READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THIS MANUAL BEFORE USE

WARNING

Not for use with aggressive dogs. Do not use this product if your dog is aggressive, or if your dog is prone to aggressive behavior. If you are unsure whether this product is appropriate for your dog, please consult your veterinarian or certified trainer.

• For use with dogs over 6 months of age and over 8 lbs.
• DO NOT use when the dog or the collar is/ are wet.
• Your dog should not vocalize or panic when receiving stimulation. If this happens, the stimulation level is too high, and you need to go back to the previous level and repeat the process.
• DO NOT charge the device near any flammable substances.
• This is not a toy, not for use on children. For dog use only. Should only be operated by responsible adult.

CAUTION

For on leash training. Do not attach leash to bark collar. Use a regular collar in addition to the bark collar. Risk of skin damage. Please read and follow the instructions in this manual. Proper fit of the collar is important. A collar worn for too long or fitted too tightly on the dog’s neck may cause skin damage ranging from redness to pressure ulcers; this condition is commonly known as bed sores.

• Do not leave the collar on the dog for more than 12 hours per day.
• When possible, re-position the collar on the dog’s neck every 1 to 2 hours.
• Check the fit to prevent excessive pressure; follow the instructions in this manual.
• Never connect a leash to the electronic collar; it will cause excessive pressure on the contacts.
• Wash the dog’s neck area and the contacts of the collar weekly with a damp cloth.
• Examine the contact area daily for signs of a rash or a sore.
• If a rash or sore is found, discontinue use of the collar until the skin has healed. If the condition persists beyond 48 hours, see your veterinarian.
• Bark collar meets IP67 waterproof rating; it can be submerged into water up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. If submerged and wet, please do not use.
• This product comes with conductive silicone covers, please ensure they are worn on the contact points before putting the receiver on your dog and check for presence silicon of cover every hour.

These steps will help keep your dog safe and comfortable. Some dogs are sensitive to contact pressure. You may find after some time that your dog is very tolerant of the collar. If so, you may relax some of these precautions. It is important to continue daily checks of the contact area. If redness or sores are found, discontinue use until the skin has fully healed.

Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery Warning:

• Do not disassemble battery compartment.
• Product contains a non-replaceable battery. If battery is exposed or removed, please ensure that the batteries are properly disposed of in accordance with your local waste rules regulations.
• Discontinue use if the product is damaged.
• Please ensure that product with batteries are properly disposed of in accordance with your local waste rules regulations.
• If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
• Batteries should be charged prior to use. Charge only with specified charger.
• Don’t store product with battery in temperature over 60°C/140°F.

Test The Product

1A. Charge the Bark Control Collar before use.

Charge only with specified 5V charger for 2-3 hours.

Notes.

1. Improper charger means chargers with output voltage over 5V.
2. Output voltage usually can be seen on surface of charger.

1 B. Power on the Bark Control Collar.

Press and hold the button for 2 seconds to power on.

Indicator will blink after device is powered on.
1 C.Set the Bark Control Collar to Test Mode, the display will show digit 0. After that, imitate dog barking towards the microphone sensor located at the back of the product.

Press the power button to get to Test Mode, make sure the digit shows O before test.

1 D. The Bark Control Collar responds at Test Mode:

When the device is set on Test Mode, whether the mode indicator is on  it will activate the warning tone, vibrate then deliver static shock after you shout towards the microphone sensor.
Hold the Test Bulb Tool on the contact points when test shock function.

Notes: The hexagon hole on the Test Bulb Tool can be used to fasten or unfasten the Probes to the Contact Points.
1 E. Power off the Bark Control Collar:

Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to power off.

Indicator will be off after device is powered off.
If the product responds as described above, you’ve succeeded at setting the bark collar up properly.

Fit The Product on Your Dog

2A. Attach the strap to the bark collar.
Follow the A-B-C-D steps instructed to thread the collar.

2B. Fit the product on your dog.

Please ensure to fit the product snugly, yet loose enough to allow one finger to fit between the strap and your dog’s neck.
GREAT! Now you have successfully put the Bark Control Collar on your dog and they are ready for training.

Mode Setting

The following instruction will guide through the process of switching modes.

Power on the device by pressing and holding the Power Button for 2 seconds.| Mode indicator will display after device is powered on.
Press the Mode Button to switch Mode Indicator.| Green Mode Indicator means Tone + Vibration Mode.
Red Mode indicator means Tone + Vibration + Shock Mode.

Level 5 is the most sensitive, level 1 is the least.
Press the power button to change the sensitivity level.
| SOLID| will become solid after operating Power/Set Button or Mode Button. & will be off and / becomes blinking after no operation for 15 seconds.

| Test Mode| Press the Power Button to get to Test Mode. Display shows digit 0 when it is set on Test Mode, it will automatically display digit 5 after the test completes or test is not conducted within 5 seconds.
| Protection Mode| Protection mode lasts 30 seconds, during which it cannot be triggered in order to prevent over shock to your pet.
Protection Mode will be canceled and the digit turn to set level after 30 seconds automatically or after you press the Power Button.

How It Works

Note: There are 5 sensitivity levels, Level 1-5, the higher the selected level the more sensitive the collar will be to sound.

Frequently Asked Questions & Answers

Q: Why doesn’t the product work when the dog barks?****

– A: Please first ensure to fit the product snugly, yet loose enough to allow one finger to fit between the strap and your dog’s neck. Some dogs have weak barking, in this case you will need to level up the sensitivity level. Thick coat on the neck area may also have small chance to decrease the sensing from the barking, trim the coat near the area where you place the product.

Q: Why is the product triggered sometimes in a noisy environment though the dog isn’t barking?****

– A: Though we have optimized the barking detection to functionality, some environment noises may have similar frequency of a barking dog, which may potentially activate the product. In this case lowering the sensitivity level can eliminate this.

Q: Can I use the product when there are other dogs playing around?****

– A: Dogs will bark when playing and get excited, for the comfort and safety of your pet, we don’t suggest using this product in such environment.

Q: How do I know if I can use this product for my pet?****

– A: The product is designed for healthy dogs over 6 months old, weighing no less than 8 pounds. Most importantly, this product cannot be used on unhealthy or aggressive dogs, and if you are unsure whether this product is appropriate for your pet, please consult your veterinarian or a certified trainer.

Q: Can this product stop my dog’s howl?****

– A: No, this Bark Control Collar is designed to detect the barking only. It cannot detect or stop the howling.

Q: Can I charge this product with any type of charger?****

– A: No, we recommend to use a charging adapter rated at 5V/500-1 OOOmA because a charging adapter rated at 9Vor12 V may cause damage to your device. The product will stop charging automatically if input voltage becomes too high and deliver a warning tone.

Q: Will my dog stop barking completely?****

– A: The Bark Control Collar effectively and humanely stops all barking when it is worn. It should only be worn during periods of unwanted barking.

Q: Is the Bark Control Collar safe and humane?****

– A: Yes. The Bark Control Collar is designed to get your dog’s attention, not to punish them. However, the initial static shock correction may startle your dog.
