INSTALLATION

Thread a small threaded pipe into the end of a small loop. Pass threaded pipe on a small loop up through hole in the canopy.

Thread lock washer onto end of threaded pipe protruding from the inside canopy.

Thread hex nut onto threaded pipe protruding from the inside canopy.

Attach the open end of one chain link to a large loop on top of the fixture body. Attach another open end of that chain link to one end of the chain.

Attach the open end of one chain link to a small loop on the canopy. Attach another open end of that chain link to the other end of the chain.

Weave fixture wires through chain link no more than 3 inches apart.

Pass fixture wire through hole in a small loop on the canopy and through hole in canopy.
CAUTION – RISK OF SHOCK – Disconnect power at the main circuit breaker panel or main fuse box before starting and during the installation. -
Find the appropriate threaded holes on the mounting strap. Assemble mounting screws into threaded holes.

Attach the mounting strap to the outlet box. The mounting strap can be adjusted to suit the position of the fixture.

Grounding instructions: (See Illus. A or B).
- On fixtures where the mounting strap is provided with a hole and two raised dimples: wrap ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground screw and thread into the hole.
- On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided: attach the ground wire from the outlet box under the cupped washer and green ground screw, and thread into the mounting strap.
If the fixture is provided with ground wire: connect the fixture ground wire to the outlet box ground wire with the wire connector after following the above steps. Never connect the ground wire to black or white power supply wires.

Make wire connections. Reference chart below for correct connections and wire accordingly.

*Note: When parallel wires (SPT I & SPT II) are used: the neutral wire is square shaped or ridged and the other wire will be round in shape or smooth. (See illus.)|
Neutral Wire
- Raise canopy to ceil.
- Thread lock-up knobs onto mounting screws. Tighten knobs to secure fixture to the ceiling.
- Insert recommended bulbs. (Not included)
- Raise the glass up to the fixture. Carefully fit glass inside cage. Pass hole in top of glass over bulb and socket inside cage.
- Raise bottom trim up with foam pad to fixture with lip of trim facing up. Place trim up against the bottom of the glass with foam pad resting between trim and glass.
- Thread one screw into each hole along the trim and into holes in the bottom of the cage. Tighten the screws to secure ring in place.
