  • Power supply.
  • Quick installation guide.

Product description

The 5 port unmanaged L2 Ethernet switch, provides stable and high-speed 10/100/1000 Mbps wired connections among the di! erent clients on the network. This device has multiple applications. It can be installed in a high demand workstation, providing full gigabit speeds as needed, while continuing to serve customers at their current speeds. It also allows the creation of a network from scratch, with link speeds adapted to the requirements of each user, being perfectly suited for entertainment, multimedia and other various applications that require moving large numbers of large files across the network. Another one of its characteristics is its backwards compatibility, allowing the adaptation of existing 10/100 Mbps Ethernet networks to backbone server networks. It has automatic MDI/MDIX detection, which allows each port to negotiate independently both its speed and its communication protocol (Full-Duplex or Half-Duplex).

Main Features

  • Plug & Play.
  • 5 10/100/1000 Mbps Auto-Negotiation RJ45 ports.
  • Full/Half-Duplex capacity on each TX port.
  • IEEE 802.3x Flow Control protocol, ensures stable connections between different speed standards.
  • MDIX function, allows automatic exchange of TX/RX.
  • Supports 8K MAC address tables.
  • LED indicators for management and diagnosis.
  • Width x height x depth: 172 x 28 x 88 mm.

Standards

  • IEEE 802.3 10Base-T.
  • IEEE 802.3u 100Base-TX.
  • IEEE 802.3ab 1000Base-T.
  • IEEE 802.3x Flow Control.

Working environment

Temperature

  • Operation temperature: 0ºC – 40ºC.
  • Storage temperature: -40ºC – 70ºC.

Humidity

  • Non-condensing operation humidity: 10 – 90%.
  • Non-condensing storage humidity: 5 – 95%.

LED indicators

LED indicators allow both monitoring and diagnosing the status of the switch. The function of each indicator is detailed below:

  • Power LED: this indicator lights solid green when the switch is turned on. If the LED does not light, it is necessary to check the power connection.
  • 100 Mbps Link/Active LED: this indicator lights solid green when the corresponding port is connected to a network. Blinks green when transmitting or receiving network data.
  • 1000 Mbps Link/Active LED: this indicator lights solid green when the corresponding port is working at 1000 Mbps.

  • Meets EC marking requirements
  • This product cannot be treated as normal domestic waste. It must be taken to a waste electrical and electronic equipment collection point (WEEE).

Troubleshooting

  • Power LED is not lit
Check if the power connector is connected properly. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the power supply.

  • Link LED is not lit.
Make sure the device’s network connection settings are correct and check that the drivers on the device’s network card are up to date.

  • Check the distance between connections.
Make sure that the connection distance between the switch and any other connected device, compatible with the IEEE 802.3 standard, does not exceed 100 m.

  • Performance is low.

  • Check the communication status between devices. If one device sets the Full-Duplex protocol but another device sets the Half-Duplex protocol, the performance of that link will be poor.

  • Make sure that the connections between the switch and the di! erent devices are made with CAT.5 or higher UTP cables.

  • Devices cannot communicate.

  • Check the status of the Link LED to make sure the devices are connected.

  • Make sure that the network settings of the devices are correct.

  • Reset the switch if necessary.
