LA CROSSE TECHNOLOGY TX146 Temperature Sensor
POWER UP
Insert 2-AA batteries into the back of your Outdoor Sensor.
Note:
Use the channel selector to set your sensor on channel 1, 2, or 3
Power up as a Replacement Sensor
Refer to the owner’s manual for your clock or weather station to see if you
can Search for Sensor. If so, enable a search and press the TX button
(transmission) on your sensor.
If there is no Search option, try this:
- Bring your sensor inside next to the station and remove batteries from both devices.
- Press any button at least 20 times, and then wait 15 minutes.
- After the wait, install fresh batteries into both your sensor and station. Your outdoor temperature should return within the next few minutes.
- Keep your sensor next to the station for another 15 minutes to establish a strong connection.
- Once connection is reestablished, place sensor outside in a shaded location.
SENSOR MOUNTING
Sensors: Use the provided sensor stands to mount the sensors from the bottom,
back, or top.
- Position vertically to allow condensation to drain out.
Avoid spilling liquids on sensors.
SENSOR DISPLAY
- There is a Channel Selector and TX button inside the sensor battery compartment.
- Press the TX button on to manually send a signal. Hold the TX button to select Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature display on the sensor.
- The boxed number on the bottom indicates the channel selected on the sensor.
- The transmission waves will animate during transmission and be solid when not transmitting.

BATTERY INSTRUCTIONS
Battery replacement instruction:
When batteries of different brand or type are used together, or new and old
batteries are used together, some batteries may be over-discharged due to a
difference of voltage or capacity. This can result in venting, leakage, and
rupture and may cause personal injury.
- Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery suitable for the intended use.
- Always replace the whole set of batteries at one time, taking care not to mix old and new ones, or batteries of different types.
- Clean the battery contacts and those of the device prior to battery installation.
- Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -).
- Remove batteries from product during periods of non-use. Battery leakage can cause corrosion and damage to this product.
- Remove used batteries promptly.
- For recycling and disposal of batteries, and to protect the environment please check the internet or your local phone directory for local recycling centers and / or follow local government regulations.
