Location Example

Hardware Installation

• Check that the Zyxel Device is turned off. There should be no Ethernet cable connected providing power using PoE. Unscre the SIM card slot cover and remove it.

• Insert your Micro SIM card provided by your Internet Service Provider into SIM card slot1. Make sure the SIM card is fully inserted into the card slot

• Follow steps 1 to4 in the drawing to connect an 8-pin Cat be Ethernet cable to the Zyxel Device’s LAN (POE) port.

• Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the provided PoE injector’s POE port.

• Connect the LAN port of the injector to a computer with an Ethernet cable for initial configuration.

• Connect the power plug on the PoE injector to a power outlet

• Check the LED next to the SIM card slot.

• Check if WiFi is on – the amber LED is blinking. If not, press the
• WiFi button to enable WiFi.
• Screw the SIM card slot cover back into place. Make sure the cover is in the correct position and tightly screwed to the Zyxel Device.

Zyxel Air App Installation and Basic Configuration

Use the Zyxel Air app to find the optimal cellular signal strength.

• Use the Lyxel AIr app for inding the best place to receive a cellular signal and for basic configuration.
• On your smartphone, find the WiFi name ($SID) and enter the WiFi Key to connect (see the label on the device).
• Download and open the Zyxel Air app.
• Enter the default user name (admin) and password (see the label on the device). Olick Login.

Nebula Ciloud Registration and Monitoring

Option A: Nebula Mobile App Installation, Registration and Monitoring
Use Zyxel Nebula Mobile app to register the Zyxel Device with Nebula using the QR code.

Download and open the Zyxel Nebula Mobile app. Log in with your myZyxel account.
Create an organization and site or select an existing site. Scan the Zyxel Device’s QR code to add it to the site. (You can find the
QR code in its web configurator or on a label on the device or its box.)

Option B: Nebula Web Portal Registration and Monitoring
Use the Zyxel Nebula portal to register the Zyxel Device with Nebula using the MAC address and serial number.

Follow the steps below to manage the Zyxel Device through the Zyxel cloud- based network management system.

1. Go to the Zyxel Nebula Control Center (NCC) website
   (https://nebula.zyxel.com). Click Get Started to sign up for a myZyxel account and log in.

Create an organization and a site (network) in the NCC.
Enter the Zyxel Device’s LAN MAC address and serial number (S/N) (see the label on the device) in the NCC configuration screen.
Note: See the NCC User’s Guide for more information about configuring the Zyxel Device through the NCC.

Local Web Configuration

1 Network Connection

• Option A: WiFi connectio
• Option B: Wired connection

Option A: Find the WiFi name (SSID) and enter the WIFi Key. On your smartphone or laptop, find this SSID. Enter the key to connect.
Option B: Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to the LAN (PoE) port of the Zyxel Device through a PoE injector or PoE switch.

Note: When the Zyxel Device is managed by Nebula, use the Nebula-assigned password (Zyxel Nebula website: Site-wide
Configure General settings Device configuration: Local credentials) to log in.

Web Configuration

Open your web browser and enter “https://192.168.1.1” for initial configuration. Enter the default user name (admin) and password (xxxxxxXXXX). Click Login.

Pole/Wall Mounting: Connect M Bracket and Main Frame

Use B, C, and D to attach A to the back of the Zyxel Device

1. Use G, H, and I to attach E to F. Do not tighten the screws until you adjust the mounting angle in the final step.

Align E with A. Insert J through the holes, and use H and I to secure it

Wall Mounting (Optional)

• Use the four corner holes of C to mark holes on a wall. Drill four holes in a walI.

• Use B tO securec to the wall through A.

Pole Mounting (Optional)

• Place A around a pole. Insert A into the holes on E. Use a wrench to secure E to the pole with B. C.and D.

Table Stand (Optional)

• Use C, D, and E to attach A to the back of the Zyxel Device. Use F, G, and H to attach B to A.

Step 6 Pole/Wall Mounting Angle Adjustment

Use the Zyxel Air app to find the best place to receive a cellular signal and for basic configuration.
Note: After configuring the Zyxel Device, turn its WiFi off. WiFi is for management only.
