PRODUCT OPERATION

  1. View beads in the indicator window of the unit. If the indicator beads are orange, the unit is ready to use. If the indicator beads are green, the unit needs to be renewed.
  2. Place the unit in the desired location to begin absorbing moisture.
  3. Monitor indicator beads roughly once a month (4-6 weeks) for color transition from orange to green.
  4. Once indicator beads turn green, it is time to renew the unit.
  5. To renew, simply fold down the hidden plug and plug the unit into a power strip (avoid the use of extension cords). Ensure the unit is sitting upright in a room with good airflow for 16 to 18 hours (approximately). Be sure to maintain a minimum of 24”-36” of open space around the unit as the unit will release heat and moisture vapor while plugged in.
  6. DO NOT hang the unit from hooks while plugged in for renewal. Make sure there are no obstructions or contact with any other objects during the renewal process. DO NOT cover the unit. DO NOT leave the unit plugged in for more than 18 hours.
  7. Once renewed, indicator beads will return to orange and the unit will be ready to absorb moisture again.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where are the lights?
There are no lights on the unit. The indicator window contains colorchanging beads that indicate when the unit needs to be renewed.

Does the unit need batteries or need to be plugged in to absorb moisture?
No, the unit absorbs moisture without power, plugs, or batteries. Once you remove the unit from its packaging it will start absorbing moisture. There is no ON/OFF switch on the unit. The only time the unit needs to be plugged in is when it needs to be renewed by drying it out.

When renewing the unit, is it normal for it to warm up?
Yes, when you plug the unit in to dry it out, it will warm up. This is how the unit is renewed. The heat allows the clear silica gel inside the unit to expel the moisture it has absorbed. Make sure to is in a well-ventilated area during renewal and DO NOT cover the unit.

I see water droplets in the indicator window. Is that normal?
Yes. The unit absorbs moisture. That moisture is released during the drying process. It is normal for released moisture to appear as small water droplets in the indicator window.

How long does it need to be plugged in to completely dry out?
The time will vary based on atmospheric conditions. We recommend you leave the unit plugged in overnight. The unit should not be plugged in for more than 18 hours.
