How do I know when to recharge my dehumidifier?
The dehumidifier will turn itself off when the moisture level in the air has been reduced to approximately 40%. However, you can also check the moisture level by using the included hygrometer. When the relative humidity is below 40%, simply plug your dehumidifier into a standard electrical outlet and let it recharge. When it is fully charged, it will automatically switch itself on again.
How long does it take to recharge my dehumidifier?
It takes about 12 hours to fully recharge your dehumidifier. If you are in a rush, you can use the included 12-volt car charger to recharge your dehumidifier in about 4 hours.
How do I clean my dehumidifier?
Your Eva-Dry E-333 Dehumidifier is easy to clean. Simply wipe down the outside with a damp cloth and then let it air dry. The inside of your dehumidifier should never need cleaning because it is constructed of high-quality materials that are designed to protect against mold and bacteria growth. However, if you would like to wipe down the inside of your Eva-Dry E-333 Dehumidifier, simply use a damp cloth and mild soap or detergent (never use bleach or abrasive cleaners). Then let it air dry before putting it back into service.
How long will my dehumidifier last?
Your Eva-Dry E-333 Dehumidifier will last for years if you care for it properly. To ensure that you get many years of use out of your Eva-Dry E-333 Dehumidifier, we recommend that you follow these simple care instructions: Never store your Eva-Dry E-333 Dehumidifier in an area where temperatures drop below freezing (32° F). Avoid direct sunlight as much as possible. Do not expose your Eva-Dry E-333 Dehumidifier to excessive moisture or water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or bleach on any part of the dehumidifier. Never pull on the power cord when unplugging from an electrical outlet. Always grasp the plug itself and pull firmly from the outlet.
Does this function without a step down transformer on 220-230v?****
When the beads become blue, you are expected to unplug it and put it back in the area you want to dehumidify. It plugs into an 110v outlet, warms up by itself to evaporate any moisture that might get trapped in it, and then you are intended to plug it back in. It is a passive dehumidifier in that sense. Additionally, this product is “passive” in that it does not “work” at all to dehumidify the 10 cubic foot space that I tested it in. This product does nothing but hang there as the beads change colors, according to my hygrometer.
When I plugged in to recharge, why didn’t the beads turn back orange?****
Would advise calling the manufacturer and hearing their response. I’ve already completed my own twice. Did you leave it plugged in for the required 24-48 hours to revive the beads?
Can you leave Eva-Dry plugged in? How much electricity does it use?****
It should not be plugged in for longer than 18 hours, according to the instructions. When it is drying out, it does get quite heated. I believe that if you leave it plugged in longer than is advised, it might overheat and break. It doesn’t take long to recharge, and depending on the humidity level in your area, it doesn’t need to be recharged for at least a week or two. I’m not sure how much electricity it uses throughout this process.
Is the indicator’s alteration permanent? When I received mine, it was a dark pink color. No modification after charging.****
CHARGING it for eight to twelve hours an indication that is completely charged and ready to use should be dark blue. Send the malfunctioning equipment back for a replacement if it doesn’t change the color. Mine runs flawlessly.
How long is the e- wireless small dehumidifier expected to operate?****
My possession dates back about two years.
Does this function at temperatures above 35 but below 40? I need it for my truck that is parked outside in the Pacific Northwest where it is frequently 40 degrees or higher.****
It still functions properly even though it does fall below 40 degrees outside in my outside shed. But keep in mind that humidity is its primary target, not colder weather.

Is it normal that neither of them now charges?****
This sort of thing is better appropriate for a secure room.
How does this compare to the charcoal moisture-absorbing products that you can buy?****
When the colour changes, plug it in to eliminate the moisture, and it is then ready to use once more. This absorbs moisture.
Should I purchase a new device to operate in the same area if my unit needed recharging after 14 days? (It is behind a washer and dryer in a closet)****
I don’t believe it is required because the recharge only takes about 10 hours. After a few months, mine stopped operating, or at least the beads stopped changing colours to indicate the level of refresh. The product is supposed to be covered by a 5-year warranty, but Eva-Dry has yet to provide a replacement.
