WARNING
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.
NOTE

Unlock the Packaging Locks

  1. Rotate the packaging locks 90 degrees counterclockwise.
  2. Pull out the packaging locks.

WARNING:
Adult assembly is required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach of children.

CAUTION: Don’t bring this toy into contact with food.

GETTING STARTED

BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

  1. Make sure the unit is turned Off.
  2. Find the battery cover located on the back of the unit, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover.
  3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
  4. nstall 2 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended.)

IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION

  • Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
  • Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
  • Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
  • Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
  • Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
  • Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:

  • Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging.
  • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
  • Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

PRODUCT FEATURES

  1. Off/Low/High Volume Selector Slide the Off/Low/High Volume Selector to turn the toy on and select the volume.
  2. Food Buttons Press the Food Buttons for silly color phrases, food phrases, music and, step-by-step recipes.
  3. Temperature Dial Twist the Temperature Dial for lively number phrases and to trigger the Face Plate’s “bubbling water” motion.
  4. Motion-Sensing Pot Drop food into the Pot or stir it to trigger playful sounds, music, counting and learning phrases.

ACTIVITIES

Food Buttons
Press a Food Button several times in a row to hear a recipe suggestion. The pot will provide simple step-by-step instructions.
Recipes include:
Broccoli With Cheese:

  1. The pot “adds” the cheese.
  2. Chop the broccoli and drop it into the pot.
  3. Turn the number dial to 1.
  4. Stir while the pot counts to ten.

Corn on the Cob:

  1. Chop the corn and drop it into the pot.
  2. urn the number dial to 2.
  3. Press the yellow button.

Carrot Soup:

  1. Chop the carrot and drop it into the pot.
  2. Turn the number dial to 3.
  3. Stir while the pot counts to three.

Spaghetti Sauce:

  1. Chop the tomato and drop it into the pot.
  2. Turn the number dial to 4.
  3. Stir when the pot says, “Stir!” Stop when the pot says, “Stop!”

Listen for the special “Rainbow Soup” and “Spice It Up!” recipes that may play after any Food Button touch. Have your spoon and knife nearby and be ready to cook!

Motion-Sensing Pot

Drop play food into the pot or stir to hear fun responses. Various activities may be triggered:

  • “Stir me up while I count to 5!”
  • “Let’s make a splash! Drop some veggies in me!”
  • “Stir me up while I count to 10!”
  • “Let’s spice it up!”
  • “Let’s make rainbow soup!”
    Follow the pot’s instructions to complete these activities and hear encouraging and rewarding responses.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

  1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
  2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
  3. Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
  4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:

  1. Please turn the unit Off.
  2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
  3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
  4. Turn the unit On. The unit should now be ready to play again.
  5. If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
