Important notice about lithium polymer batteries

All discharge rates provided by manufacturers are the maximum values the battery can handle (regardless the cell cycle lifetime).
The cell cycle lifetime can be greatly enhanced, if you DO NOT draw the maximium performance out of the battery.

Read an follow these instructions before using LiPo batteries !
Do not exceed the suggested discharge rates as printed on the LiPo batterie.

LiPo batteries should not be dischraged more than 70% of their nominal capacity (e.c. if your battery has a capacity of 1000mAh you should draw a maximum of 700mAh from it). LiPo cells are very sensitive to undervoltage so never let the voltage drop below 2,6V per cell (5,2V on a 7,4V pack, 7,8V on a 11,1V pack, and so on…). Because the single cells in a pack do never have the same voltage and discharge behaviour, you should never use the shut off function to the fullest. Stop your motor when you feel a loss of power. The battery temperature after discharge may not exceed 60°C.

Carefully check the instructions printed on the LiPo batteries!
This LiPo Battery is equipped with a Balancer/Sensor Connector (white plug).
It allows you to use BALANCER –hardware (Equalizers) for single-cell charge. By doing so, you will match your cells to the same voltage level which leads to improved performance and lifetime.

Charging the battery – Only use specified LiPo Chargers !
This battery can accept up to 2C charging. However, the maximum charging current should not exceed 1C (=nominal Capacity) (e.c. if you like to charge your 1700mAh LiPo battery you have to adjust your LiPo –Charger to the maximum of 1700mAh and also select the suitable voltage rate (7,4V on a 7,4V battery, 11,1V on a 11,V battery, and so on…). Please make sure your charger is specially developed for LiPo batteries. NEVER USE chargers that are designed for NICAD, NIMH or others type of batteries. Never leave batteries unattended when charging.

Do not short-circuit!
This leads to very high currents, overheating that may result in burning or exploding. Although we did extensive testing in terms of burning, exploding, nail penetration and others, we can not guarantee that in some special cases on of these accidents will happen. So always be careful.

Attach firmly and handle with care!
Because of its lightweight and thin aluminum-foil construction a LiPo battery can be damaged by sharp or stitch things. So attach the battery into your model firmly and secure so even if your model crashes, the battery should be ok. When damaged, the battery could burn under some circumstances.

Do not dismantle or cut!
Do not try to dismantle LiPo batteries but give it to one of your local battery recycle stations.

Electrolyte is harmful!
If the battery pack becomes damaged and electrolyte gets into your eyes, contacts your skin and/or clothing then do not rub them. Rinse your eyes and/or skin and wash with clean running water and immediately seek medical attention. Otherwise, eye injury may result and skin inflammation can occur.

Do not allow to come in contact with water and/or other liquids! Keep away from children. If swallowed, call doctor immediately! Unattended storage in vehicles is strictly prohibited! Do not put in micro-wave or other heating device! Do not throw in fire and keep away direct sunlight and heat!

When your model is not in use, take out the battery and store in a cool and dry place on a non-flammable surface and environment. To avoid under voltage, switch off any components.
