Disconnect Power at the main circuit breaker panel or main fuse box before starting and during the installation.

Before Installing

All installations should comply with National and local electrical codes. If you have any doubts concerning installation, contact a qualiﬁed licensed electrician.

Attach the mounting plate to the outlet box using the (2) two supplied mounting strap screws. The mounting strap can be adjusted to suit the position of ﬁxture.
Grounding instructions: (See Illus. A or B).
- A) On ﬁxtures where the mounting strap is provided with a hole and two raised dimples. Wrap ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground screw, and thread it into the hole.
- B) On ﬁxtures where a cupped washer is provided. Attach ground wire from the outlet box under the cupped washer and a green ground screw, and thread it into the mounting strap.
  If ﬁxture is provided with ground wire. Connect ﬁxture ground wire to outlet box ground wire with a wire connector. After following the above steps. Never connect the ground wire to black or white power supply wires. $KICHLER- 45876PNLED-Bordeaux-4 $1$$
Make wire connections. Reference the chart below for correct connections and wire accordingly.

*Note: When parallel wires (SPT I & SPT II) are used. The neutral wire is square shaped or ridged and the other wire will be round in shape or smooth (see illus.)|

Neutral Wire

Push ﬁxture to the wall, be careful not to pinch wires between the wall and canopy of ﬁxture, and carefully screw in the (4) ﬁxture mount¬ing screws through holes in the sides of the canopy.
Carefully slide the glass over the backplate and through the crossbar (with the open end of the glass facing the wall). Rest the glass onto/against the bottom trim.
Place the top cover onto/against the top of the glass. Rest the top cover face (side facing the wall) against the ﬂat face of the backplate.
Align the hole of the top cover with the hole of the backplate. Thread in the top cover and screw into the hole. (Do not over-tighten)
Place the screw cap over the top screw cover and push it into place.
