THIS APPLIANCE CAN BE USED BY CHILDREN AGED FROM 8 YEARS AND ABOVE AND PERSONS WITH REDUCED PHYSICAL, SENSORY OR MENTAL CAPABILITIES OR LACK OF EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE IF THEY HAVE BEEN GIVEN SUPERVISION OR INSTRUCTION CONCERNING USE OF THE APPLIANCE IN A SAFE WAY AND UNDERSTAND THE HAZARDS INVOLVED. CHILDREN SHALL NOT PLAY WITH THE APPLIANCE. CLEANING AND USER MAINTENANCE SHALL NOT BE MADE BY CHILDREN WITHOUT SUPERVISION.

  • Do not vacuum materials that are harmful to one’s health, e. g. dust from beech or oak wood, masonry dust, asbestos. These materials are considered carcinogenic. Inform yourself about the valid regulations/laws for your country concerning the handling of materials that are hazardous to one’s health.
  • Use the vacuum cleaner only when you fully understand and can perform all functions without limitation, or have received appropriate instructions. A thorough  introduction reduces operating errors and injuries.
  • The vacuum cleaner is suitable only for vacuuming dry materials. The penetration of liquids increases the risk of an electric shock.
  • The vacuum cleaner may only be used and stored indoors. The penetration of rain or moisture into the vacuum cleaner lid increases the risk of an electric shock.
  • Do not vacuum hot or burning dusts, and in rooms with an explosion hazard. Dusts can ignite or explode.
  • Remove the battery pack from the vacuum cleaner before maintaining or cleaning, making any adjustments, changing accessories or placing the vacuum cleaner aside. This safety measure prevents accidental starting of the vacuum cleaner.
  • Provide for good ventilation at the working place.
  • Have the vacuum cleaner repaired only through qualified specialists and only using original spare parts. This ensures that the safety of your vacuum cleaner is maintained.
  • Do not clean the vacuum cleaner with a water jet pointed directly at it. The penetration of water into the vacuum cleaner lid increases the risk of an electric shock.
  • When the vacuum cleaner is not in use, store it securely.
  • The storage place must be dry and lockable. This prevents the vacuum cleaner being damaged when it is stored or being used by inexperienced people.
  • The device is not suitable for commercial or industrial use.
  • Do not use for vacuuming up damp substances or liquids.
  • Do not use for vacuuming up ash or soot.
  • Do not use for vacuuming up building rubble.

SAFETY WARNINGS FOR BATTERY
a) Do not open the battery. Danger of shortcircuiting.
b) Protect the battery against heat, e. g., against continuous intense sunlight, fi re, water, and moisture. Danger of explosion.
c) In case of damage and improper use of the battery, vapours may be emitted. Ventilate the area and seek medical help in case of complaints. The vapours can irritate the respiratory system.
d) Use the battery only in conjunction with your Vonroc product. This measure alone protects the battery against dangerous overload.
e) The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such as nails or screwdrivers or by force applied externally. An internal short circuit can occur and the battery can burn, smoke, explode or overheat.

SAFETY WARNINGS FOR CHARGER
Intended use
Charge only CD801AA and CD803AA type rechargeable Battery packs with the charger. Other types of batteries may burst causing personal injury and damage.
a) Do not recharging non-rechargeable batteries!
b) During charging, batteries must be placed in the well ventilated area!

Intended use
The handheld vacuum cleaner is suitable for dry vacuuming with the aid of the accompanying fi lter.
The vacuum is not intended for the vacuuming of fl ammable, explosive or hazardous dusts. The vacuum cleaner may only be used and stored indoors, In private households and in enclosed spaces in a domestic environment at room temperature. The device is not suitable for commercial or industrial use.

ASSEMBLY

Before any work on the power tool, remove the battery.
The battery must be charged before fi rst use.
Inserting the battery into the machine (Fig. B)
**** Ensure that the exterior of the battery is clean and dry before connecting to the charger or machine.

  1. Insert the battery (4) into the base of the machine as shown in Fig. B.
  2. Push the battery further forward until it clicks into place.

Removing the battery from the machine (Fig. B)

  1. Push the battery unlock button (5).
  2. Pull the battery out of the machine like shown in Fig. B.

Checking the battery charging status (Fig. C)

  • To check the battery charge status, push the button (18) on battery shortly.
  • The battery has 3 lights indicating the charge level, the more lights that burn, the more charge the battery has left.
  • When the lights are not burning it means the battery is empty and must be charged immediately.

Charging the battery with the charger (Fig. C)

  1. Take the battery (4) from the machine.
  2. Turn the battery (4) to upside down position and slide it onto the charger (20) as shown in Fig. C.
  3. Push the battery until it is fully pushed into the slot.
  4. Plug the charger plug into an electrical outlet and wait for a while. The LED indicators on the charger (21) will lighten up and show the charger status.

