EX-RELEVANT SAFETY REGULATIONS
Use of this device assumes that the operator observes the conventional safety regulations and has read and understood manual, safety instructions and certificate. The following safety regulations must also be complied with:

  • Inside ex-hazardous areas the covers of all interfaces (USB, ISM interface) must be closed.
  • To ensure the IP-protection, it has to be ensured that all gaskets are present and functional. There must be no large gap between the two halves of the housing.
  • The device may only be charged outside ex-hazardous areas.
  • Physical connections to IS330.2 are only allowed outside ex-hazardous areas using equipment approved by i.safe MOBILE GmbH.
  • The IS-HS1.1 or IS-HS1.2 headset or other accessories approved by i.safe MOBILE GmbH may be used within ex-hazardous areas only if connected to the ISM interface.
  • When using IS-HS1.1 or IS-HS1.2 headset or other accessories approved by i.safe MOBILE GmbH, the equipment must be securely fastened to the ISM interface.
  • The device may only be charged at ambient temperatures between +5°C … +35°C.
  • The device may not be exposed to any aggressive acids or alkalis.
  • The device may only be used in zones 2 or 22

EX-RELEVANT SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR NORTH AMERICA

Conditions of Acceptability

  • The battery may be charged outside explosion hazardous areas only using approved external adapter model ICP12-050-2000B with output rated 5Vdc, 2A or other external approved AC/
  • DC adapter which also complies with the requirements of LPS and has output rated 5Vdc, 2A.
  • The battery may be replaced with an identical one outside of the explosion hazardous areas only.
  • To ensure the IP64 protection, it has to be ensured that all gaskets are present and functional.
  • There must be no gap between the two halves of housing and between the battery cover and housing.
  • The USB interface (type C) located at the left side is for data transmission and it is used in non hazardous areas. It is not permitted to open the USB interface cover in hazardous locations.
  • The ISM interface of the device located at the right side can be used within hazardous areas with approved headsets, Remote Speaker Microphones(RSM) and add-ons.
  • For the ISM interface connection the intrinsically safe approved accessories must comply with entity parameters according to document 1029AD04 i.e. Headset IS-HS1.1 and IS-HS1.2 is approved to be used on ISM interface. If the ISM interface is not used, it must be securely closed by the cover provided for this purpose.
  • The device must be protected against excessive UV light emission and high electrostatic processes.
  • The device may only be charged at temperatures between +5°C … +35°C.

INFORMATION CONCERNING SAR CERTIFICATION (SPECIFIC ABSORBATION RATE)
Maximum SAR values for this model and the conditions under which these were determined:

  • SAR (head) 0.62 W/kg
  • SAR (body – worn) 0.93 W/kg

This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the handset kept 5 mm from the body

  • Use careful with the earphone maybe possible excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss.
  • CAUTION: RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE.
  • DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS.

  • The device shall only be connected via accessory authorised by i.safe MOBILE GmbH.

AC Adapter

  • Approved external adapter model ICP12-050-2000B (Input: AC100-240V 50/60Hz 0.3A;
  • Output: 5VDC, 2A) or other approved external AC/DC adapter which complies with the requirements of LPS (Limited Power Source) and has output rated 5VDC/2A.
  • Adapter shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
  • The plug is considered independent of the adapter.
  • The device complies with RF specifications when the device used at 0.5 cm from your body.
