Tech Notes
DO NOT OVER-TORQUE THE U-BOLT NUTS.

Bump Pads are not directional.

Approx install time = 30 minutes

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY FROM START TO FINISH BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION!

  1. Installing the Bump Pads. On the driver side, unbolt the brake and parking cable bracket from the spring perch. Using that bolt, thread the hole on the front of the driver side perch. This step is not needed on the passenger side perch as that hole is already threaded.
  2. Align one of the Bump Pads on the driver side perch. Bump Pads are not directional. Install (1) M8-1.25 bolt and M8 washer set on the front and (1) set on the rear of the Bump Pad, leaving loose for now. Be sure to place the brake bracket back when installing the Bump Pad.SDHQ-13-1401-G2-2017-2020-Ford-Raptor-Bump-Pad-FIG-3
  3. Place the U-bolt under the axle and install into the Bump Pad using the 3/8” lock nut and 3/8” washer. Torque to 25 ft-lbs or until the pad is in full contact with the axle, BUT DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. Torque the M8 hardware to 25 ft-lbs.
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 for the passenger side. Be sure to place the ABS/parking cable bracket on the outside of the spring perch when installing the passenger Bump Pad.SDHQ-13-1401-G2-2017-2020-Ford-Raptor-Bump-Pad-FIG-5
  5. Installing U-Bolt Plates. Align the U-Bolt Plate holes with the Deaver leaf spring center pins before installing the U-Bolts. Bolt the U-Bolts once the U-Bolt Plates are set properly as pictured below
  • Double check all hardware is installed correctly and tight***
  • Re-torque ALL bolts after 100 miles***