The charger has 2 LED indicators (21) which indicate the status of the charging process:

  • Fully charging the 2Ah battery may take up to 60 minutes.
  • Fully charging the 4Ah battery may take up to 120 minutes.

After the battery is fully charged remove the charger plug from the outlet and remove the battery from the charger.
**** When the machine is not being used over a longer period of time it is best to store the battery in charged condition.

Assembly of the nozzles (Fig. D)
Either assembly the nozzles (9, 10 or 12) directly to the suction opening (13) of the machine or use the extension tube (8).
Floor nozzle (12)
The fl oor nozzle is designed for domestic dry vacuuming in, for example, the house, workroom, or car.
Joint nozzle (10)
The joint nozzle is designed for domestic dry vacuuming, edges and other areas that are diffi cult to access.
Cushion nozzle (9)
The cushion nozzle is designed for domestic dry vacuuming, for example cushion of sofa’s or textile furniture.
Accessories holder for storage (11)
Put the vacuum cleaner accessories in the provided holder on the vacuum cleaner.

OPERATION

Note: Regular emptying of the dust cup and cleaning of the fi lter assembly ensures optimal vacuum capacity.
Switching the machine on/off (Fig. A)

  • To switch on the vacuum cleaner, move the On/ Off switch (2) forwards (direction ON).
  • To switch off the vacuum cleaner, move the On/ Off switch (2) backwards (direction OFF).

MAINTENANCE

** Before cleaning and maintenance, always switch off the machine and remove the battery pack from the machine.
Clean the machine casings regularly with a soft cloth, preferably after each use. Make sure that the ventilation openings are free of dust and dirt. Remove very persistent dirt using a soft cloth moistened with soapsuds. Do not use any solvents such as gasoline, alcohol, ammonia, etc.
Chemicals such as these will damage the synthetic components.
Cleaning the Dust Cup (Fig. E1, E2)**
To maintain the optimum performance of the vacuum cleaner, clean the dust cup (7) after each use.

  • Press release button (2) and remove the dust cup (7) from the motor housing (6).

  • Remove the fi lter assembly (14) from the dust cup.

  • Shake/tap out the dust cup (7) over a suitable waste bin.
    If required, clean the dust cup with a moist cloth.
    If required, clean the fi lter assembly (see “Cleaning the Filter Assembly”).

  • Reinsert the fi lter assembly (14) into the dust cup (7).
    Afterwards, hang the dust cup at the bottom into the motor housing, apply light pressure until the dust cup can be heard to engage.

Cleaning the Filter Assembly (Fig. F1, F2)

  • Press release button (2) and remove the dust cup (7) from the motor housing (6).

  • Remove the filter assembly (14) from the dust cup.

  • Remove the filter cover part 1 (15) from the filter seal (16).

  • Remove the filter cover part 2 (22), take out the filter (17) out of fi lter cover part 1 (15).
    If necessary, you can wet clean the fi lter (17): Clean it under running water without any cleaning detergent, squeeze out the fi lter (17) and allow the fi lter to dry well in order to avoid the formation of mould.

  • Assembly is carried out in reverse order.

MALFUNCTIONS
In the case of insuffi cient vacuuming performance, check the following:

  1. Is the dust cup (7) full?
    • See “Cleaning the Dust Cup”.

  2. Is the fabric fi lter (17) clogged with dust?
    • See “Cleaning the Filter Assembly”.

  3. Is the capacity of the battery pack too low?
    • See “Checking the battery charging status”.
    Regular emptying of the dust cup (7) and cleaning of the fi lter assembly (14) ensures optimal vacuum capacity.

ENVIRONMENT

**** Faulty and/or discarded electrical or electronic apparatus have to be collected atthe appropriate recycling locations. Only for EC countries
Do not dispose of power tools into domestic waste. According to the European Guideline 2012/19/EC for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment and its implementation into national right, power tools that  are no longer usable must be collected separately and disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.

WARRANTY

VONROC products are developed to the highest quality standards and are guaranteed free of defects in both materials and workmanship for the period lawfully stipulated starting from the date of original purchase. Should the product develop any failure during this period due to defective material and/or workmanship then contact VONROC directly.
The following circumstances are excluded from this guarantee:

  • Repairs and or alterations have been made or attempted to the machine by unauthorized service centers;
  • Normal wear and tear;
  • The tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained;
  • Non-original spare parts have been used.

This constitutes the sole warranty made by company either expressed or implied. There are no other warranties expressed or implied which extend beyond the face hereof, herein, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In no event shall VONROC be liable for any incidental or consequential damages. The dealers remedies shall be limited to repair or replacement of nonconforming units or parts.
