Replace Lamp with Philips TUV PL-L 36 Watt Lamp model only. -

Use Only a Fuse Rated 5 Amps, 120Volts. -
CAUTION : CONNECT THE PRODUCT TO A 120Vac/60Hz POWER SOURCE. ANY OTHER CONNECTION VOIDS THE WARRANTY.

CAUTION: THIS EQUIPMENT SHOULD BE INSPECTED AND AIR PASSAGEWAYS SHOULD BE CLEANED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER’S INSTRUCTIONS ON A REGULAR BASIS TO PREVENT EXCESSIVE ACCUMULATION OF DUST PARTICLES THAT CAN RESULT IN FLASHOVER OR A RISK OF FIRE.

IMPORTANT: Recommend utilizing two people for installation. The National Occupation Safety and Health organization strongly recommends that no worker should lift anything heavier than 35 pounds without additional aid. The 2×2 model weight is approximately 36 pounds and the 2×4 model weight is approximately 49 pounds including panel lights.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Warnings and Instructions for the TUV UV-C lamps (Instructions by Philips)
- UV-C radiation is harmful for eyes and skin, therefore people and animals should always avoid direct exposure to UV-C. When installing the lamps make sure the installation manual of the device is followed and lamps are not switched ON during installation. All Philips TUV lamps have warning text and signs on the boxes and individual packaging.
- Materials that are exposed to UV-C for a long time may become damaged and/or discolored.
- Our UV-C sources are not intended and shall not be used in applications or activities which may cause death, personal injury and/or damage to the environment.
Safe Use instructions how to handle a broken UV-C bulb (Instructions by Philips)
- Evacuate people and animals from the room.
- Ventilate the room for at least 15 minutes prior to starting the clean up.
- Wear personal protective equipment such as (disposable) gloves, safety glasses.
- Collect the broken pieces and debris with two pieces of stiff paper or cardboard.
- Use sticky tape to pick up any remaining fine glass or powder.
- Clean the area after collecting the debris with a damp cloth or towel to remove any residual particles.
- Collect all the pieces and debris in a sealable container (glass) and dispose of as special waste.
Installation instructions
Un box and perform steps 1 thru 5 on the ground. Skip Step 2 to Step 4 if supplied with panel Light pre-installed.

Diss-assemble the support frame from the housing frame.

Diss-assemble one end of the housing frame by removing (4) screws (the end next to the wiring box).

Slide flat panel fixture into frame and make wiring connections per the Wiring section of installation instructions.

Reassemble the end by using the (4) screws removed in Step 2.

Assemble the (4) earthquake proof hooks by using the screws (hardware kits bag).

Rotate support frame 45° and slide it through the ceiling grid.
Frame adjustment: The Support frame is angled in to allow for the T-Grid hanging wires. If more space is needed between the support frame and the T-Grid to allow room for the wrapped hanging wire, the support frame can be bent in the area needed with pliers. -
Secure the (4) short safety wires to support frame, allow these to hang down in the frame opening when the frame is installed in ceiling (see step 8).
Attach the (4) adjustable hanger wires to the support frame with the clip ends. Attach the (4) hanger wires to the building structure that supports the T-Grid ceiling. -
Raise up the main housing and use the clips to secure the other ends of the short safety wires to it. Then align the housing to the support frame, raise up and attach per step 9.

Secure the UV Air Panel fixture to the support frame from the top by screws each side.

Make wiring connections per the Wiring section of installation instructions.

Rotate the (4) earthquake proof hooks outward to engage with T-bar support grid.

Adjust the length/tightness by pulling the wire end per the ‘Hanger wire instructions’.
Adjust the hanger wire tightness to support the frame and main housing fully.
Wiring instruction
- Make electrical connections as follows: Black – Line
- White/Blue – Neutral
- Green/Yellow Green – Ground
Note: This fixture for 120VAC ONLY
Two ways for power Connection:
- Wire together with the Light Fixture (Recommended) so that the UVC Air Sanitizer operates when the Light fixture is ON and is controlled by the wall switch.
- Wire UVC Air Sanitizer separately from the Light fixture with a dedicated line and switch so it can be run 24/7 if desired.
Note:
The UVC Air Sanitizer has an ON/OFF power switch on the front of the unit.
Hanger wire instructions
- Push the wire through one end, the wire come out from one hole in the middle;
- Push the wire through another end, the wire come out from the other hole in the middle;
- Pull the wire to shorten the length:
- Push the ends to loosen the wire.
How to change the lamp
Caution: UV Lamp may be hot. Turn OFF for 20 minutes before changing lamp.
- Remove the (4) screws holding the air inlet vent, please note the air inlet vent has one rivet that allows the vent to hang down but will not drop;
- Remove the (2) screws holding the lamp socket bracket;
- Loose the lamp from the lamp socket;
- Pull back the lamp socket bracket carefully;
- Pull out the old UV lamp;
- Insert a new UV lamp and attach to the lamp socket
- Replace the lamp socket bracket;
- After replacing the lamp, press and hold the Reset button for 5 seconds to reset the UVC lamp life monitor.
- Assemble the air inlet vent back
User Servicing Instructions

Change UVC lamp every 12 months. When the UVC lamp needs replacing, the Blue LED will flash. Replace Lamp with Philips TUV PL-L 36 Watt Lamp model only.
After replacing the lamp, press and hold the Reset button for 5 seconds to reset the UVC lamp life monitor. -
If there is any dust accumulation on the baffles or airways, blow off with air gun.

This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short- circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as per the user servicing instructions (follow product marking for proper fuse rating) and check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a short-circuit may be present and the product should be taken out of use or returned to an authorized service facility for repair or replacement.
