking. Even time of day may influence your temperature. For example, your temperature is lower in the morning than in the afternoon. Other variations may be due lo the location of the temperature reading. While the oral temperature.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES

To assure the correct use of the product basic safety, measures should always be followed including the precautions listed below.

WARNING

  • A high or prolonged fever requires medical attention, especially for young children. Please contact your doctor.
  • Carefully read and follow the enclosed instructions to ensure accurate temperature readings. Note that temperature readings are affected by many factors including physical exertion, the drinking of hot or cold beverages before measurement, as well as measuring technique.
  • Please keep still during measurement.
  • The use of temperature readings for self-diagnosis is dangerous. Consult with your doctor for the interpretation of results. Self diagnosis may lead to the worsening of existing disease conditions.
  • This thermometer is used for laking temperatures through oral or underarm. Do not attempt to lake temperatures at other sites, such as in the car, as may result in false readings and may lead to injury.
  • Store the thermometer out of the reach of children. Do not allow children to take their temperatures unattended.
  • Children may injure themselves when attempting lo lake temperatures without supervision.
  • Do not leave the battery, battery cap or probe cover where children can get to them. Children may swallow them. Should a child swallow the battery, battery cap or probe cover, contact a doctor immediately.
  • Do not attempt measurements when the thermometer is wet as inaccurate readings may result.

  • Please put a special trash can to recycle used batteries, and send them to a facility that specializes in disposing of used batteries, Do not discard them at will, otherwise, they will pollute the environment and water sources.
  • Measurement results are affected by damage to the probe or insufficient battery power
  • Do not place in high temperature, direct sunlight, and contact with any chemical solvent to prevent chemical changes and affect operation function.
  • It lakes at least 30 minutes for the product to get to normal working condition at high or low temperatures
  • Donotblteonthe thermometer. Doing so may lead to breakage and/or injury.

CAUTION

  • Do not share the thermometer among individuals.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the thermometer. Doing so may result in inaccurate readings.
  • Please do not repair the thermometer by yourself. Please contact the manufacturer or the manufacturer’ s representative when the thermometer reports an error and requires maintenance or needs guidance on setting operations.
  • Do not attempt to incinarata tha battary. It may burst.
  • Pay attention to polarity(+ -)when replacing the battery. Failure to do so may lead to fluid leakage, heat generation or bursting, resulting in damage to the unit.

  • Contraindication: It is prohibited for infants and young children, mantel disorders, coma, oral disorders, nose and mouth surgery, mouth breathing; trauma, surgery, inflammation the armpit, a lot of sweating under the armpit, shoulder joint injury or weight loss, the thermometer is not tightly clamped to use the thermometer.

GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

  • The patient is the intended operator, Do not use the thermometer to measure anything other than human body temperatures.
  • Do not drop the thermometer and protective case or expose them to shock or vibration.
  • Do not store the thermometer in the protective case when it is damp. Wipe it off with a dry cloth first.
  • Avoid taking the temperature until after 30 minutes has lapsed after exercise, bathing or eating/drinking.

SWITCHING BETWEEN FAHRENHEIT/CELSIUS

In the off state,press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius

HOW TO USE

  1. Press ON/OFF button to activate. The unit will beep and display. This LCD display test will go on for about 2 seconds.
  2. When Lo and flashing “C(F) displays, the thermometer is ready for temperature measuring.
  3. If the room temperature is higher than 32.0°C(89.6°F’), the room temperature will be displayed instead of Lo°C(LoT ).
  4. The beep will sound when temperature measuring is complete. The degree sign of °C(°F) on the LCD will stop flashing.
  5. During measurement: LCD will display “Lo’C”or”Lo°F”. If the measured temperature is below 32.0°C (89.6°F); The unit will display “HI’C”or”HI’F” if the measures temperature is above 42.9°C/109.2°F.
  6. The thermometer will automatically turn off in about 10 minutes for energy-saving. It is suggested to press theOn/Off button to turn the thermometer off once the temperature measuring is finished.

ORAL USE

The mouth should remain closed up to 2 minutes before attempting a reading.

  • Place the probe tip in the mouth under the tongue so that it rests to the left or right of the root of the tongue.
  • Use downward tongue pressure to hold the thermometer in place.
  • Hold the thermometer to keep it from sliding around in the mouth.

The normal body temperature measured by this method is36.3°C-37.2°C(97.3°F-98.9°F) Approximate measuring time: 1 minute.

AXILLARY USE

Wipe the underarm with a dry towel and close your armpit at least 5 minutes before attempting a reading.

  • Place the probe tip under the arm so the tip is touching the skin with the thermometer perpendicular to the body.
    Position the arm across the chest so the probe tip is well covered by the arm.

  • The normal body temperature measured by this method is36.0°C-37.0°C (96.8 F -98.6°F

Approximate measuring time: 1 minute.
Note: Axillary temperatures are generally 0.5°C/1.0°F lower than oral readings.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

  1. When the appears in the lower right corner of the LCD, the battery is exhausted and need to be replaced.
  2. Pull the battery cap off with hand in the direction shown below.
  3. Gently pull out the circuit board with battery compartment approximately 1 cm.
  4. Remove the depleted battery with a pointed object such as a pen. Discard used batteries out of reach of children.
  5. Place a new 1.5V DC button size battery type LR41 or equivalent in the compartment with positive pole side faced up and negative pole side faced down
  6. Close the battery cover.

Caution
Lid, sealants, batteries are small parts, children should be noted that upon contact, do not inhale or swallow.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Before and after each use, clean the thermometer with a soft cloth and isopropanol diluted with water. Do not immerse the thermometer in fluids or sterilize with boiling method, gas or steam autoclave.
It is necessary to clean and disinfect the same unit between different users.
