Please read the operating manual carefully before getting started!
Before the first start, fill the crankcase with engine oil.
To do this, proceed as follows:
- Unscrew the oil dipstick.
- Use a funnel to fill the crankcase with engine oil (SAE 10W-30, SAE 10W-40).
- The oil level should be equal to the level in the filler neck.
Check the oil level in the crankcase.
To do this, proceed as follows:
- Insert the dipstick without screwing it in.
- Check the oil level by a mark on the oil dipstick. It must be between the MIN and MAX marks.
- Add fresh oil if its level is below the lower mark.
- Tighten the oil dipstick.
Fill the fuel tank with diesel fuel.
- Check the fuel level on the fuel level sensor.
- Tighten the fuel cap securely.
- The type of diesel fuel must comply with the operating season.
Connect the terminals to the battery ensuring the correct polarity (“plus” to
“plus”, “minus” to “minus”).
Set the emergency engine switch to START (ON).
During the first start-up, be sure to bleed air from the fuel system.
To do this, proceed as follows:
-
Remove the protective rubber plug on the top of the generator.
-
Hold down the compression release lever.
-
Turn the start key to the “START” position and hold it in this position for several seconds.
-
After 2-3 seconds, release the compression release lever without releasing the start key.
-
After the engine starts, release the start key for it to return to the “ON” position.
After starting the generator, wait 1-2 minutes before connecting the load.
Then turn the safety switch on the generator panel to the “ON” position.
To start the generator in winter, turn the start key to the “START” position
by holding the “HEAT” heating button on the generator panel.
